If you like Venezuelan gangs and mold,
This is the place for you. Migrants outside my room, feeding squirrels Doritos!
I could Smell the meth that was cooked
In my room. Peeling paint in the bathroom, black mold… Oh, and the plywood looking ceramic floors. Classy joint. My
Motel at the Jersey shore, circa 1997, was in Better shape. No joke. I booked by mistake. Didn’t look at rooms. lol. At least o have a sense of humour.

Overall we had fun at the Post Card Inn. The hotel has a lot of potential. It has a cute, retro vibe.
However, when we got there there was a huge bikini contest with hundreds of intoxicated, young people, partying on the property and on the beach front. People were stumbling around, getting sick, weed was wafting through the air, police were intervening in some situations. The music was LOUD club music that was loud in the rooms, but it was over at 9pm. Some of the PCI employees mentioned how much they hate dealing with the crowd, damage, trash, behavior, etc. We heard from locals that PCI is known as THE party spot on the beach. If that’s what you’re looking for PCI is your place on the weekends or holidays.
During the week it is very low-key and family friendly after the party has been cleaned up. The pool is big and amazing with umbrellas all around for shade and the chairs are comfy.
Daily housekeeping was very limited— forgetting coffee and towels. The front desk staff was polite and very responsive to issues.
It seems like the hotel should decide on their identity to best serve either population. We likely will not return as we got a list of other quaint, quirky similar hotels in the area without the drunken spring break-like features.

First floor room was unexceptionable, mold , unfinished and adjoined another room . We could hear all their conversation. The fitness room was disgusting.
Never again.

Our experience was amazing ! It was my husbands 40th birthday and I asked the manager if they could do something special and she delivered for sure ! We got early check in an upgraded room , free drink coupons and cabana with drinks and a cake that they even decorated with balloons . Steve at the front was super friendly and helpful and Summer our server at our pool cabana was absolutely amazing ! Even the maintenance guy was great ! We will be staying again soon!

I never leave reviews but I thought that this hotel deserved a positive review. We flew in right before a hurricane and lost 2 of our beach days but honestly we still had a great time. PSI isn’t a super new hotel but it was accommodating, fun, and clean. Great staff. Highly recommend the extra money for a pool side room because they are close to the beach.

We have stayed here twice and love the proximity to the beach… it’s not fancy but the service is good, everyone is friendly… the coffee in room this last time was so good … all the food we ordered was good… it’s close to a lot of good places you can walk to to eat .. will definitely stay here again

Never have I ever stayed in such conditions. Motel was absolutely filthy. Stayed one night and transferred to a different hotel. Hotels.com was amazing to work with although we should have been compensated the night we did stay. Black mold in bathroom. Conditions absolutely unacceptable.

Room was not as described online, very dated. The mattress on the queen bed had a hole. So we changed rooms, the bedding had blood stains that we asked to be change which they did but the replacements had the same stains. The paid breakfast, that I made sure via text service was paid for before arriving at the hotel, was actually just a $40 credit per day which was not enough for my husband and I and our two boys. The breakfast was over $80 for all 4 of us. The area where we ate food had an infestation of fruit flies so we didn’t eat at the hotel after the first day(so we are actually owed the rest of the breakfast credit). The hidden fees where a surprise at check in, I was ready to pay $150 but infact they wanted an extra $150 for accidental damage, which was explained we get back at check out. We did not use all our breakfast credit so I was hoping to get that back along with the $150 but we ordered some drinks and put them on the room so they automatically deducted from the $150. At check out I asked when I would receive my money back they wasn’t very clear and said there isn’t much too come back, and once all the charges go through then I will get what ever I money is left returned. With this last disappointing situation I will be writing an official complaint.

Upon arrival at the front desk the whole lobby smelled of sewage, two of the three “restaurants” are located in the lobby area. Areas around the pool and outdoor beach shack bar are in disrepair there were also so many people crowded around this area it was near to impossible to get any bar or food service. We had to leave the resort to eat because of this, the reason we booked this resort was the convenience of supposedly having these amenities of several dining choices and service at pool/ beach areas both of which we had none. The rooms were livable but the shower had mold and towel bar was broken on arrival. Unfortunately would not stay at this resort ever again.

I went to the Post Card in 5 years ago and it was nice for a little girls trip. Decided to go again and do another girls trip we had 3 rooms and I have to say they were old! But the bathrooms were the worst first of all not clean but in my bath tub it was squishy with water underneath it.
The lobby is pretty cute but man I don’t think they have cleaned the rugs since I was there 5 years ago! But the that tipped me over the edge was the gym! It was disgusting! We pay a $45 resort fee so you think it would be some what clean. Now it was awful equipment was all broken missing weights! Actually took pics because it was so bad. The front desk people were super nice and helpful!

Mattress was horrible basically had a indentation that was like sleeping in a hole. We asked for a different one they switched us to different room and had the same issue with that one too. Both rooms had noisy juveniles next to us.
We had to reset our Bracelets numerous times to open the parking lot gates, and they never did operate at the pool gates. The staff did take off (1) resort fee of the 3 Nites for a whopping $45. We will be staying elsewhere until the renovations an upgrades are complete.
On a positive, the Inside bar staff were pleasant and helpful.

We made reservations for one night July the 27th. We arrived art a little after 4pm and we had to wait 2 hours until 6pm to get our room. Once in the room the toilet was clogged they came to try to fix it but could only get it to drain really slow, so we could not use the toilet with out risk of overflowing. They could not move us to another room, because they were full. So, we had no choice but to stay and use the restrooms in the lobby or by the pool. Then the a/c unit was stuck on economy mode and only came on for three or four minutes at a time so we were sweating all night in bed. The next the the manager refused used to do anything for us other than refund out breakfast. Since we book thru Hotels.com he could not refund the room, but would not give us a voucher for a one night stay for a future date. We are very disappointed with Postcard Inn on the Beach. This was a one night stay and potentially could have been more future stays as we only live an hour away and visit St. Pete Beach often. Now we will never come back to Postcard Inn.

It’s a typical beach hotel.Good for a quick night away. Only thing is do not pick poolside room. Not worth the extra money. Plus we were at the end closest to the music and bar. The music was very loud. You could hear it in our room as if they were playing inside the room. However when we returned after dinner. The outside DJ was gone it was a lot quieter to go to sleep. The staff was very friendly.

Not returning to this hotel, I had no idea there was a loud dj all weekend until 8:30pm with a very young crowd.

What was great was outside... it's absolutely amazing.... what was terrible was the room, it was old.... very poorly air conditioned. They didn't fix it or offer another room, no coffee pot inside room and no blanket... have to call for both. They did have excellent service and staff and the breakfast was great.

This hotel is not worth the money. As soon as we arrived for our 4 night stay we cancelled the other 3 days. The room was dirty. The pocket door to the washroom was broken so wouldn't stay closed. The lighting was terrible and there was sand on the floor.

Overall - thought the place had a cool setup with potential to be great, but once you get past lobby area…
We tried to save money to go here instead of others nearby, but in hindsight would have paid double to enjoy my weekend at a better hotel.
Be aware -
Smoking is allowed in front of all rooms so you can’t even use the chairs in from of your room by pool. Smoking is allowed or not monitored in all common areas which was everywhere…ruins it for non-smokers who want some fresh air.
Food at beach bar was terrible and they were out of many items all weekend long. Coffee shop line took forever and didn’t have several basic items all weekend (vanilla syrup, etc).
Pool was WAY overcrowded because they have too many daily pool passes as well as do not check bracelets of people who are not staying there and get in with friends.
Your room comes with 2 beach chairs but no umbrella. Your chairs are ONLY allowed in the furthest spot from the ocean by the bar area. Treated like second class citizen…can’t even see the water from back there…You must buy umbrella or cabana to move up and cannot move their chairs or use your own umbrella with the chairs. CRAZY. WAY easier to just bring your own chairs and umbrella and walk off their property which is ridiculous to have to do when you paid ‘resort fees’ for the pool and beach chairs.
Rooms are old … I expected that for the money but kind of trashy, loud AC units.
Loud music all day and night. Love music but never stops….

There was lots of activities. Really a fun and active hotel! Rooms are really basic and old but had all we needed.

Beautiful courtyard and pool area with bar

Stayed here about a dozen years ago and had a great time. The hotel has gone way downhill since then. They nickel and dime you for everything and seem to cater more to people who come in for the day to party at the bar than they do guests of the hotel. We ended up leaving a night early because we were over it.

Room was spacious. Bed comfortable. Bathroom essentials lacking. Cleanliness was average.
Needs a full length mirror in the room.

My boyfriend and I loved this hotel! It was very cute and has a fun beachy/surfer aesthetic. It is an older place, but is very well maintained and was very clean! Right next to the beach and not crowded at all when we went. We really liked it a lot and would stay again!

The hotel is older but clean. Food and drink are so so. I encountered a problem the first day, my key/wrist band would not open my room. It worked at the pool and the night before. I had to haul all my beach stuff to the front desk and get another band. Got back to me room and it still didn't work. I asked the housekeeping lady to try, it didn't work for her either and she didn't speak English. She called someone and went back to work. I waited several minutes and a young man came and tried and it didn't work. He didn't speak English either, just shrugged his shoulders and left. I then called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man. The whole door handle has to be replaced. This whole process took an hour and I wasn't offered anything for my inconvenience.

Great pool and bar. Great staff, very fun property! Close to everything, and has so many amenities.

The location is great…close to restaurants and easy to navigate. Nice size pool. We visiting on a Saturday and it’s definitely a scene for a younger crowd..20’s. Very loud techno music was playing all afternoon in their bar and pool area which is not my vibe. Walked over to Jimmy B’s next door for a quieter lunch and live acoustic musician. Bed was very comfortable. Furniture and bathtub could use remodel and update. Peeling and worn. Service was easy and accommodating.

Information and accommodations need to be updated. Pictures/Images from the property-rooms must be updated on Expedia. LOTS of these images are not current/accurate. Rooms DO NOT look like the pictures on the site. They do not offer Umbrellas with the beach chairs (you have to RENT them) The beach access from the hotel is NOT private, you will have outsiders sharing the beach during your stay. They close the bar(s) @9-10pm latest. They do not serve food after 9pm. The TV from our room was broken (they were scheduled to “change it” the following AM however they kept us waiting for an hour with a NO SHOW. They wanted to change the TV at a later time, but we were out and about enjoying our mini vacay. Upon check-in, they gave us the wrong room and it took over an hour to finally settle in a room. Upon check-out, we requested to check out @12noon as opposed to 11am and they wanted to charge me $25 (for an additional hour)

With PCI being right on the beach and the salty air it really is a great place to stay. The cleanliness was great. Will be back!
6.0 / 10.0
PCI's popularity alone warrants a better experience. The rooms are run down and outdated. The restaurant evening manager is unnecessarily rude.

Bathroom sink did not drain. Front door had a huge gap in and you can see the sunlight come through.
6.0 / 10.0
The outside areas were beautiful! The room eh not so much. There was a huge crack in the ceiling andthe bathroom sink did not drain well. The beds were comfortable but the bedding had some stains on it looked like markers or old makeup. I’ve stayed in nicer hotels for cheaper total amounts. If you’re looking for a good beach side party, they definitely provide this type of atmosphere. There are no ice machines, no coffee makers, and no microwaves in the rooms as they want you to purchase from their restaurants on site. They do give guest small 1/2 bags of ice upon request. Overall it was a decent place if you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in and dont care about details. Location is great, beach is beautiful, pool was nice and staff was friendly.

Property room was older but kept clean. Nice pool and beach area. Staff helpful. Food was good.
6.0 / 10.0
Seems like you are putting too much energy into the bar and inviting a party crowd and not enough into the rooms and amenities. My pool view room lost its charm, dirty fake grass in front and dirty chairs, wall behind front desk needs to be painted, it is the first impression and it looks dirty and a mess. Miss the trees in the courtyard. Overall you lost the charm you had 5 years ago. This is now known as the party hotel, too loud at night and dirty.
