This is not a four star property and although it has some facilities, they are not four start standard.
It's functional and tidy but having stayed in quite a few hotels, this is not really a four star venue.

Room , staff, food could not be faulted
1.0
Hotel was outdated, rooms were terrible, service at the bar and restaurant were extremely slow, the rooms were so shabby and old
4.0
staff very welcoming and polite. Food very well presented. Room had ordinary double bed, but that was my own fault for not ordering room with king size. Nice spa, pool facilities.

We have been here several times in the past, due to location, the rooms are clean but basic.
The mattress was showing signs of weakness (soft and could feel the springs)
Food in the bar was very good

Carpet were filthy bed and Furniture in the room is so outdated. How does summer duvet on which meant I had to wear a jumper in bed to stay warm.

Nice hotel.
Staff all friendly and helpful.
Food good. Dining & public spaces all good; some 'interesting' wall art.
My bedroom was a good size but the furniture tired, and it felt a bit dated; the bathroom however, was great.
The corridoors in the part of the hotel I stayed in had plastic covering over them; not sure why.
I can't comment on the pool/spa facilities, as annoyingly I forgot to bring my swimware with me 🙄
Would stay again.
Ps: This may be a bit random, but I loved the floor tiles in the reception area!!

Amazing stay leisure facilities were great, daughter had me up early for a swim before breakfast, would stay again.

Nice hotel with very pleasant staff. Some internal building work being carried out so some dust about. Roof of pool needs a little attention. Massive bed in spacious room. Decent quality breakfast. Will definitely revisit.

The staff were excellent. Room was spacious. Property was nice. Sauna, pool, changing area clean and nice. Loved everything and will stay again though i was really disappointed with the hot breakfast and would like to see it cooked fresh if possible. Good choice of cereal and juice.

We arrived at 11.45 as we were going to a wedding and were told we couldn't check in yet, but in fact we were able to complrte our form and leave our bag with reception, which they said they would take up to the room once it was ready. We were also given our key, The room, when we got there st 11.30pm was a little tired and shabby, but had everything we required for our one night there.

This hotel is outdated and needs a refurb

Not clean, lots of spiders in the rooms, lacks enough staff, spa pool was dirty… tiles were green with algy and sauna was not working… possible health hazard

Lovely room Lovely location and great gym and pool.

Very dated and poorly presented hotel. Needs someone to go round and clean the doors and finer points. Door into kitchen filthy. Polite and efficient check in and lovely manager but the rest of the staff seemed vague and lacked training. No idea what a soda and lime was. Room roasting on a hot night. Had to have window open which meant we heard all the traffic outside.Had to have fan running all night. Food not fantastic and over priced. At breakfast, a female shouted ' apparently the bride wants fresh fruit..have we got any?'..not very professional. A gardener, painter and cleaner could definitely improve what might have been a nice place to stay. Pillow A bit smelly .A positive..very well stocked room with nice, branded coffee, tea and biscuits.

Staff great. And best breakfast ever.
Just one small let down the evening meal a bit small and limited choice but it won't stop me from going again.

Decor was very tired and there needs to be better access. More disabled spaces should be closer to the entrance. Breakfast was very nice.

Pamela on reception is very helpful and accommodating, parking is easy and secure.

Rooms at the front can be quite noisy with road traffic when its warm and you needvto open windows as no air con. Gym and spa are spacious and usesble. Breakfast is substantial and good food in the bar.
Excellent location to walk or ride to explore clumver parklands.

Good location

Room was clean but in need of a revamp. Carpet in hall was riding up and in need of replacing.
Inside the room, it was comfortable enough, but furniture was very old and rickety and just needs updating. Small areas where paint is peeling or damaged.
Overall, for the price, it’s hard to complain, but a major refurb is required for this to be a 4* hotel which is advertised.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The room could be spruced up a bit, but I have no complaints. The hotel location was good however the mobile telephone signal in the area is very poor.

We enjoyed our stay on St Georges day very much, a nice welcome , clean comfortable room and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant that evening. Thank you.

To start with we was staying for my bestfriends wedding her room had been upgraded for the wedding not really sure what got upgraded there was dust all over the brochures on the side in both rooms 17 & 23 I stayed in. The cleanliness for £112 a night was not up to standard , the breakfast service was chaos! Cold food then waiting ages for new fresh food.

The welcome at reception was very nice, because we were on an overnight stop, we just want a sleepover.
The room very basic, and bathroom left a lot to be desired, just enough toilet roll for 2 visits!!
Towel rail hanging off the wall, an over bath shower that just wet the whole floor.
4 star facilities definitely not, would I return definitely not and I would not recommend.
We didn’t bother with breakfast just got in the car and carried on with our trip,

Felt the property was old and needed updating. Carpets ill fitting and bubbles in room… skirting boards dusty. Just generally a bit of tlc needed

Read lots of complaints No this isn’t 5 star but definitely worth the money
Clean tidy off scuff as a busy hotel
Bed very comfortable the alarm actually woke me up first time in a long time as I’m a light sleeper
We had BBEM package and worth the money
Beautiful location
Staff attentive

A bit disappointing when we arrived and found the “kingsize” bed was 2 singles pushed together and the mattresses were different (one hard, one soft) and there was no fridge in the room when it was advertised with one. The receptionist was great though and gave us a different room (still 2 single beds but the mattresses matched) and she physically carried a fridge from another room to ours.
The rest of the stay was spot on. Quiet, relaxing, good food and all the staff were amazing. Thank you for a great weekend

Possibly the worse nights sleep ive ever had in a hotel.
The hotel seems like a nice place, clean, staff are friendly everything on the surface looks great.
Come sleep time: Room no:24 the bed was horrid, very very hard, ive had better nights sleep on floors than that bed- I dont know if all rooms are like that. But 24 wont be your lucky number if you stay in this room.
I woke up like a bear with a saw head, not rested- very upset. Not what i wanted at all.

The stay was okay, just needed a place to stay whilst we visited a local wedding venue for an evening out.
The hotel was very tired and definitely needs a lot of work. The reception is done nicely but as soon as you go towards the rooms the carpet is old and the paint on the walls is peeling.
Our first room had a broken window, letting lots of cold air in. They were good and quick getting us a new room.
The second room was better but clearly cleaned by someone different - this one had bottles of water where the last one didn't for example.
The radiator wouldn't turn off so the room got very hot in the night even with an open window.
The bed was very hard with old flat pillows.
Shower had good water pressure though and toiletries are left for you.

Fantastic hotel just wished the gym would open a little bit earlier

I imagine this was a very well kept hotel in the 1980's however its in need of a complete refurb. They seem to have advertised themselves as 4 star which again in the 80's or 90's maybe it was. There is nothing terrible here so long as your prepared for an average out of date hotel. I think I would have been less annoyed if they had not decided to charge 4 star food prices for 2 star food. Overall disappointed and not as advertised !
