Narrow winding stairs, maybe 120?? More?? Thru several narrow doors. Beds in extremely poor, broken down condition. Only heat in the room was a small, ineffective (but working) electric space heater.

Lovely room, really well situated property and easy to find. Very comfortable stay!

Barry House was exactly what I needed when my train home was cancelled and I was stuck in London overnight. Although it’s certainly not luxury, it is affordable, convenient and comfortable. I slept well in the bed and have no complaints for a basic nights stay.
1.5
Bathrooms are shared and water pressure is very low.

There is a parking problem

Very basic. Very less value for money.

Great location - close to Paddington station - Rooms very clean - had a family room on top floor was very hot inside and bathroom small- however we didn't visit to stay in room - beds very comfy - for the price paid - recommend
4.0
Very comfortable, although the stairs were rather steep going up to the third floor. The staff delivered and collected the luggage to and from th e room.
2.5
Nice accomodation close to Paddington station (3 minutes walk). Small room. Helpful staff.
2.5
Honestly for the price we paid it was more than we would have bargained for. The room and bathroom was clean and while we were out, housekeeping was done to replace all the used items and to clean the room. We paid £60 a night for a double with private bathroom, got upgraded to larger quadruple room.

Great hotel in a very nice part of London. Staff were very friendly and accommodating including cleaning staff who were very helpful. Great value for money. Stayed twice for a few nights twice in a 3 week period. I was more than happy to go bk the 2nd time.

location good, rooms only. well serviced.

Easy to get to only a short walk from Paddington, nice and safe and had everything you need for a short stay in Hyde park
3.0
It was a very small family room and VERY hot. And the lack of lift made it hard to get down there with suitcases.
However, the staff were very kind and let us store our bags before we could check in (early flight in), and helped us find things to do. It’s also a five minute walk to Paddington station!

Room was excellent value - clean and functional and very convenient for Paddington Station. Fan in the room was welcome. Perfect for a 1-night stay

Very nice and comfortable room with small but nice bathroom. Large bed, desk, keetle and tv in the room were nice. Liked the view on the street. It wasn't an issue for me but it could get a little noisy from the street or other rooms. Great location, close to train station and underground, buses, Hyde Park and Kensigton Gardens within walking distance, a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby. Kind and helpful staff. Overall room and bathroom were clean, bed linen was fresh and clean but I had some doubt whether bed spread (which was a thick blanket) and decorative cushions were washed before I arrived as they smelled a little...

Great location and friendly staff but room was let down by minor maintenance issues. Loose taps, toilet roll holders and dirty cabinets. Trying to get a heavy luggage up four flights of very small stairs was no fun at all. It's in a great location though and price was decent (for London)

A 3 star accommodation facility, Staff very friendly and accommodating, 5 star service.
Beds in the 1st room (22) were very comfortable, 2nd room (25) were very poor. Small but clean bathrooms in both rooms. An unfortunate bug issue that was promptly professionally dealt with and sorted. The biggest CON, Expedia advertises this property as breakfast included which is false.

Friendly staff and clean rooms

The room for the price was pretty good. Clean and small , the bathroom though was upstairs and the toilet was very very small and cramped as was the shower which bordered on claustrophobic.
The bedding was nice and clean. One tea bag and one sachet of coffee was pretty poor really.
I was on 3rd floor and it was pretty steep and narrow the toilet/shower on the fourth.
Unfortunately during my stay there was work on the neighbours roof and the noisy work started very early. This was just bad luck I suppose.
However, during the night between 01:00/03:00am there was quite a lot of noise from the rooms overhead.
There was no staff on duty to address the situation.
All in all, it wasn’t too bad. Very basic but the location was convenient.

Best place to stay on a budget.
Small rooms, no food in the hotel, shared bathrooms make it a bit inconvenient, but if you can stay at one third the price of other hotels in the vicinity, have walkable access to Paddington which gives you public transport connectivity across London and you are on a short stay, you should take it!

Its very neat, comfortable and also great location

Narrow stairs, very hard to carry suitcase.

I stay here quite regularly and have always been impressed by the courteousness of the staff, the cleanliness and overall feel of the hotel.

Excellent service and excellent place

Solo traveller for one night.
I knew about the shared facilities and top floor room from checking online.
Friendly greeting on arrival, staff professional and courteous.
Room was clean with plenty of plugs and USB ports for charging.

very bad and terrible
2.5
A very good budget hotel, in a pleasant part of London. Friendly and helpful person at check-in, and a quiet room at the very top of the house - so wouldn't be suitable for elderly or disabled people. Room was quite cramped but perfectly adequate. Overall, excellent value.
4.0
Extremely friendly staff, very helpful with check-in and if I needed anything.
The hotel itself is not quiet, it is in an older building. Don't let this deter you if you're looking for a cheaper place to stay. As a traveler I am rarely in my hotel, and it only becomes impactful if others are staying up late. Most people understand a knock on the wall means someone is trying to sleep.
Would stay again.

Exactly what I needed for the price. Was in a single on the top floor with shared bathroom and shower. The room was impeccably clean, no issue with that at all. Kettle & television worked. 2 blocks from Paddington station. Will stay again if I ever just need the cheapest possible place to sleep in London for the night.

It was nicely quiet in the top floor rooms.

When we first arrived we were given a room right at the front. This was right next to the front door so we didn't get any sleep with the buzzer going off through the night and the door continuously being slammed...at 4.20 am this was still going on.
We asked to be moved and were given a room in the basement, it had a terrible damp smell and the condition was very poor .
On a good note the beds were comfortable even though the bedding was ripped.

Booked for 3 Nights
Bad Points
- We were woken up after day 1 by a cleaner, then a manager who told us to change rooms. - no explanation and gave us 30 mins to do it.
- Rooms were dirty, layers of dust around the bed and the windows were filthy!
- Missing tea & coffee in both rooms but had the kettle.
- Parts of the Celing were lose in the second room?
- Not many plug outputs in either room
- Constant banging from both upstairs & downstairs.
Good
It was cheap
Front door Entry Key card was good for 24/7 access
Things to note
Large amount of stairs that would make access very difficult if you struggle with access issues.
There are better options available for the money

Turned we had clean kitchen sink at first as was still dirty the shower had mould and damp on sealing and at night you can hear doors slamming very often not very well placed room next to reception and door
The beds were ok but not the comfiest does the job the staff were nice enough though probably get a new remote rather than putting tape on back
Dont think we will be staying again
