I liked this hotel, staff were helpful, location is good, close to many restaurants, the airport and grants good access to Genoa. However, what is apparent after closer inspection is that it has seen better days. The rooms are large and bedding is clean but the carpets are rundown, old, the air conditioning is weak, and the flooring has holes in it… at least in our room. The staff do what they can but the property needs an overhaul. I would stay again but don’t come expecting a three star experience.

Fantastic location by the beach and town. Good staff. Gives a slightly shabby impression in the corridors and the doors are responsive. But it is a wonderful experience of Italy!

Quiet hotel
3.8
Huge hotel, very impersonal. The view from the bedroom is amazing, overlooking the sea
3.8
The size of the room was great, and it was very comfortable! Also, we loved the view from our room, of the water, as well as the convenience of the beach! Also, the hotel breakfast was great! We definitely plan to come back to this hotel! Further, the restaurant right outside of the hotel served great food, had reasonable prices, and was very convenient for us!

Our stay was very comfortable. Big rooms and good breakfast..

Old school hotel. Check in desk very nice and polite.
Helped with late dinner option and taxis.
Thank you

Nice seaview

Our stay was great & staff was very helpful!

Nice old Hotel. Good for sleeping breakfast was fair. Front desk very good. shower very small and dirty. doors need oiling. floors need work carpet very old.
3.8
Easy enough to find but on a very noisy, busy road. Clean but basic room & bathroom but somewhat dated.
Restaurant was fine with dinner served on the terrace but as mentioned it was noisy. Breakfast was very good.
My half Italian wife took exception to being identified as 'foreigners' by staff not aware she could speak Italian.
3.8
In need of renovation.
3.8
The Hotel is located on a nice area and the stuff was awesome
3.8
Noisy, awfull service and food. We had a bad stomach all of us. I felt like in a prison.

Staff was amazing, I booked a family bedroom wanting two bedrooms and the once I got was just one large one with 3 beds, but they accommodated the change and moved us to a two bedrooms one as soon as available. The hotel is an historically building partially renovated, I loved the setting but some bits would do with a bit more renovation, especially the bathroom. It’s on the main road which is very busy and noisy but all bedrooms have air-con so it’s fine once the window is closed. Overall very pleasant stay and the adjacent restaurant is fab!
3.8
The hotel looks pretty dated from the outside and in and could use some modernisation. Service was good, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean but dated, the hotel is fitted with thick glazing to the front as the noise from the traffic can be overwhelming. There is air conditioning in the room. Breakfast was nice and parking is good as its to the rear of the hotel. Its secured.
3.8
The pool, we thought was on the property and was not. The rooms are old and the door wouldn't open when exiting. The door had be forced just so we could leave. The staff seemed annoyed and frustrated when we asked questions.

We booked a weeks break not knowing what to expect but were immediately made to feel welcome by the friendly happy reception staff in the air conditioned lobby this friendly happy attitude of all hotel staff continued throughout our stay the hotel is dated but in a grand way and is spotlessly clean otherwise large rooms all air conditioned with a great view of the sea front from ours 119 maids work hard to maintain cleanliness in all areas breakfast was a good choice of various cold meats cheeses cakes croissants breads cereals yogurt jams and more to suit all tastes with staff serving coffee or tea directly to your table very relaxing and very nice either inside or outside alfresco the hotel is situated opposite the sea shore with a choice of private pool/ beach (cost to use) or public beach area both very nice we used both during our stay also many bars and restaurants just outside hotel we also walked the old roman road to Sestri and enjoyed the shops and cafes in Sestri pedestrian mallla cafeteria is recommended very nice and just hop on the no 1 bus back to the hotel for 1.50 Euro you can also use this bus to go into Genoa or up the coast to Voltri both well worth a visit as is pau Genoa some areas rough so be carefull were you wander Pegli is not like this nice place friendly people everywhere we really enjoyed our stay and will be going back again loved it

Very polite staff, excellent , very warm welcoming

Hotel needs maintenance. There should attention to general maintenance and overall condition
3.8
This is a crumbling grand dame of a property that a family is trying to keep running and having to try every trick to do so.
I empathise with their challenge but I do not want to be part of it.
Extra charges for beds that I had already stipulated in my booking.
Filthy shower enclosure. Stark, prison cell like rooms.
The opening picture of a pool on Hotels.com is one 200 metres away that you have to pay to use.
Free Parking is very useful.
The breakfast is in line if not slightly better than Italian expectations.
The train noise is significant.
3.8
The hotel advertised a pool, a private beach, chairs and umbrellas. When we arrived they informed us that all of those amenities belong to the hotel nearby! And we could go there and pay extra to rent the beach chairs. Outright lying about their hotel!
3.8
A wonderful hotel across the Mediterranean Sea beach! If you get one of the many the rooms with the view to the sea, you have one of the most beautiful paintings in front of your eyes! Great service, attentif, pleasant lobby, nice room, not the most modern but comfortable and spacious.
3.8
Nice place on the sea, but Something should be renewed.

Very nice stay I enjoyed it...........................

Hotel is unique. Very clean and well kept.
Location is great; easy walk to shops and restaurants in the area . The entire staff was amazing and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
We are very pleased with this hotel and highly recommend it if you are traveling with kids.

Great stay. Room overlooking the water. Nice breakfast. Older hotel but charming.
3.8
Nice location, clean rooms.shower curtain would be a plus.
3.8
Had to pay for parking. It cost 6 euro per day to park.

Definitely could do with a revamp and very dated but it was fine for one night before we flew from Genoa airport. Easy bus route into the center of Genoa (number 1 bus €1.50 each way). Pleasant and helpful staff. Hotel room very dated, and although double glazed there was a lot of road noise until very late at night as it is on the a10 route into Genoa and airport. We had a sea view which was nice but we didn’t explore the local area so can’t comment. Hotel has free secure parking.
3.8
Could do with some upgrading but was great for a large family to visit. Good breakfast
Beach across the road and bus into Genoa also across the road.
Air con was excellent and a fridge in room to store your drinks. A kettle and some cups would have been useful.
Clean and comfortable beds, loads of towels
Would stay there again

The cleaning staff were lovely and friendly that’s all I can say.
Oh and great pizza and coffee in the main village of Pegli.
Don’t waste time in Genoa it’s not attractive at all.

This is a fixer upper. You buy it in this condition and fix it up, not rent it out and certainly not at those prices! Shocked! That picture must have been taken in the 1940s or total photo shopped. In fact the whole area is scary. And loud. I dont even know what to say, I am still in shock!

The property has a great location. Near the beach and some restaurants. Parking on site was a plus. The hotel was pretty dated. Breakfast was good. The staff was great. I think you get what you pay for.
3.8
Double bed room is not as advertised on their website instead two single beds.
Staff unfriendly smirk on their face as if you're bothering them when asking a question.
Bathrooms supply are the bare minimum.
3.8
Not enough instruction in accessing hotel. Taxi driver dropped us out the front to be faced with large flight of difficult steps. Then found out there was access at the back for vehicles and had to drag our bags around the corner and up the lane. Bathroom was small with an extremely difficult access to the shower. The shower leaked through a seal under the base and had to be blocked with one of the towels.
Position of hotel was excellent, staff helpful and breakfast staff very friendly.
A lovely town with a very gracious hotel and we enjoyed our stay there despite the bathroom.
