I just wanted to get away to a peaceful place & rest. This hotel was exactly what I dreamed of. Beautiful location. The staff members were friendly and helpful. They are very pet friendly even providing your pet with their own bowls and menus! I had an Ocean View Suite. Fireplace, comfy bed, room service, delicious food, yoga, jacuzzi and the room was cleaned daily which was nice. I will definitely come back for more!

Such a tranquil well appointed hotel with fantastic views of the sunset over the water. We loved that they lit up several fire pits at Sunset every night. Such a treat! We definitely plan to return.

It is a lovely hotel for a weekend getaway with your dog.
The room and the service were excellent. Onsite Restaurant is delicious. Free bonfires on the beach every night, walkable to the beach with many happy dogs!
The only negative thing is that the walls are thin, and if you are on the bottom floor, you'll hear everything above you, especially the happy paws in the early morning hours.

This is my go to place when traveling in the area. They have just recently done some renovations and absolutely love what they’ve done. Very clean, comfortable and dog friendly. Wonderful ocean view with beach, bonfires and chairs to enjoy sunsets. The restaurant there Saltwood is great too.

I enjoyed my stay at the recently renovated Sanctuary Beach Resort! This was my fifth visit to this lovely facility. The staff kindly welcomed me, and they even had my room ready earlier than the scheduled checking in time. I got an upgrade too! The room fixtures, furnishing, and bathroom updates were much needed and it is great to see the investment being poured into the property.
The nightly bonfires are amazing! For a good dinner, you should visit Salt Wood or order room service.
Robert was also a great guy. He was so welcoming and send me home feeling happy about my overall stay. I will surely be returning!

Perfect for time away from the city - catch up on sleep and finish that book! And all while listening to the sounds of the waves. We spent three lovely nights in an ocean view suite. The bed was so comfortable that we’re trying to purchase one for home! The staff was great and even made our cat feel welcome.

I proposed on the beach at sunset with a private bonfire experience. The entire staff including the manager, front desk, servers, host and bellmen made our whole experience magical. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Beautiful place, we were upgraded to ocean front so we had the best view, room was super clean and it looked newly renovated, would be nice to have a place to serve breakfast though they have amazing in room service, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back soon

The property itself is beautiful, with gorgeous views of the beach, the rooms have been recently updated and are modern and fresh.
The outer portion of the hotel and surrounding buildings could use more of an update, the brown and green paint make it look old and dreary, pool was mediocre for a 4 star hotel, the pool furniture was old and dirty.
The food was delicious, we ordered breakfast to the room and it was great. Presentation in the room was delightful, everything came securely in an adorable picnic basket.
In all we enjoyed our stay but the weather ruined our trip as we wanted to enjoy the beach with our young children, weather was cold, cloudy and windy, I recommend checking the weather in advance before booking or you’ll be sadly disappointed like me. Staff stated that the cold, cloudy, weather was normal this time of year for the area, I wish I would have done more research as the beach is a HUGE reason I booked a stay at the resort on the beach, sigh.

It's our new "go to" place. Facilities are amazing. Pool, the restaurant, the elevated beach front area to watch the waves. The view is amazing. The room is perfect. It has the beach house feel. The bed is very comfortable, and the sheets and pillows are very soft. The bathroom is clean and the whole suite is very well designed. I love the balcony overlooking the ocean. The service is great- they are all very nice and service oriented. Wished we had more time to stay longer. We will be back for sure! A perfect place to relax!

This resort has been on my list for a long time after following their IG account. I booked my entire road trip around a 2 night stay at this hotel. Bonus points as they were pet friendly. We booked an ocean front king with a patio. First, the room was perfect! The fenced in patio with 2 Adirondack chairs facing the ocean was magical. Our pups names on the dog bowls and treats was a nice touch. We had a nice dinner at Salt Wood. However, for the price I was extremely disappointed that we weren’t given any notice of the o going construction occurring on property. I appreciate they are making improvement tan but walking through the “resort” Among all the workers felt like a construction site, not a beach getaway yellow caution tape, paint cans, vehicles, landscapers, noise, was rediculous. We paid a hefty price to bring our 2 dogs and the pet relief area was closed die to construction according to a staff member and the area we were shown to use was a dirt field full of stickers/burrs. The only grass on property belonged to the time share units that share the property but posted signage everywhere indicated not to enter with a pet. Another bummer was that our room was directly behind the hotel’s beach sitting area where guests can sot in chairs around Fire pits for sunset. However, guests sit on the beach all day smoking away. Be prepared to wake up and see guests in their bathrobes, chatting loudly on their phones while dragging on their smokes. So disappointing!

This place is amazing, and our only regret was we weren't able to stay longer! It is right on the beach, with amazing views. The hotel really allows you to take advantage of the location, whether it's watching the sun set, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, or enjoying the comfortable chairs and fire pits right on the beach. The restaurant was great. We enjoyed wonderful service. The entire experience was a perfect start to what was our honeymoon. We'll be back!

The beach is gorgeous. But this isn't the upscale resort that it is marketed as. The facilities are old and rundown. The "suites" are pretty small, and the amenities are not all that.
