Easy walk to the historic old town

In the first days it was extremely cold in the hotel.
The staff was friendly and made an effort to solve all the problems, including the cold in the room (due to the crisis, it was forbidden in Italy to turn on the heat). The hotel was full of guests and, on the first nights, they gave us extra blankets. After three days, the problem was solved by changing the room.
I had an emergency and needed to work on the computer one night. They provide me with one computer and Internet access.
Outside of the hours when guests were allowed access, they allowed us to sit in the dining room and served us hot tea.
The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff very attentive.

Ilgo is a nice hotel with a good value for money. It is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly. The view from our room at the 4th floor was fantastic. Good breakfast.

Horrible experience. No sound isolation between rooms - the guest in the room next door had an alarm snoozing every 10 minutes from 5am to 7am. Don't stay there if you need a proper night of sleep.

The room smelt of a cheap sanitiser, I guess it was at some stage a smoking room. The room was clean, but it was completely tattered, it was ready for a refurb. Even with the ac at 30 Celsius it was cold. Breakfast was ordinary, stale bread and watered down orange juice. Location at the bottom of a valley was cold and dark. On the other hand it was not very expensive, but nothing is in Italy this time of year, however it was the most overpriced and charmless hotel i stay in so far.

This is incredible value for money 💰

Great staff. Good food. Rates are great for what you get. Needs a bit of a refresh, but really no complaints. Also, its just a 20 min walk to town.

It is value for money however the location is a bit out and facilities basic no restaurant
Rooms are old and needs some up lifting

The hotel staff was really great, friendly, and everyone eager to help with anything. The hotel is in a nice secluded area and the shuttle service in the morning and the afternoon/evening helped a lot (thank you, Andrea) but in fact a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the city centre was nice as well. So, I found the location of the hotel perfect! Would recommend it to anyone coming to Perugia!!

Ilgo is outside the old walls. Their van takes you to and from the Etruscan Gate in 5 minutes, on time. The hotel is small, 4 floors, with views of nearby homes perched hillside. It has a good chef and we enjoyed excellent dinners reasonably priced. Fabrizio and Natalia at the reception desk could not have been more helpful. This is not a fancy place but is a great value.

Excellent hotel, the staff were brilliant and friendly. Good location for touring area and visiting Perugia.

A little far out from the centre, but with free regular shuttle. 20 min walk back - downhill. Rooms good with small balconies. A little dated but popular with all sorts. Shaded in trees and in a steep valley with pleasant views. On site restaurant with changing menu. Very helpful staff. Parking for those with cars.

Clean hotel, very quiet green location. Free shuttle buses into town daily. Breakfast for 6Euro. Shower small like most of Europe. Good view from our room 302. Staff were helpful

Although the hotel is a bit older, it is well maintained and clean. Rooms are spacious. Plenty of parking; breakfast was decent, and the attached restaurant served a nice dinner. Walking distance to the historic center of Perugia is about 20min; mostly up. The hotel provides a limited shuttle service into the center. Nice sitting area outside.
Wifi was occasionally a bit slow in the rooms but I was able to watch a soccer game life in the foyer. If I go back and remember it, I will book it again.

Nice hotel within walking distance of the old city. Free parking and good quality wifi was a bonus. Breakfast was pretty standard but the coffee was a definite disappointment - an instant Nescafe machine rather than the lovely Italian coffee I'd grown used to.

The hotel is approximately 1-km away the center. There is a hotel shuttle to the center at certain times each day. But the latest shuttle service from the city was in the early evening, which gave not enough time to have dinner in the center. The hotel restaurant is open until 21:15, which we didn't try. At first, it was difficult for us to find its place, we recommend you to get the directions in advance. Free car-parking and free wi-fi services are pleasant. There were some big group tours staying at this hotel during our 4-day stay, the people from these tours were making lots of noisy conversations at late hours in the nights in the outdoor sitting area. Since our room was just above this conversation area, we had difficulties in sleeping.

The hotel is all that the practical traveller needs, it is very clean, the breakfast is outstanding, the staff are really what makes the hotel so pleasant, they are very obliging and go out of their way to be of assistance and to make sure your stay and experience of Athens is maximised. The hotel has a bar and has dining facilities. The location is good; if you are reasonably fit you can walk to all the major tourist destinations, along flat streets. If public transport is needed, the hotel is near a major transport hub in Omonia Square. Close by there is a choice of reasonably inexpensive eateries. The free Wi Fi is great. There was some noise in the room from outside, at times quite loud, but that did not detract from the stay. If you are looking for a large flat screen TV, you won't find one; but you are not there to watch television. The bathrooms are small and the shower stall did not have a curtain or glass enclosure, so showering became a skill if flooding the bathroom floor was to be avoided. Again this was not an major issue for us. On balance the good far out weighed the bad. We intend to return and would recommend the hotel

Good hotel but a good 15 minutes walk from the centre of Puglia. There is a hotel bus but that only takes you half way into town. The walk did not bother us, in fact after dinner in town it was quite nice.
3.9
Hotel was very nice but was far from the sights we wanted to see. Hotel does provide a shuttle which we should have taken to town but it only runs a few times a day.
3.9
Hotel is centrally located, for daily drive trips, however, it would be very difficult to find without GPS. Fulfills what most traveler's are looking for i.e free breakfast, free parking and free internet. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle into Perugia. Rooms are clean but a little dated. Nice balcony. It might be a bit noisy for some as it is a busy place with a lot of groups coming and going. The restaurant is OK! Perugia is very difficult to drive through, make sure you have GPS or you know where your going!
3.9
A potentially difficult hotel to locate but the signs around the approach to Perugia are excellent.
At first glance this hotel may disappoint because it has a slightly shabby appearance but do not be put off. Our room was excellent - great bed and very clean especially the bathroom.
Good and efficient breakfasts

Fantastic view of Umbria hills, french doors and terrace. Great bed, flat screen TV with BBC and CNN and bidet. Bit far from train station but stone's throw from old city. Good bus service. Front desk staff exceptionally friendly and helpful with day trip advice!!

Ok we got a real cheap deal for our one night at the end of our Italy trip but we got good value. The rooms were clean and spacious, not far from the town. Breakfast was good. The service was excellent. And a really beautiful town. If you want someonewhere decent just to lay your head that's good value this is a good choice. Basic but good.

The Hotel Ilgo is in a vale just down from Perugia's hilltop historical center and Etruscan Arch. We three (parents and teenage son) received a warm welcome at the front desk. Our room was suitable for three, with ample beds, space, and bathroom. Our room, like all those on the front side, had a small balcony with a beautiful view up the hills and across the valley. The hotel offers regularly scheduled van trips the short distance to the center at no charge. Breakfast was the best we had in 11 days of travelling: a full buffet with cappuccino on demand. We had booked "half board" through Expedia which was well worth it, and enjoyed dinner at the hotel's modest but well-run restaurant. Try their grilled pecorino cheese with pear or the baccala miste (baked codfish).
