Nice affordable water park and hotel for small families. Wave pool was fun and enough slides to keep a kid entertained. Close drive to cedar point from the hotel.

Cleaning crew needs to do a better job on the rooms. Multiple huge dead spiders in the room and one large living spider we woke up to in the tub.

Everything was great except the room could’ve been slightly cleaner and the beds aren’t the most comfortable but any means. But overall we as a family loved our stay.

The room was outdated and dirty. The blankets on the bed were stained with what looked like red Cheetos and I didn’t see it until after I slept because it was on the inside of the blanket! The waterpark is not great for older kids.

This is a great place for family’s with young ones not too many water slides for adults and no lazy River sadly but still a good place to stay and fun arcades! The food is pretty pricey but a lot of cheap food options near by.

The room had a chair that made out to a bed. It was dirty on the floor around it. The mattress was terrible. There was trash on the floor in the elevator and around a trash can in the lobby. No coffee pot in the room and none offered unless you paid their $20 breakfast fee. This hotel is quite pricey. And should have been cleaner.

Amazing for kids

Noticed a lack of maintenance, from exterior damage to the building (exterior of the indoor water park) to trash all over flower gardens, hallways etc and also the pillows that are supplied with the rooms are terrible.

The waterpark was nice. However, i found two weird looking bugs in my room, yellow stuff all over the bottom of the shower curtain. When you walk into the room it smells like mildew from water.

We were over charged $204. Was told that it was a system error and the charge will fall off in 7 to 10 days where there was no reason to charge me since everything was paid in full. Then they had no real reason why they charged me.

Nice place to stay

I do not not normally write reviews but felt the need for this hotel. I wanted to let parents know this place is overrated and overpriced. Thin pillows, uncomfortable mattresses, no drawers to put your clothes in and the food was meh. For the price, stay elsewhere.

The place was nice and clean, the staff were very professional and nice, the water park area was amazing and staff very knowledgeable. However the room was not very clean, the sink kept holding water, the vent fan was not working.

Checkin was super smooth . Staff was above and beyond . The big downside was it was advertised as 24 hour gym access which was a high priority on my list an found out after checkin in that their manager shut it down till 7 am as what we were told due to kids causing trouble . Was told by staff that they never updated the web description of amenities bout it .but other than that was ok so far . Had to connect to their WiFi cellular was bad connection . Minimal toiletries in room , def geared to younger children . Not to much yet as we seen for older children .the bonus was checkout beinu at 11 am a was allowed to use waterpark after checkout till 8 pm . Inside closed at 8 an outside at 9 . Overall : give it a 8/ 10 based on if it was a younger family stay but for us with a older teenager family 4/10 ( to be determined could rank higher after checkout an evaluate waterpark area better . ) the noise level : not very good , walls were not sound proficient . Family next door was really loud an it was disruptive for our visit . They ran tv all night an could hear it blasting through . But for staff rating : excellent 10/10 !! Very helpful above and beyond . Location : 10/10 . Access: only entry at front so room was clear at other end of building for that 3/10 . No other access points from parking lot with key card . For a younger ( child ) family highly recommend ! But if ur looking for ( teen ) waterpark at this entry of eval ( to early to eval ) would choose elsewhere .

Nice facility- but expensive for what you get. We’ve pool not working and $16 for buffet breakfast is a bit much. No coffee makers in the room.

This place was pretty awesome for the price I liked how not crowded it was compared to Kalahari and I liked how close it was to Cedar point I will definitely come back and stay again

The staf was great had a problem with reservation for extra nite they where unable to accommodate us so we had to leave

The property was well maintained and kept up to date.The people that run the propery are very friendly and very knowedgeable.

So the breakfast is not included which to me is crazy for the price you pay for a room. Anyways, it's annoying to pay for breakfast in general but we paid about $50 for a buffet that honestly was not that good. I definitely don't recommend eating at their buffet. The water park was cool however I found myself extremely hot just standing Inside the water park waiting for the water slides. There are about five body water slides and three were closed (I'm assuming for staffing issues). They were doing some housekeeping while we were there, I.e. patching holes and repainting which was nice to see however it still had a finger feeling to it. Also, in our kids room, there was a blood stain on their bench. That was pretty gross. Overall it was a decent stay.

Super familiar

Staff were not helpful with a request for an ADA room that was made well in advance. Hotel actually has the notation of the request because i called them directly and made the request.

We stayed one day at castaway Bay and Sandusky, Ohio after visiting Cedar point, we decided to book a room and explore the waterpark. We were very tired from a long day in the heat riding rides and going back-and-forth to the hotel to Cedar point once we wind it down to go to bed about every 10 minutes the people above us in the room on the second or third floor above room 166. The people were jumping and stomping all night long. It did not stop. It kept me in my three children up all night and I’m not one to call room service and tell them about what was going on, but it was so frustrating that I had to call at 4 o’clock in the morning a few hours later the fire alarm went off and we all had to vacate the property. It was so crazy. I think the kids pulled the alarm or something cause there wasn’t no fire or anything of that nature, but to be kept up all night to be woke up at 7 o’clock in the morning with a fire alarm it was really inconvenient. The poor area outside was my favorite nice and quiet. I don’t think anybody knows about that it was fun, food is way way overpriced omg that’s insane 35$ each person for breakfast omg nope overall I give 3 stars
