Hotel and staff were excellent, my husband was unwell so we left early which was out choice.
Your receptionist on Sunday morning was very helpful when we checked out and asked if there was anything she could do for my husband which was very nice of her, but he just wanted to get home as he was feeling poorly

Pros -
- Lovely looking hotel, cosy and comfortable
- Great location, parks around, Montpellier street and access to the Promenade with shops, food, main Cheltenham spots easy to reach by walking
- All staff were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating even when things went wrong - good service - moved me to a more comfortable room on arrival - came to help when TV wasn’t working etc. - kindly apologetic when my room phone wasn’t working
- Gluten free food options in dining - enjoyed breakfast and dinner
- Lovely looking comfortable restaurant and cosy bar
Cons -
- Needed water at night and phone would not connect to reception or room service - had to walk down myself to get a bottle
- Only Freeview - no Smart TV / Streaming
- Would have liked more food options for vegetarian and gluten free (only 1 main, starter and dessert currently) - perhaps more varieties of bread / pastries - although that said atleast the basics are there (which is still not the case in many hotels!) - 1 bread and 1 cereal
No
- Room service appeared to have an additional £7.50 charge per tray which I’ve never seen before and put me off ordering anything to my room
- Would have loved to see a spa / gym

Very comfortable and pleasant hotel. Room was well appointed with very comfortable bed and small but good bathroom. Breakfast choice was excellent although some corners cut re quality of ingredients I'd say.

The Carpet in our room was not fitted correctly im a carpet fitter myself and with carpet not tucked in on the edge and up the skirting a hole in the floorboards so has you walk about you sink into the floor the carpet needs coming up floor repaired and then re fitted its not a big job about half a days work could sort this also it say City view all we had was a view of 3 tree tops chairs dirty stains on and a stain on the quilt cover for a room thats £200 a night without breakfast we would expect more Fiona on the front desk was amazing and really helpful and informative its a shame as this was a birthday treat for my wife and if it wasn’t for the fact that we had already made plans in town i would have asked for a different room or refund

In a very convenient location. Really enjoyed the food. All staff were professional and attentive. A special ‘thank you’ to Kyra who arranged the return of my husband’s sun hat which he accidentally left behind in our room. We would stay at this hotel again but would upgrade our room as the one we had was located by the air conditioning units, so a little noisy and not a pleasant view from the window.

Third time staying at this hotel and will be booking again. This is one of my favourite hotels, the service is wonderful, the hotel is beautiful, I really cannot fault it and I cannot wait for my next visit.

Loved the history and the small details. The Pugin hall is spectacular.

Nice hotel and room. Outside noise was very loud. The charge for a dog was the most we’ve ever paid which was disappointing.

We were very disappointed with our room which looked onto a courtyard of the internal roof of what can only be described as the back of the kitchen. This proved to be a noisy experience as there were the sounds of generators and fans all evening. We were only there one night and the staff were apparently “unable” to move us to a different room. Given the fact that we were not stopping long we just felt there was a lack of interest in attempting to offer us with a nice experience. There was a friendly female member of staff who checked us in but I have my suspicions that she was over ruled when attempting to move us to a different room. Such a shame.

We were on the front . With the windows open at night it was a little noisy.

We had a lovely time at Queens Hotel. Reception staff were very welcoming. Breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. Location of hotel was perfect. Room was clean and lovely. Kettle in the room was broken so we couldn’t have a hot drink which was disappointing. Only other negative was having to pay for parking. I’ve never had to pay for parking in a high-quality hotel before and it was a shame.

The windows are not double glazed, and the room was quite noisy at night due to nearby bars and traffic. Otherwise, it is a historic building in a central location, and the room was spacious and clean.

I was looking forward to staying at The Queens but on arrival discovered that there was no outside area. The patio area was closed due to re-furbishment. The middle of summer seems an odd time to do that. There was no mention of this on their website. I told a few members of staff of my disappointment but got no reaction. I wouldn't have stayed there if I'd known.

A beautiful hotel in the best part of . Cheltenham. I was disappointed that the outside space was unusable- work in progress. I felt that the car park should have been free for residents. The evening dining options were limited. Otherwise a good choice.

Beautiful and traditional hotel, weekend stay booked and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Great breakfast, lovely room, attentive service and location perfect for exploring Cheltenham whether you want shops or historic walks, superb selection of dining options within 10 minutes

Very comfortable and all fittings/ facilities modern and in full working order.

The hotel exterior gorgeous. The interior old and worn _ the furniture should go to a charity shop. Toiletries poor. Carpet old and worn. View from window was of scaffolding and walls. Duvet cover too large for duvet. Heating questionable. Not 4 star worthy. Receptionist excellent!

Our stay at Queens was excellent. The room wasn’t particulatly big, but it was very cosy and we had pretty much everything we needed inside.
The area was also quite nice, with a lot of nice restaurants.
As for the breakfast, we chose to have it at the property. £20 gets you a a full english plus a continental buffet, with all food being very nice.
Overall a very nice stay, and an excellent location if planning a Costwolds trip.
