The main problem with this hotel was the lack of parking spaces. Apart from this, the hotel is nice and comfortable and not too far from the main town area of Celle.

The hotel was nice and has a lot of potential, but some aspects could be improved. The pillows for example were pretty poor quality and seemed very old. However the building was beautiful, the location was good and breakfast was excellent quality. The breakfast room was also very pretty with plenty of natural light and nice views. If certain details like the quality of bedding was improved the hotel would be absolutely excellent.

Caroline Mathilde has truly evolved over the past few years. The location is quiet and very close to the town centre. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, well presented and delicious. The pool is pure bliss. Pillow gummy bears are a nice touch :-) Thanks to all the staff and special shoutout to Wiebke who made our stay enjoyable.

We had a 3 days stay in Celle, and we where very pleased with the comfort of this hotel. We used the swimming pool, which is a very nice extra. Breakfast is excellent, the only thing that could be better is the restaurant. We only used in one time, and it does not live up to the same high standard as the rest of the hotel. It can not be recommended, You get a much better meal in Celle town.

Enjoyed two nights at this lovely hotel. Came a bit early, but my room was ready. The room was big enough for me and had a minibar with reasonable prices and coffee maker. The beds was perhaps a bit hard, but I have never slept so well at hotel before! Because of C19 you have to reserve time for breakfast (if you want to enjoy breakfast at the hotel) and that worked well: there were never too many people in the restaurant, so it didn't feel crowded. There were everything you needed: scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages; 2 kinds of juice, yoghurt, homemade muesli, bread, cheese, honey and much more! They only allow 5 people at the same time in the pool area, but again, it worked well. The pool area is also nice. Could reach the old town within a 5 min walk. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again, if I should come to Celle again.

I had a very nice stay in connection with business travel to Celle. The hotel is nicely located just outside the city center, making it less busy than most other hotels, while still easily within walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room I stayed in was very good, modern bathroom with a small shower, comfortable bed, desk, safe, closet and minibar. I also enjoyed the pool and sauna in the neighboring building, which is a nice bonus over most other hotels in the region. The Kanape restaurant also serves good food, so you are not dependent on going to the city for dinner. Breakfast was also nice, an ok selection of continental breakfast, where the only negative to note was rather dry bread. The wifi worked well on my laptop, although I couldn't connect on my phone for some reason. All in all I had a very enjoyable stay, and would recommend this hotel whether on business or vacation travel.

The hotel was close to the town centre. The hotel is okay but there seemed to be no restaurant on some nights of the week and the quilts in the room were quite small. They could do with investing in better bed linen.

The hotel is well situated across the river and near to the old town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The in-room air conditioner worked well and was not too noisy. For those who need an elevator, it worked well. The breakfast was hearty and tasty and the service was very good. The grounds are landscaped and quite pleasant. I think I will stay here again, but there are some drawbacks. • The walls are thick, so you do not hear anything the adjacent room, but I was on the 3rd floor, and whoever had the room above me did a lot of walking around. I heard every footstep. • The door lock was fine, but the deadbolt lock did not. I left the bathroom door open in case any of the staff were to enter unexpectedly, but this was never a problem. • The door to the cabinet that houses the in-room coffee maker came off its hinges and was on the floor leaning on the cabinet. I stayed 4 nights, and it was never repaired. I did not report it, as I thought housekeeping would be on top of this. Apparently not. • There are several power outlets around the room, but there is only one plug per outlet. If you want to work at the desk, you must choose between the lamp and power for your laptop. (at checkout, I was told there are business rooms available with better access) • The Wi-Fi worked fine, but you can only connect one device at a time. (I did not think to ask for a separate pass code.)

Nice hotel, pleasant surroundings, comfortable room but bathroom was small, shower very tight and difficult to access by climbing over the fairly high tub wall, a difficult task for elderly persons (Fotos picturing the room showed a walk-in shower, not a tub/shower combo). Also, bathroom suffered from an unpleasant sewage-like odor coming from either the sink or the bathtub drain which - despite spraying perfume- could not be eliminated.

Lovely setting in Celle. Useful to have parking behind the hotel although at busy times may be a squeeze. Booked a triple room with a double and a baby cot which was a very tight squeeze with suitcases as well. Room facilities were very basic, old fashioned, although very clean. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful. Ideal for a one night stop over.

It was nice to stay in this hotel. Clean rooms and very quietfull, with an extraordinary indoorspool and spa. The only problem that we experienced was that we were searching for an hotel in Hannover and we got this one like a result...we took it because it looked nice and the price was decent but when we got there we realize that it’s an aprox. 40 km road to Hannover..

The hotel is very comfortable and quiet with sound reducing doors in each of the short corridors. Its spread over two buildings with most of the rooms in the building next to the one with reception. Food menu in the dining room is limited to say the least; what they have is good but a very small menu. Only downside was the inconsistent wireless internet which would fail completely for a few days. I think they reset the router or something and after that it got better. Don't have more than on device on the wireless at the same time or they will lock each other out. But you can ask for multiple device access at the front desk Pool is lovely.

Very polite and professional staff and all multi-lingual. The rooms are small but well adorned and comfortable. The attached restaurant is warm and welcoming, the food is great. Hot water is affected by neighboring rooms so watch it. The Wi-Fi connection is single device only, if you log in with a second device it will log you out on the first so bring a Wi-Fi bridge with you if you need multiple usage.
