Amazing room with comfortable beds and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Needed a referigerator, so I think we were upgraded. Great room w all we needed.
Drove south to Pismo Beach one day, then north to Hearst Castle and up Big Sur next day.
Beautiful sunsets at Moonstone Bay 10 min drive.

Double check to make sure you aren't actually staying across the street from the lodge, not a nice surprise. The plumbing in that building stinks and you won't be able to flush the toilet properly. There is no coffee pot in the room, only a kettle. We were not greeted at check-in, our arms were full of items and they didn't offer to help once they told us they were sending us across the street. The breakfast isn't anything to write home about, but the staff that serves breakfast is very nice. The grounds that we could see were very nice. We didn't really spend much time visiting the ground since we were staying across the street. They need to disclose in the description of their hotel that guests may be put across the street and accommodations might not be as nice as the regular Lodge. This property is one I would revisit but I would request that the room be at the actual property. They really need to retrain the older gentleman at the front desk and they really need to learn to take care of guests better. Service is lacking here.
All of that said, changing a few things would make me fall in love with the place. The property is beautiful.

Beautiful place to stay.. love the grounds.. hot tub wasn’t hot enough, seemed to have a lot of flies inside breakfast eating area😞much older crowd..my mom loves it and they have live music every night.. I would stay again.. they have a beautiful garden and setting up Christmas lights..The Christmas store is crazy good😊

We liked our visit very much

Great stay! Room was spacious and quiet. Had a fireplace for the chilly mornings and a secluded patio.

Upon arrival, front desk clerk (Anthony) and his female side kick were unfriendly with stoic expressions. Neither greeted me and I stood at the counter waiting to be acknowledged. They seemed unannoyed to be at work. Once I announced myself, both were less than accommodating.
Our room was near the noisy main road. Stairway to our room was dirty and cobwebs throughout.
Breakfast was less than ideal.
Grounds were beautiful, clean, and well maintained.
Public restroom was clean and well stocked.

Good location in the woods and the included pool + hottub was really nice after a long day on the road

The room was clean and spacious however the blinds were broken where you could see right in. We were on a ground floor room. The wifi did NOT work and I received unfriendly reasons why and shoulder shrugs from the front desk. If I wasn't so tired I would have left. Very disappointed.

It was just perfect to stop for one night on the way to Los Angeles.

I love this hotel and the location but this time they put me for the first time across the street, I think the building is called Moonshadow, I usually stay on the other side (Woodfern). This room was in really poor conditions, the blind wouldn’t open since the wand was missing, there was so much moisture inside the room that the condensation in the glass doors of the patio was dripping from the inside every morning and the carpet was wet since we arrived. The electricity in the bathroom went out and someone had to come fix it. I feel really bad because this location is amazing every time I lodge with them. This particular time was disappointing. I hope they get to upgrade the room like it deserves it.

We enjoyed the scenery, the staff, the breakfast and spacious suite. Needed a little updating but space was great! Will definitely try to come again.

This lodge is serene garden to relax and enjoy nature. It has gidt shop, restaurant and buffet breakfast. It allows for your pet to stay in the room. I would choose to stay on top floor in case you get upstairs neighbors that make noise like running hurd of mustangs while you are trying to sleep.

The hotel and staff were warm and inviting. I wish we could have stayed a few more days. The food in the restaurant was tasty and breakfast was plentiful but went quickly. Unfortunately there was a sewage smell that came out of the sink.

Staff was not very welcoming. The rooms do not have AC, and it was incredibly stuffy, hot and humid when we checked in. They did bring us a box fan.

This was a beautiful property. This was very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that we could not control the A/C and our room was 74°.

I'm reviewing how the hotel handled my cancellation request. I was rear-ended 3 hours before our schedule weekend trip to stay in Solvang and Cambria. We had to cancel our weekend plans. I understand that the hotel had no obligation to cancel, refund or provide credit but under such circumstances, I was hoping they would be understanding. The hotel in Solvang didn't even ask for the police report number that I offered and cancelled the reservation. They asked how I was doing. Very different experience with Cambria. The man said, well if you would have booked directly with us, you could have had a later cancellation time and insisted Expedia was the only one that could cancel. So I call Expedia. They negotiate with Cambria on my behalf. Everything is no, no, no on their end. No compromise at all. Cambria could have just said it was their decision so I would not have wasted my time reaching out to Expedia. When I texted that to them, they said they had to account for fees etc. They could have given me credit minus Expedia fees. lots of ways but no, nothing. They could just be more honest about who is saying no to a refund. They want to be on Expedia but not treat customers decently due to the fees. Doesn't matter that I was in an accident. I would not have even known about your hotel except for Expedia. You get more customers because of it. I won't stay here just for the way they treated me when I was already down.

Clean and comfortable . Will be booking again in future .

The room was clean but easily soiled by the number of dry leaves near the entrance and in the garden enclosure off the bedroom.

Layout of room was great, balcony was impeccable. Neighbors below us were terrible, kids screaming, dog barking, Parents were not responding made the mornings terrible. Shame a great property was ruined by incompetent guests

Check in was not good. We got there a little after 3. Were told it wasn’t ready and they would call us when it was. By 4.30 and still no call went back to front desk. Was told he got sidetracked. No apology. Got to our room. It was really fine, quite spacious with comfortable beds. We were looking forward to hanging out on our advertisrd patio. It was full of weeds and dead leaves. Coffee in the room was like tea bags your poured hot water over. Different but okay. Went to the breakfast the next morning. Set up was a cluster. And the same food you get at Best Western without the waffles, hard boiled eggs. We did not return. Requested more coffee bags and never received them. A bit expensive for such things to hsppen

My wife and I love staying at the Cambria Pines Lodge. The rooms are great and spacious, with privacy fences. However, they are not cleaned during your stay, and fresh towels must be requested. The lodge states that this is done for both guest and staff safety, but there are plenty of other resorts and hotels that seem to have found a solution. Also, the included breakfast buffett is very basic.

Very clean rooms and quiet setting. Will definitely staying again in the near future!
