I loved this hotel - it’s on the lake and near one of the main stages of the Ascona jazz festival, which I attended. The bedding was so soft and comfortable! Staff were very helpful and friendly. I recommend it and would return.

I took s last minute trip to Ascona and had wonderful luck booking a room overlooking the lake. The room was comfortable, had a petite balcony with a table and two chairs, and the bath was modern. The staff were AMAZING and Friendly. The food was delightful. Bteakfast was a typical European buffet, and eggs and bacon could be made to request. I will definitely return to this lovely hotel.

While this is waterfront Ascona with restaurants below and over by the water it was very quiet and comfortable with double glazed windows. Very good value.

We were more than happy when we arrived - the hotel was clean and comfortable with delicious breakfasts, the area around the hotel was great, we were within a short walk of the town, and the views were spectacular. Hard to imagine anything that could have been better.

Nice room with incredible views. Staff is friendly and helpful at reception and in the restaurant. As others have said, not easy to find the hotel parking area, but very close to hotel.

Stayed for one night and enjoyed our stay. Hotel has a great location and we opted for a room with a lake view. It was worth it. Breakfast was super delicious and personnel very friendly.

Warm welcome, clean room and a great breakfast. However, at 5.58am they started vacuuming, bringing out the sunshade and taking deliveries. I don’t mind 7am but not before!

Our family had a nice one night stay at the hotel. It is perfectly centrally located. The room has been updated recently and has a nice design. Our view of the bay was wonderful. The front desk was very nice and professional and the breakfast in the morning was great. Overall it was a very nice stay and parking up the street was easy to find, but contact the hotel prior to your stay to get directions.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Ascona, this is your hotel. Friendly staff, good service, free mini bar, free public transportation card, easy to use AC in the room, delicious breakfast with lake view, free bottle of mineral water on the way out. Clean and modern room, spacious, comfortable bed and towels, modern shower and bathroom, located in the center of Ascona near the lake for a normal price. I was impressed. The only negative: I heard some noises in the morning.

We spent just one night at the hotel and we were not disappointed. We had a lake facing room with a small balcony, the views are amazing. Location is perfect, right on the promenade with easy access to restaurants, boutique stores, the local Coop and to water activities.If however you are looking for a noise free environment then consider an alternative location. There is constant activity on the promenade, including pop-up informal stores setup for evening trade, etc.Parking for hotel guests is a short walk from the hotel through the steep cobbled narrow streets. Best is to drive up to the hotel entrance on the promenade, offload bags and then drive to the parking area. Overall our experience was excellent, wed book at Albergo Carcani again, without question.
