Very nice hotel in a quiet area. The garden is perfect for relax, or just reading a book.

Parking is 26 euro a day during workingdays in the street. There is no Aircondition.
Friendly Staff, decent breakfast and very very cozy garden. Good location.
Would come again without car and in cold weather.

Good location, friendly service and excellent breakfast buffet. Coming back!

Hotel Carolinenhof falls into that camp of being ‘fine’, there being nothing inherently wrong with it but nothing absolutely right either. The staff are friendly, the rooms are large and spotlessly clean but they’re also bare and completely lacking in any kind of soft furnishings, design or tactile finishes designed to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast is mainly continental, some pre-prepped eggs but primarily breads, hams, cheeses, spreads, fruits and cereals, with homemade items too, including cakes, so that was fine. Only basic coffee and team unless you wish to pay extra. All in all, if you manage to book at a good price, it’s a decent place to overnight. If you prefer the ‘hotel’ experience, then Premier Inn is similarly priced, similarly located and a whole lot more 2024.

Comfortable hotel in a quiet area of Berlin, great to walk around the area and close to the metro.

The real star of this nice, cosy 3* hotel in West Berlin is its reception staff - possibly the best I have ever encountered in any hotel in Germany!
Buffet breakfast is also very good and is usually included in the room rate, making already excellent value for money even better.
My room was spacious if a bit outdated. Single bed was big enough and comfortable. Bathroom design is very weird - radiator is positioned just next to toilet seat, making the use of toilet uncomfortable - never saw anything similar.
Location of the hotel is fine, 5 min walk from metro (U Bahn) station and less than half an hour walk to KaDeWe department store, but surrounding area is a bit dull.
Overall it was a very pleasant stay and great value for money!

Well connected in Berlin. Comfortable hotel to stay for few nights.

Hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Rooms clean. Parking was terrible. No dedicated parking. Customers are expected to find street parking.

Beautiful garden side room. Spacious.

Very well kept hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of options at breakfast. Close to public transport.

One of the best hotel breakfasts I had in a decade! Very very nice hotel - Internet did not work well but they were very supportive to make up for it and it should be fixed by now. I can highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast options were excellent and the lady there was very efficient. The room was a good size and very well equipped. You're a bit outside the main centre of Berlin but the U and S travel options make it pretty easy getting around.

Excellent breakfast; very good staff; clean

Liked the property. Set in a residential area. Walking distance from a few shops. Staff is super patient and friendly. The continental breakfast was superbe. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a pretty clean basic hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was just fine. Located in a quiet area, although the nearby construction site slightly disturbed the street side rooms.
1.5
Not a very exciting location with few amenities and slow internet.

Lovely garden, good breakfast, very friendly staff especially the lady at breakfast. Rooms good size but a bit dated, bathroom a little tired. Nice, quiet neighbourhood with good restaurants within a few minutes

Very nice stay. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff. Only concern is WiFi was weak and disconnected periodically.

Although the room is not new, the size was big and the room was clean and you have everything you need in a room including kettle. The whole staff was just great. The location is not central but you will have an easy access to two different u-bahn lines so it makes it easy to reach the central. Finally the breakfast was good enough. Especially their homemade granola was perfect. Overall it is a good budget hotel.

Staff was very friendly, beautiful safe area. However no temperature control in room, bad WiFi connection, there was a smell coming from one side of the bed and we were charged for the sauna when we were under the impression it was included in amenities.

Not so friendly

Good location between 2 Ubahn stations. Quiet street. My room faced the street but I’d recommend a room facing the garden.

Simple, clean, very helpful staff, good all round value

Very friendly staff, the garden in the back was set up to be a great spot to relax. I loved having the multilingual new testament and daily scripture readings in my night stand.

Room is OK, and hotel is extremely well located, near the center and in a quiet place.
The subway is 5 minutes walk.
Detail : the room doesn't have air conditioner, and the curtains in the morning don't work very well, the sun rays pass thru and you have to get up.
Breakfast is medium, nothing special.

Internet not working most if the time and staff refused to print bill during check out

very clean, however it is quite a long walk from the Zoo station and there literally no shops around. The hotel is on a very quiet, but beautiful, street.

Front desk worker was rude and not cooperative at all. Couldn’t reach him a little later for questions about the room.

I love Berlin and I have good friends living near this hotel. It is very well located and this helped me a lot.

Wifi strength was a bit slow but otherwise great location (3 minute walk to closest metro), spacious room, access to a sauna (for a fee) and small gym.

overall a nice hotel.
***Do not book this hotel if you have more then 2 people in your party***
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 4yo daughter. Even though we had a reservation for 3 people, their rooms only have 2 single beds. I complained at the reception and was told to put the 2 beds together and my daughter to sleep in the middle, but with the type of beds they have there is still a hole in between the beds when put next to each other. I complained at the reception again and was told that if I wanted to have a third bed in the room i would have to pay an extra 31.50EUR per night, regardless of me having a reservation for 3 people.
So save yourself from this headache and do not book this hotel if traveling with more than 2 people.

We chose this hotel because of its price and the fact that it had generally very good reviews from Expedia reviewers. I thought the hotel was only ok, and I would not stay there next time I'm in Berlin, even despite the good rate. On the positive side, the staff, especially the manager, were friendly and helpful. We had a change to our booking, and the manager was very accommodating and allowed us to make the requested change without charging us more, even though she was within her rights to do so. The morning receptionist and the cleaning and restaurant staff were also great -- helpful and friendly. But, the afternoon / evening receptionist who checked us in was not especially friendly, and only as helpful as she needed to be. I was very disappointed with the room. The hallway leading to the room was dark and dingy, and had a musty smell. The room itself was large and clean, but the bed was really soft and uncomfortable, as was the pillow, and the room was warm to hot. Opening the window didn't help, and resulted only in us hearing a fair amount of street noise. The hotel is within walking distance of Kurfurstendamm, but is not within walking distance of any of the other major attractions.
