Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel across the street from the main train station in town. That was its big attraction for me. An easy 15 to 30 minute walk, depending on your agility, to the major museum and the center of town.

The interiour was a bit dated, but the room was clean and tidy. I appreciated the air con, as it was very hot. Staff was friendly and informative. I stay for one night, as I had an early train to catch. The train station, tram- and bus station is basically just outside the door - my main reason to stay in this hotel. I was surprised how wonderfuly quiet the room was, even with a window open, seeing it is right by some busy streets. There were a few restaurants in walking distance and if I remember correctly a shopping mall as well.

Wij waren hier voor één nacht met ons kleinkind. De kamer was echt heel ruim en het personeel was super vriendelijk ; zowel wij de receptie als het ontbijt. echt super. Jammer dat de kamer ( eigenlijk kamers) geen airco hadden. er stond wel in de omschrijving van het hoetel dat het airco was. ( was zeker van pas gekomen bij dit warme weer) Afstand tot de oude stad is makkelijk te voet te doen. Ontbijt was heerlijk, ook voor het kleinkind ondanks de corona maatregelen. Wij komen graag terug.

Enjoyed our stay. Very central hotel - close to the train and tram stations and a nice 20 minute walk to the city centre. Whilst the hotel is a little dated in terms of its build and decor, the service and price was excellent. Really good breakfast with a great choice and good service.

Good access to the train station, but you might notice that the hotel is a bit far from the city center. Some areas in the city center are paved with stone, which is not friendly to your suitcase. If your baggage is heavy, this hotel can be the best choice.

We need to spend a night at Braunschweig after visiting a client. We need to take early train to Hamburg the next morning, so that Mercure, across street from Train Station, is a logical choice. The hotel staff was very helpful to organise a breakfast bag for us. The single room was spacious. Wifi was quite good. So in general, it was a very good stay.

Directly opposite the trainstation. If the resturant is close McDonald's opens late. Parking is 10 euros for 24hrs or you can park in the street free between 16:00 and 09:00

Great location for Hauptbanhof. 15 minute walk to town centre. Hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful. Had bar meal 1 night which was excellent. Never had breakfast so can't comment. Rooms had tea/coffee making facilities. Would stay again if visiting Braunsweig.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on business & would recommend. Staff were really helpful & good natured, the little sports bar offered very reasonable German fare & beers with a friendly atmosphere. Very convenient for the station which is opposite with regular trains to Hannover & Hamburg. The stay exceeded my expectations.

The only slight drawback fopr this hotel is a 10-15 min walking distance from the city center. The rest is just excellent: spatious room, sumptious breakfast, reasonably priced parking and particularly, very helpful personnel. Me and my family happened to stay in Mercur during the Battle of the Year final, when the hotel was full of participants and organizers running around. Nevertheless, the receptionists were extremely polite and efficient. This was also tested and confirmed by an accident (unrelated to the hotel) where we needed and received help from the reception staff. Three cheers !!!

We stopped here for the purpose of seeing a Vermeer. Trained in and trained out and wanted something near to the main train station with access to the old town area. Stayed two nights. Had breakfast in the hotel one morning, nothing extraordinary, but convenient. Ate out for breakfast the second day.

I loved this hotel! It was more than I expected. The restaurant on the second floor was very good, and with Spargl season, they had a nice variety of dishes. The wine list was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful! Terrific variety, a large caraffe of coffee, and friendly staff. It's located right across the street from the Hauptbahnhof and all other means of public transit - buses, trams and taxis. So easy to get around from this location. On the other side is a beautiful park that connects all the way to the north to the Botanical Gardens with pathways along the river. There was so much to enjoy! Again, a pleasant surprise.

This modern hotel should have at least 4 stars. The rooms are comfortable and clean, so is the bathroom. All the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and there are no noises from next door. The whole place is bright and very clean and very well kept. We only had breakfast here which was extremely plentyful and good. The only slight disadvantage: The hotel is not centrally located, however, with plublic transport or taxi one is you will be in the city centre in minutes. We will be back here as soon as we travel again to Braunschweig.
