Very elegant historic hotel in the heart of downtown Boston. Short walking distance to many restaurants, historic sights and bars. Comfortable, cozy rooms.

Shower is the worst I ever experienced. Water has a nice pression in the sink and tube but not in the shower. Absolutely awful.

it is really comfortable and easy to get. It was located near Park Street station, where several subway lines intersect, providing easy access to all of Boston's major tourist attractions. I would gladly stay here again next time.

Room was very small, only about 18 inches from the wall on one side. AC/Heat was wonky. We would set the thermostat to 74° and once the room temperature is 74, the system would switch to air conditioning.
Staff was friendly and helpful. All professionals. Great location.
If I stay here again I would ask for two beds for the extra space.

Great hotel full of charm!
It’s a little dated but it reminds me travelling with my parents when I was a kid.
Sparkly clean and walking distance from everything. I really really like it!

For being one of the oldest hotels in the US it is still beautiful and very inviting. The staff in the hotel and restaurants were fantastic. Service was impeccable.

I booked for my colleague and I the exact same 2 rooms. When we checked in he was upgraded automatically and not me and he benefited a 25$ voucher for food or restaurant. So I took my room and what a surprise a noisy machine in the corridor to dry the water in the soil and the wall. It was very noisy I asked to have another room. I was finally upgraded and moved for another room. But the other room had exactly the same issue. The same machine in the corridor. Very noisy I can’t slept. My colleague had a room away from this. Why let me in this area as I complain already about the noise ????

From the valet to wait service to check out, friendly, welcoming staff! We love historic hotels and the Parker House did not disappoint. (Be sure to order the Parker House and butter!)

The staff would not check us in for our reservation, even though we had several ways to prove our identity.
Context: We just moved stated and when we went to the DMV to get new drivers licenses, they voided our out-of-state licenses and will be mailing us the new in-state licenses soon.
We were told we needed a valid ID to check in. No exceptions. Staff was condescending and borderline rude about the situation, backtracking and moving the goalposts every time we tried to show a new type of proof. First we were told the temporary drivers license certificate would be acceptable. Went back to the car to get them, and were told that they were not acceptable. It was the original certificate from the DMV, not a copy. Then were told if we showed the voided license it would be acceptable. went back to the car and got them. Then those were not accepted because they were voided, which we explained in advance before going to get them. We eventually had to give up, pack the luggage and kids back into the car, and drive away to find a new hotel. It was more expensive last minute, but the new hotel gave us absolutely no hassle about the ID situation and accepted the temp DMV certificate no problem.
So, if you happen to be in an odd situation about current photo IDs, dont bother with this hotel.

The staff were particularly professional, engaging, and 1st class!

The hotel is historic and the lobby and exterior of the hotel is amazing. They have some historic pieces downstairs that were really awesome. The room was really small, and the sink and tub didn’t drain properly. The staff was extremely nice, and the valet was a great service as the price didn’t change as many times as you need to access your car.

The staff was exceptional. very friendly and kind and professional. we never waited for the front desk or an elevator. the bar, restaurant, gym, lobby was perfect with friendly customer service.

Room was smaller than expected, but in the heart of Boston & along the Freedom Trail. Overall, it was definitely worth it.

Hotel is dirty, old out dated furniture. Small rooms, no USB ports, TINY bathroom, bathtub had chips, no fan. Restaurant not opened for dinner, pub was opened, limited menu, bad food.

Waitress that served us at Last Hurrah could use some lessons on customer service. Very cold and unfriendly especially after we sent a beer back due to it tasting bad.
Room was either stuffy or freezing cold when ac went on, never able to achieve a comfortable temperature for sleeping.

There was a strike going on at the hotel during our stay which was disruptive and I think management should have compensated guests with a reduction in the room price. Also apparently due to the strike there were workers there from out of state who really did not know what to do, so service in the restaurant was slow and not up to par for what was expected in this caliber of hotel. They were responsive to getting a refrigerator in the room(which had been previously requested) in a timely manner upon our arrival at 1am, they replaced the faulty shower head quickly and replenished supplies in a timely manner. The weekend rates were very high so our expectations were high and we were disappointed. The location of this hotel is excellent for walking to see the sites in downtown Boston.

House staff strike began several days before or scheduled arrival, but we were not notified until we arrived. We were unable to access room service or even standard linen service for the duration of our stay. The room was not clean (hair in sink and on bathroom floor) when we arrived. There was torn wallpaper in the bathroom. There was no mini fridge in the room, and no efforts were made to make accommodations more comfortable. On Friday morning the strikers picketed beginning at 6 am with drums and trumpets so we were awakened early and heard the protest all day until about 10 pm. At one point we asked for some silverware and after 45 min we called again and were told it was not going to happen. We asked for some form of adjustment for the far below luxury standards expected from such a high priced hotel and have received no feedback from Omni since we submitted our complaint.

Rooms need some updating. Bathroom tub in horrible condition, rusted fixtures and outlet didn’t work.

My husband and I were disappointed at check in that we had reserved a king sized bed over 3 months ago, and when we checked in, there were no king sized rooms available. The front desk compensated us, but it was disappointing to receive a room with two double beds instead of a king. Also, on our 2nd day of our stay, the hotel workers went on strike. We were awakened at 7:00 am to picket line shouting over megaphones, microphones, and drums. This continued this day and the next day (our last), from 7:00 a.m until 8:00 pm. We were unable to get seated at the restaurant for breakfast due to lack of workers in the restaurant. This was quite disappointing and frustrating to circumvent.

Omni Union employees were on strike. Large group of very loud hotel workers protesting outside hotel. Over priced rooms. Hôtel restaurants were closed and limited staffing. Rooms were not cleaned daily due to strike. Did not have chance to taste Parker House famous Boston cream pie due to strike. Check out was very slow. Just pay the employees what they deserve. Will not choose Omni in future.

Location was the only good thing about this place. I know it historical but I don't want to stay in a place that has old rooms.

Union workers were picketing outside! Very loud. No room service or restaurant. No cleaning of room. The staff was very nice! Just did not feel like we have the full experience of staying in a nice hotel.

It took us almost two hours to check in. It's an old building and we could hear our next door. The walls built very thin to today's standard. We could hear the elevator all night going up and down.

Nice, historic place. Great service. Large very well equipped gym with dumbbells up to 70lbs, rower, Stairmaster, Smith machine. The gym equipment you usually don’t see at hotels. A+

There was a strike while we were staying. From 7am until 11pm for the entire stay. While the front desk and restaurant staff were friendly we weren't informed of this planned strike as we were checking in, instead we were awoken by drums, sirens and people chanting.
Leaving the hotel and coming in we were subject to abuse by the staff who were on strike, being told we weren't welcome and should check out. They make it as awkward as possible to get in and out of the doors.
Because of the staff strike there was no house keeping, the restaurant was very slow and the bar closed at 10pm.
The food and drinks at the bar and restaurant were nice, though.
The hotel itself feels like it needs upgrading, but the authentic feel of the hotel is nice.
Overall the hotel is nice, and if there hadn't been a strike making the entire stay almost pointless, it would have been better.
Upon writing multiple complaints to the hotel about the lack of facilities, we were totally ignored. We should be compensated as we paid for services advertised that weren't delivered.

the rooms are extremely small and not at all what the website shows. they did not replace used towels and all this for an exorbitant price.
definitely not the room i booked and all of this at + $ 600.00 per night
also could not get into the only bar restaurant and hostess was rather unfriendlly
3.0 / 10.0
The staff was great as was experiencing the history of this hotel. However, the rooms are decidedly dated—not in a “historic” way but in a “it is really time to refurbish” way. Also, we were never able to get the Internet to work.
4.0 / 10.0
Classic okd hotel charm with wooden lobby, but dated rooms, ceiling peeling, and lacking basic standard amenities. Stay was fine but worker strike meant no daily housekeeping and restaurants closed. Hotel gym in the basement lacked any fans or airflow, very humid. Mediocre stay overall.
