In principle the room was OK although the heaters were poor and you needed to take blankets off the other bed to keep warm
although it was close to were I wanted to be

I stayed at the Waterford Travelodge for one night (thankfully!). I’m staying for business so proximity to where I’m working tomorrow was the deciding factor here. I know people might say ‘what do you expect, it’s a travel lodge…’ and ‘you’re not paying much’ …well, my expectations were low before I arrived…I hear you! Sure the bathroom could be cleaner for example - there are stains up the wall that just need wiping away (standards?)
However, I do believe that despite being a budget hotel, being able to suitably heat the room through the night of your stay is a basic requirement. I walked into the room not expecting much but it did feel cold as I walked in…so I turned on the rad (of course it was off, it’s a travelodge)… however, the radiator is limited to 2hours max at a time and only to (a supposed) 21degrees (it doesn’t feel like 21 in here!) so I sat with a hot drink and my nose was cold. I mean… c’mon Travelodge, this is crazy! Needless to say, they will not be getting any repeat business! Had I arrived this afternoon and discovered this, I would not be staying. #ridiculous

Building is dated and had a strong odor. The ceiling in our bathroom showed black colored mold, and the curtains had visible stains.

Liked that at was walkable to downtown. Comfy beds.
Took along time to get cold water.
Good supply of instant coffee/ tea.
Shake Dog, restaurant chain, location was awesome. Great deals!
Missing a do not disturb sign.
Only one chair for Two people, suggestion would be side table with chair...can always move the desk chair over to the table.

Room was hot and only one window had a working open latch, and how much it could open was limited. Also lots of outside noise and smokers, so sleeping was challenging. Will not stay here again

The guy who checked us in - we arrived quite late about 9.30 was best thing about it and comfy bed apart from that terrible. Needs a lot of tlc. Air fresheners etc so fusty. By sons said it was like a nursing home . We’ve been to loads of t lodges snd done better then 4 star hotels this very poor

The most grim Travelodge I’ve ever stayed in. We were booked in for 3 nights but checked out after the first night. When we arrived there were old carpets all over the car park. The hotel is obviously being used as a social housing centre. I think this should be communicated to holiday makers. The rooms are sparse. Not even a hairdryer . For €133 per night room only, it’s hardly budget hotel prices. Would not recommend.

We had contacted the hotel before arriving & requested an easily accessible room as we are both disabled. The room assigned was a fair distance from the entrance which was not suitable but the staff were brilliant & went out of their way to help.
It was very unfortunate that the hotel was full of immigrants that my husband & I found very intimidating.
If this is a policy of Travel Lodge then it would be only fair to inform customers.
The whole trip was ruined even though the manager & staff were as helpful as they could be.

A light outside the window came on and off regularly and the hours for the breakfast weren't early enough for our plans.

Look it’s a travel lodge and so whilst you expect it to be basic you also expect it to be clean. The floors had not been hoovered since the previous quest and were there dirty. It then makes you question what else hadn’t been cleaned.

Room was adequate, very clean as was the bathroom, not too many healthier options food wise,a lot of fast food restaurants

This was a good value - a clean, comfortable room not too far from the historic part of Waterford.

Roasting warm room, very uncomfortable hard bed and only one pillow. Sink was blocked, stains on carpet and bird droppings all over the windows. Not overally safe either aa anyone can walk into the hotel without being checked. A place to lay your head and thats about that really. Charging 135 euro a night and providing mcdonalds surgar for your tea topped off the stay.

I had booked a family room for £150 , when I got to the room, it was not adequate for my family to stay in. Very very small. Basically it was a just an ordinary room with extra camp beds put in and called a “family room”.it was falsely advertised as a family room. We cancelled straight away and was told I would be refunded my money, we found the staff helpful.

Was fine for a night. Expensive for what it was but still the cheapest in the area.

Basic accommodation. One hallway stank, thankfully not the one we were in. The rooms are spacious and clean enough but the beds are hard.
