Nice, very friendly hotel
4.0
The property and rooms are beautiful, the only criticisms is that the air conditioning was useless. Given the outside temperature was only 26c or so, the rooms were roasting hot and the tiny a/c unit totally ineffective. Would not return unless this was improved. Also the swimming pool was freezing despite being told that it was heated.

Had an absolutely amazing time at the hotel. Staff were kind and friendly, rooms were very clean and modern, and breakfast was great! Definitely my top choice the next time I visit Stuttgart!

Absolutely beautiful property, we came quite late but felt comfortable in the room and woke up to discover the wonderful lake and took a morning walk to see the wildlife and nature in the compound. A very clean hotel very luxurious rooms and just a very relaxing and low key feel.

A nice hotel with a good location if you are there to visit the castles. Good breakfast and service. But I would not recomend to stay there in summertime as there is no A/C and only 1 electric fan in the room. We did maximum get 2 hours sleep

Great place - in summer castle grounds - modern, good bar/restaurant - only 30 mins to Daimler in the morning ! You need a car though.

The room was spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The hotel is set in beautiful palace grounds - great for walks around the lake.

Modern and clean decor is nice. Could do with a few colorful pictures on the bedroom walls. The spa area would be even better if it had a jacuzzi (and swimming pool!)

Lovely modern design, very fresh and very clean.
Stylish, cool and professional receptionist, loved him.
My 2 problems were the following:
Difficult to find the main entrance late at night, the
taxi driver was struggling for 20+min, but then German taxi drivers rfuse to use google maps.
Gym and spa is advertised as 24hr... but it was
closed because of „noise” concerns...
Highly annoying as you pay and travel more to
use the spa late.... just to find it closed.

Very nice family room, good bar food, great breakfast. Be aware that the lake area has many mosquitoes so use insect repellent!

Anita at the front desk was very helpful.
Breakfast was also served to me in the room as requested and Ingrid was very professional.

Very enjoyable stay, with only two small negatives. There was no coffee maker in the room ( for such a nice place all the rooms should be equipped, not just what they called deluxe rooms). Also the split beds common in many German hotels are not comfortable for two adults that want to be in the same bed.

Wonderful Hotel, great location and amenities. Highly recommended for all

Comfortable, modern rooms with all the amenities. A definite step up from the local business hotels. It's located some distance from the center of Ludwigsburg, which means you need a car to visit the downtown area, but unlike the downtown hotels it is quiet and parking is convenient. The hotel is on the park grounds, adjacent to the castle and near the equestrian center. The setting is beautiful and the castle is impressive. The hotel breakfast buffet is excellent, and there is a good restaurant next to the hotel. But, you need a car to get to town for shopping and other services.

if you happen to go to ludwigsburg or surroundings, this is as good as it gets. the hotel is near an old and well maintained castle (and domaine) in a park like surrounding. very quiet and beautiful surroundings - great for running. the hotel itself looks like a 1960s style (not too exciting) squarish building, however, is in very good shape. rooms are very quiet and comfortable and have everything one could be looking for - not too big and too luxerious though. the hotel is extremely well run and bar, breakfast lounge, and restaurant (in historic domaine - next door) are excellent. so is the food.

We stayed at the Schlosshotel Monrepos over New Year (for 5 nights) and were satisfied overall with most aspects of the hotel. Set in a country estate there are ample opportunities for walking from the hotel, particularly towards Ludwigsburg through the deer park. Rooms were perfectly OK (we stayed in a standard) without being over-luxurious. Service was fine although we were asked to move our room on New Year's Eve, after being there for 4 days already, because the hotel had overbooked and needed the double room we were in. Needless to say we refused and the request was dropped! We only took breakfast as a meal and in this we were rather disappointed. Very few guests were having breakfast yet hot food, such as eggs, looked like it had been under the heat for a long time and was dried up. However, we would not hesitate to stay again provided we could get the same sort of deal.
1.0
Impressive looking hotel with friendly staff and nice grounds, however very remote. Let down somewhat by small single room that felt cramped and slightly dated. Set in expansive grounds, I would happily spend a couple of days holiday here (providing the double rooms were better than the singles). But if you are a business traveller based in Stuttgart save your taxi fare and use the money to take a hotel in the center of town - false economy to travel this far out.
2.5
Marvelous hotel that meets its top ratings. Great for leisure or business stay. Wonderful atmosphere for families with any age travelers, singles or couples. Semi-country syle atmosphere with flat hiking and walking trails, a superb indoor pool, golf and fine dining.
