Oia Villa Mare has a great location with fabulous views. It’s one of those “cave hotels” with rounded white walls. The rooms have a lot of natural light and are great to spend time in when you are not exploring. The staff is very helpful.

Beautiful views and fantastic service from planning to the stay. Will return!

Fantastic hotel. Room was great with an absolutely stunning view. Staff was also helpful with whatever we needed.

I stayed in the middle of August.
In conclusion, I was satisfied with the very nice staff.
The man at the reception desk was very kind. Every morning, the women and men who prepared breakfast were kind, and I had a wonderful time.
I could look up at the old castle of Ia from the hotel, and of course I could see the sunset beautifully. I was worried about the poor drainage of the shower, but everything else was fine, and I had a comfortable two days.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Oia Maria is located in the heart of Oia with some great view of the sea, harbor and sunset. Staying in Oia Maria you get the feel of classical Santorini cliff side living. Be prepared for a lot of climbing up and down and very fulfilling. The sunset view was excellent from the resort

The staff, rooms and views were all incredible. Lots of stairs so not suitable for those with difficulty walking or handling stairs.

Great llovayion. Get up early. Make sure you have your aerobic ability in order.

This property is not what I was expecting. Once you get your ride from the port / airport, you get dropped off at the post office and walk from there. You walk through the caldera going up and down narrow lane ways and steep stairs. The experience is definitely authentic! It was the most unique place I’ve ever stayed at. Views are incredible. Staff is great and very helpful. Very expensive (as expected for the area) but the drinks and food are actually cheaper if you stay at the hotel bar/restaurant.
We would come back if we ever come to Santorini again!

This lovely hotel is in a convenient location approx 10 mins walk away from Oia town centre. There is also a small mini market 5 mins walk away. Lots of steep steps around this hotel in order to go into town centre. We used the porter service the hotel kindly provided to help carry our suitcases during check in & check out. This service is really useful otherwise it would have been difficult to find this hotel on our own. Breakfast is lovely, good variety of options for vegetarians as well. Pool was nice, it is not heated so would recommend choosing one of their rooms with hot tub. Overall this place is kept very clean and the staff are kind and helpful.

Customer service was inadequate. There was no help with luggage during check in or out. We were assured there would be someone to help with out luggage during our check out due to mobility issues and limited physical capability. We waited until 3:50am and our ride to the airport was supposed to pick us at 4am. The front desk staff did not understand us, we tried to clarify that we needed help with our luggage multiple times and the receptionist assured us someone would be there to help us carry our bags but no one showed up at the time we requested there was a very big communication barrier. We will not be staying here in the future.

Only after a few hours after checking into the hotel and having our credit card scanned our card was compromised. Even though we had our room paid in full before arrival, they took copies of our passports and credit card. After speaking to the front desk about it, we were told it's not there problem. We explained that the card was ONLY used at their hotel. Again...not there problem. At breakfast the next morning we found 4 more people with the same issue. Again the hotel said it's not our problem.
Luckily our credit card company caught it, but it created a huge problem for the remainer of our holiday.
BEWARE!!!!!

The reviews for this property were very mixed so I wasn't sure what to expect -- but Oia Mare Villas was perfection! The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful ocean view and private outdoor jacuzzi. The hotel staff were helpful and informative, helping coordinate transfers from the airport and to the port as well as provide and arrange excursions for us. The steps up and down Oia to the property are not for those who are not steady on 2 foot unassisted. My mom (in her 60s) has a bad knee and had trouble with them. We just took our time. The hotel staff will meet you at the top of town to take your bags down for you. Make sure to tip them well! It was very busy in Oia starting around 10am, but that was expected. We enjoyed the sunset from the hotel property two of the three nights we were there, and the crowds that gather at the top of Oia are many. It's quite the experience. I can't wait to return!

This property IS AMAZING!! It had a lot of stairs and was tiring at times, but so worth it! Our room was perfect - we enjoyed the private space to watch the sunset. The view was STUNNING!! So beautiful! The front desk gentleman (first initial A) was so sweet! Super friendly and helpful. The porter(s) were
A hose d! We had a gentleman the first day who was fantastic and then on our last day we had the same man and another man who might have been the groundskeeper of the hotel (we saw him do everything on the property - watering plants, sweeping, cleaning the pool - even helping us find our room the first day!) also helped. He carried our luggage UP all of the stairs. These were heavy! I was so impressed and so grateful for their help. This place was wonderful - totally recommend it! I hope to stay at Oia Mare Villas again. Just a lovely place with such wonderful hotel staff!

I am not sure where should I start with this property. This is the only property where we had the worst experience and also this was the one of the expensive properties we booked it for our trip.
Let’s start with the good things
1. View is 10 out of 10 and they do have private deck to see the sunset
2. House keeping staff is superb
Now coming to our worst experience we had
1. Room reservation is a full scam and they will show you 56 photos for the room type and they will try to give the worst room you can imagine. The reservation manager who looks after the reservations is so rude and has zero etiquette to speak to the customer. My suggestion is to not to expect the room you looked in the pictures as it all depends on the reservation manager’s mood to allocate the room. We had a lot of arguments on the room with the reservation team and Expedia and finally we got the expected room the next day
2. Their breakfast is so bad. If your chef doesn’t know how to make the basic croissants then you should definitely start looking at your stars which you are very proud of
3. Reception girl who did our onboarding don’t know the name - She is the 2nd rude person I met from this property. She has zero experience is talking to handle the customer and she also started scolding the house keeping staff in local language as the staff was just trying to help the customer
In summary. Worst customer experience and bad service

Outside of helping with luggage and organizing things .
The suite jacuzzi was not cleaned until I complained
Dirty bag of towels were left in the patio suite area
Not very accommodating on many fronts
Had ants in the suite / they obviously didn’t do one more ck before we arrived
Suits itself was conveniently close to shops not convenient to main building - look at other options first

Absolutely beautiful view and room. Location to die for and the private platform to view the sunset was totally worth it. Room was massive and the spa excellent.

The suite itself is really beautiful. There were 4 of us and our teenage daughter was thrilled to have her own suite upstairs. It was an interesting layout, the upstairs suite is actually a separate outside entrance. Felt like we got a good taste of Oia by staying here. It’s not private at all. We never even used the hot tub because there’s always tons of people standing right there and restaurants overlooking, etc, I even felt weird walking upstairs outside in my pajamas to check on my daughter in her suite with so many people watching me. Also, it says you have access to hotel facilities, but it’s pretty far and strenuous to get there-you can’t just pop over. We tried to watch the sunset there one night (after a very crowded, and hot walk to get there, and lots of trouble finding it. It was small and we left early—just one other couple there and just wasn’t very comfortable—nowhere to sit, Overall, suite itself very nice, and a lot of the issues are just what it’s like to stay in Oia—crowded, strenuous walks, etc.

Fantastic hotel! It is in the middle of Oia right in the cliff with picturesque view. Also very close to the Oia castle with an amazing view of sunset and sunrise views.

Nice views. You need to go down several stairs to get to the property. This is not a property for older folks or little kids. Breakfast is included. No restaurant, but limited menu items during the day. They had porters for help with the luggage which is a must.

Love the cave villa setting and the sunset view.

You are in a super hot touristic spot, but still enjoying quiet private private areas. Views are amazing (much better than in any pictures), what an unforgettable pretty place. Room and services were impecable.
2.5
We loved the place. Amazing views, excelente service. Everyone very kind and helpful. There are many steps to go up and down everyday so if you don’t mind that the place is amazing!
2.5
My fiancé and I stayed in the honeymoon suite w/ private hot tub for 3 nights and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The room was gorgeous, clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. The view from the patio is absolutely stunning. The pictures don’t do it justice. There isn't a direct view of the sunset from the patio, but you can walk up to a communal patio near the suite with a full view.
As others have mentioned, it would be difficult to find the hotel on your own so I recommend booking one of their drivers to pick you up from the airport. This is not unique to this hotel though. Any hotel in Santorini that is not along the top of the cliffs will be difficult to find and require walking down steep, narrow stairs so plan accordingly.

Hotel room is spacious with beautiful caldera & sunset view on rooftop. it is many strenuous steps up to the main street, so if you are not into climbing, this is not the place for you. Staff is friendly and helpful. Though I have to complain that for 600 Euro per night, bottled water is only complimentary for 1st night and breakfast is mediocre to say the best.

We were very pleased with our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful - reception gave us several good restaurant ideas and were great in coordinating travel for day excursions. Very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet is nice. Little rooftop deck was great! Would highly recommend this place.

Couldn’t get breakfast before 8:00. Some tours.started before! Otherwise staff was very accommodating.

Very nice clean hotel. Staff is very nice they are very helpful. Depends which side is your room you can see sunset from this hotel even they have area top of the room from where you can see sunset. But you have go through so many steps if you are healthy worth it. We have booked honeymoon suite it was amazing with hot tub outside.

An absolute gem in the best area of Oia. Our unit is cave style and very spacious. Many picture perfect spots in and around the property.
