Our stay was fine. The property is lovely but the parking is atrocious! We arrived around 10pm, in a torrential rainstorm, and the only parking option was FAR FROM THE ENTRANCE! There was no valet service offered and the door that is close to the lot was locked so by the time we arrived back to the main entrance, we were beyond drenched.

Beautiful property!

When you walk into a hotel, and all the carpet is dirty and worn in traffic areas it speaks volumes - you ask yourself, what else is dirty? Also pretty thin walls and doors - you can hear everything.

We enjoyed this secluded property and the beautiful grounds. The staff were all very good. This is an older property but it is in pretty good condition. I would like to see a few upgrades to pool deck furniture and maintenance to the pool tiles though. There is free parking on the property but be prepared to walk a little bit to get from parking area to the hotel. The American breakfast option was ok but could be upgraded to add other choices such as a fresh fruit, grits or oatmeal to substitute out eggs and hash browns. Overall for the value we were happy and will return.

Parking is so weird and far.... At least the location property outside is so dang pretty. Seemed fairly empty also but a decent walk thru hotel & says 4 stars but water bottle in room not free, no microwave in room, TV system was a mess. AV system not plugged into TV and no apps on TV so have to link to your phone which was a hassle and a half and eventually gave up.... no mini store on location for pain meds or anything. But apart from the parking and food on location too pricey for me. It was decent and quiet.

Wonderful. I loved the pool and the trails.

Our stay started off wonderful!!! The lady at the service desk was great! The room was clean, the bathroom just needed scrub in the shower. We were disappointed there was no room service, we went to breakfast and really wasn’t a fan of the food. Very underseasoned. We got a couples massage later that day, which was nice and spent some time on the balcony. The experience was positive mostly.

An older building but very clean and the grounds and surrounding property was beautiful.
Well priced and a quick 20 minute drive into the city.

Loved this hotel ! Very peaceful and spa like - we loved the lake and ducks. Huge park like nature property. Room was large and very clean, modern amenities. Very nice area of Chicagoland.

I enjoyed the fitness, spa and pool. The dislike was walking to the parking lot was a bit far but everything else was very nice.

This is a beautiful and serene place to stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a woman at the front desk who was extraordinary in the way she made us feel welcome. Housekeeping staff was always very attentive and friendly when encountered in the halls. Our waiter in the lounge (dinner, lakeside) was friendly, attentive and very personable. Honestly, this was a perfect setting and the staff matched the setting. Thank you to all of you --- in spite of weddings, receptions, and conferences, you made our stay terrific. Thank you!

Been going for the past few years-it’s still a great hotel but could use some upgrades!! I’ve noticed it’s becoming more worn down. The carpet in hallways, need cleaning or darn right replacement. Also noticed the pool and hot tub needs a thorough scrubbing. I also noticed the pool area could use a spray down/powerwash!!

we had ripped sheets that had stains on it and they literally came and dropped off some sheets, not a sorry, not let me look and fix it … for 300 dollars a night , thought we would get better service.

It has a bit of a strange feel at first because it is obviously a repurposed building. However, it checks all the boxes for a nice hotel and has plenty of peace, space and quiet.

First, i did NOT like being ignored by the woman at the front desk, i did not like her first words being "I need to see your ID," and i dod not like having to walk what seemed like 1/2 mile to my room.

Great location, great amenities, nice places to relax. One of our favorite places to stay in the suburbs. It can get a little loud and crowded at times with kids running around.

Very nice place to stay , centrally located to everything. You can go to downtown Chicago or just simply stay local and enjoy great food and shops that’s not far from this property. The rooms are spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again when I return to the Chicago area . Check in was very smooth, just know that the parking is a little walk away from the main building but it was no problem for me .

Lovely location, nice restaurant with tasty food. Hotel and rooms are very dated and need to be renovated

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Lodge Oakbrook, and while there were some notable positives, there were also a few areas where the experience fell short.
Location:
The hotel is ideally situated near the Oakbrook Center, providing easy access to a variety of shops and dining options. However, the complimentary shuttle service to the center was inconsistent, making it difficult to plan outings reliably.
Rooms:
My room was comfortable and well-appointed, with modern decor and all the necessary amenities. The bed was very cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Service:
The staff were friendly and generally helpful. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk was responsive to my queries.
Dining:
While the included breakfast was convenient, the limited choice was disappointing. The only option available was an American breakfast, and I would have appreciated more variety to cater to different tastes.
Amenities:
The grounds of the hotel are absolutely gorgeous, offering a serene environment perfect for relaxation. However, the map provided for walking the grounds was not very useful, making it challenging to explore fully.
Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was a significant letdown. It had a noticeable layer of scum around the top, which made me uncomfortable using it. This cleanliness issue really needs to be addressed.
Overall Experience:
Hyatt Lodge has a lot of potential with its beautiful setting and comfortable rooms. However, improvements in cleanliness, breakfast variety, and

My daughter loves the pool area and all the water surrounding the hotel. BEAUTIFUL main reason we always book here

This hotel used to be a gem but has been grossly neglected. It is filthy and room amenities are massively past their prime. Service struggles likely to being understaffed.

Old partly broken furniture, old window treatments, French balcony instead of full balcony. This hotel not even close to 4 star hotel

This is the perfect hotel for family’s and individuals who are away for along period of time. This is lots of storage space in the non-handicapped rooms that allow you to be able to put your storage away with it being in the way and taking up space. We loved the pool and hot tub space allowing up to potentially 3 parties to be in the hot tub and pool without invading each others spaces. There is a lot of walking to stay on first floor. Breakfast was great, but would be nice to have more selections before having to pay an up charge. But the option was great to have! We hope to definitely be back without the cicadas. Due to this we couldn’t enjoy the patio. But it was still nice to have. Loved being able to have them make the bed daily. Made it feel as if we were just arriving everyday. The hospitality was amazing! The only thing I would change if possible, was more available parking closer to the hotel.

This is an amazing property and my only choice when I visit Chicago.

What was uniique was how far the parking was from the lodge, and the fact and there was no sign saying Hyatt. The sign says Ace (hardware) deliveres. We got in at 9:15 from dinner and were told to paki n that lot, We drove around looking for something that said Hyatt. Finally we parked in the Ace lot. I timed the walk back. It was 8 minutes. We asked the front guy if they could expect the pool hours 15 minutes because it was about to close. He said no. We said we lost the time because of having to traipse to this remotee. He said we were only gone 10 minutes. It was probably 15 just driving around looking for a Hyatt sign. That's just bizarre. So we couldn't do the one thing we wanted to do at Hyatt Lodge, use the "spa." How expensive would it be to put up a sign? Also, it's a walk outdoors. What do people do in winter when they have to climb the icey stairs? What do people with health problems do? What do people with 4-years-do.?

We loved staying at the former dorms of Hamburger U!
The rest ok was specious, the pool and hot tub were utilized but the only portion which was a disappointment was the steam rooms were separated for Men & Women. Th we were located in each other’s locker rooms.
The restaurant was nice to have the ability to sit outside.
The portions are huge, I recommend either splitting or having leftovers!

The good stuff..The property was nice, and check-in was somewhat easy. It was quiet and pretty. The bad stuff..The parking was kind of a walk if you’re carrying luggage. The shower door was extremely hard to open and close, carpets throughout hallways and rooms were dirty, pillows were very hard.

My wife and I stayed here for a nice get away weekend. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. There are dining options in the hotel and dining and shopping options about a 5 - 10 minute drive. My only complaint would be the parking lot is a good walk from the hotel so it was a little difficult dealing with luggage unless you drive up to the main entrance and drop off and pick up yoir luggage prior to parking.
