First of all the grounds are gorgeous, our room was ready, incredibly clean and the view was magical. The staff was warm and welcoming. On the second night there was a backup in our bathroom , roots were clogging the pipes.we were told we had to change rooms and it was rather late. I was really rather upset after unpacking and getting comfortable we were ready to rest for the evening. I really just wanted to enjoy my trip. The manager Claudia was very understanding and warm. She upgraded our room to the Presidental suite, which by the way is out of this world beautiful. The room wasn’t quite ready so she apologized and offered a complementary breakfast because of the hassle of not only changing rooms but having to wait for them to fix the air conditioner and clean the room. Again they kindly stepped up and we were offered a complimentary massage , which by the way was an amazing one. It isn’t just the fact that they made up for the inconvenience in the best of ways, but that Claudia did it with such sincere kindness. The main director came by at breakfast the next day and gave me a really pretty hand carved heart and apologized. Such a sweet gesture. It’s hard to find that kind of heart felt treatment nowdays and I will never forget them or the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in. Claudia went far beyond her call of duty and we will never forget her or the incredible experience of all the workers at this one of a kind hotel. Pool and beaches wow!!

This place was amazing! It is not however ADA friendly. So many stairs! We would get over 10,000 steps in just a few hours from going up and down to the pool/beach. They do have transportation available so I wouldn’t let this discourage you from staying. We stayed with our young kids (ages 6 and 7) and they also loved it! We liked that it was quiet and family friendly. Not a party scene like some of the other hotels down the beach.

Quinta Real is a beautiful property! Our room was quite aways from the pool and beach area so we walked a lot. We did not mind this at all! But, it is something to think about if you decide to stay at this property. We had lunch twice by the pool, amazing food! Loved the tostadas!!! The beach area is beautiful as well! Rooms are a bit dated, but large as we got a room with a private pool. Beds are small if you get the two doubles. They are doubles - not Queens. Overall, great stay! The staff are phenomenal!

Amazing resort with amazing staff. Everyone from the time you're picked up until the time you leave was great. There are great views from everywhere in the hotel. The pool is right next to the beach and the pool staff is very friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay there again.

There is no doubt that this hotel scores for its location above the sea and quality of its grounds. Then the rooms are large and very comfortably equipped. Overall making for a peaceful experience. The restaurant service is excellent from a reasonable menu and not too much more expensive than eating out. Our disappointment was really the internet access - impossible to keep a connection and with all service lost for hours on two out of 4 days - very frustrating.

The hotel is great! Location above the bay provides great views. Place is quiet and with few rooms it is not crowded. Staff is the best you can find anywhere , super attentive and friendly all of them ! You have to take some stairs to go anywhere in the property due to its layout , but it is not bad as long as you don’t have any sort of disability. Wife and I went down to beach and back up taking the stairs through the lush gardens daily more than once without problems and we are in our 50’s. Food is delicious and price reasonably , definitely a great place is you are looking for peace and relaxation

Our first time staying in Quinta Real, Huatulco, a boutique hotel with only 28 rooms. The hotel is older but the views are spectacular. The personnel are very serviceable and attentive to the guests needs. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Quinta Real was great from beginning to end. The attention to detail by the staff is amazing. Check in with Lissette was smooth and quick. Upon arrival we were greeted by Juan (who's awesome) and given cool eucalyptus infused towels and ice cream. From there the view from the top of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL. There are mosquitoes so I do recommend applying/ bringing bug spray. You can also purchase natural repellent at the local grocery store (Chedraui). We stayed in the king suite that had a hammock and personal pool. The room had a great view and was very spacious. The toiletries offered were toothbrush, toothpaste, a few q-tips, sewing kit, and all of your other normal items offered by a hotel. There is a fan in the sitting area and the a/c works well. My first issue out of 2 was with our a/c, it was leaking water when on. The second, was the water pressure not being the greatest. It's not a deal breaker but definitely noticeable. The food was delicious and I do recommend it however it is on the more expensive side versus going to a local restaurant. Nonetheless, if it's within your budget go for it. We were served by Onofre, Gerardo, Rafael, Miguel, and Gabriel. They were all outstanding and did a great job. During our stay the property itself was quiet and we did not have any issues with loud neighbors. Our cleaning lady did a great job (unfortunately we did not get her name). Upon our departure Jairo took great care of us. He went above and beyond.

Upon arrival the concierge and staff was excellent once it came time to check into room upon entering the AC was not working and the room smelled of mold. We complained about this issue several times we could not get an eta of when this serious issue would be fixed. My wife and I could not even get settled into room because it was inhibitable at this temperature ( It was hotter in the room than it was outdoors). To their credit this issue was resolved later in the day but to great inconvenience to us. As we were getting ready to settle in my wife discovered a small scorpion crawling on the wall of our concrete head board, in the morning we had the pleasure of meeting its mother under our suit case (Huge Scorpion) this place is crawling with them BEWARE!!!. Pool Staff; BARTENDER ATTN. ⚠️VERY RUDE⚠️ We found ourselves being ignored several times on different occasions not sure but certain that it had something to do with our darker complexion as we observed the lighter skin folks being attended to promptly without hesitation. It was as if our business was not important to them! Not to mention the food was mediocre and over priced! WAY OVER PRICED!!!! We really wanted to come back for our anniversary in December due to the spectacular ocean views / private pool, unfortunately, this will be a one and done for us due to the negative outweighing the positive. We will be visiting and taking our business to Secrets Resort Huatulco.

Beautiful location, very impressive building with sweeping views. The staff are very welcoming friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean large and over 2 levels, the bottom level was the private pool which could do with some maibtainace many tiles just sitting in the bottom of the pool. However it was clean and refreshing every day. The air conditioning just doesn’t work. Had maintence come to fix but nothing. So the room was still comfortable but a/c didn’t poop reform. The shower head was a mess, water everywhere. It just needs changing. These smell things didn’t take away from our holiday. Although for the price they should be fixed.

Very nice property, but very poorly mantained. It needs more personnel to be able to offer prompt services. You should have your own gym. It would be nice to have an exclusive hotel area on the beach with special facilities, similar to the pool area. The air conditioning works, but does not respond to the control. In the morning you wake up with sweat, since the air conditioning does not cool well in the morning. May be the hotel turns it down. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The swiming pool needs comlete renovation and good mainteinance, also on the slopes bellow it. It is not nice to look out of the pool and find all sort of garbage right bellow. The central pool area is very nice. We had also a very good dinner at the hotel.

A bad start when the airport transfer booked through the hotel failed to show leaving us to make our own arrangements. On arrival the front desk staff had no clue when our room might be ready and no idea what we could do in the meantime. In the end we had lunch while we waited. Returning here after 18 years we conclude little or no maintenance has been done in the intervening years. Food was disappointing and while the rest of the hotel world has moved on QR has not. The beach service was almost non-existent and while others have non-motorised water sports as standard, not QR, sadly. They hosted a large local wedding on Saturday and failed to make arrangements to accommodate staying guests while public areas were occupied by the wedding group. We even had to ask for the room to be serviced one day despite it having been routine previous days. We loved the hotel the first time and staff then could not have been more accommodating.

This is a luxurious complex on an absolutely stunning hilltop site with a spectacular 180 degree view of Tangolunda Bay. You get that view from the rooms, from the dining areas and from the pool (which is also very beautiful). Its modest size makes it uncrowded, quiet and very peaceful. The rooms are lovely. The restaurant is good, not great. The hotel is quite isolated so plan to spend your time there lounging and walking on the beach.
