Outdoor pool and terrace were unavailable for guests to use during our stay 27.6.24 - 01.07.24. When we complained and asked for a discount duty manager refused to speak to us directly and relayed message that the pool was only seasonal and we were out of season - via the receptionist, a down and outright lie as the owner later advised us they’d had issues with the pool and its opening in May had been delayed. Duty manager would not address us personally. Bar service very slow and barman difficult to find. Generally staff unattentive and unhelpful. However having spoken to owner by coincidence he arranged manager Mirela to assist us with problem, she arranged for us to have free breakfast on day 2 and check out with full refund for nights 3-5 made via hotel.com allowing us to book an alternative hotel with pool and sunbathing terrace. Refund processing notification was received within days. We would have expected hotel to have informed us prior to visit that pool was under maintenance as this was main reason we chose this city centre hotel opposed to our usual boutique hotel Casa del Sole

Let's say the resort still harks back to a time decades ago. On check-in, the young staff members are rather unfriendly and their hearts are just not in it. They ask if you are sure that you really want a "matrimonial" room (I know a little Romanian and understand that this is the correct term). They then run through their spiel through the hotel policies and facilities in 10 seconds as fast as possible. Customer service is non-existent. If you are a girl, you may get good service.
The room itself is very dated. Air conditioning was functional but not able to bring the temperature of the room down.
Wifi was very weak and slow.
Two out three jacuzzis/spas were broken. It is obvious no money is being spent on this hotel as I can see in reviews one year ago that they were broken then too and they will probably be broken indefinitely.
Towels are not provided for the swimming pool. You are meant to either ask for them at the front desk (where they are incredulous that you would ask for towels) or just take your bath towels. The towels are a limited commodity as we took some towels down and some guy stole our towel and started using it as he didn't have one - proving why the hotel should provide free pool towels for guests.
The hotel seems to stuck in the 90s or even earlier, relying on its former glories. It desperately needs renovation and staff training.
Oh, and there is a nightclub downstairs.

Wow! Service has truly declined at this property from front desk to bar service. Breakfast: awful.

Comfy room and friendly staff.

Large rooms, comfortable but very noisy. They are not properly phonic isolated so you can hear all the traffic during night. The breakfast was disappointing- old bread, ols mushrooms and eggant salads.

Close to many dining options (pedestrian access) in the central area (the old City) of the City, outdoor swimming pool, cost effective for the offered services, location and amenities.

Excellent location, fantastic breakfast

Well located hotel with pleasant staff and everything one needs during a business trip. Internet and bed were fine. Because the room window was covered by a half transparent ad banner, the room had less natural light.

Booked for a friend travelling to Timisoara. Have stayed there before and had no hesitation in suggesting it. Great location, excellent facilities.
4.0
Not sure if one can call it a 4* hotel but it was clean.
Shower gels and soaps were looking a bit odd.
Overall we were ok with the stay but some small changes could improve a lot the perception.

Good choice for a short business trip, good value for money.

The room was not very clean, smelled like ciggarette. Furniture and the bathroom are quite old. The spa services , pool and saunas were only e few open. (one sauna closed, jacuzzi closed). We had a 2 day trip, the second night we chose another hotel , much cheaper and better conditions

We only stayed here one night, as was heading to Belgrade early the next day.Location is good, its less than a 10 minute walk to St Georges Cathedral and also a short walk to Victory Square. We didnt stay long enough to use the swimming pool or many other facilities.

It is a plain hotel room. very noisy from outside. The staff from reception except when we check in or check out, saw us, no greeting, no noggin, not a word, like we did not exist for 9 nights ! Dose not deserve the price ! I would not go there again. It was very disappointing !!!!!

A fresh warm welcome at unsociable hour (0300) but the hotel reception was a friendly welcome. Room was a good size, and clean. My only adverse comment is that only cash transaction are in Romanian Lei not Euro?

The hotel needs a facelift to live up to today's four star standards. The rooms are comfortable enough but the air conditioning doesn't work really well so watch out should you come in the summer as in May we were boiling. As the hotel is on a main avenue opening the window meant really loud traffic. The entrance could be more welcoming, it feels like the entrance to a conference hall and has little life doesn't care to promote culture or show the vibrancy of the city. Beds are semi comfortable but my biggest issue is that you can still smell the dust and smoke from when the hotel used to be a smoking hotel several decades ago. So if you are sensitive to dust and smoke be warned.

The property is in a convenient spot and has a great pool area. The breakfast was very nice and the staff was helpful but, not attentive. The room was a bit tired and hallway dark but, I had a pleasant stay

In center, near the main squares. The room is big, nice and with a beautiful view. We liked the spa, very clean and relaxing. Very good breakfast. The hotel has AC and fast elevators. I recommend it.

Very hot rooms, no controls for heat level. Paid, very crowded parking. There are better hotels in the town.

The only bémol was the fact that they charged fifteen euros for the transfer from hotel to airport while it supposed to be free as mentioned on the information given by Expedia.com???
5.0
The hotel is within walking distance of everything in the city centre, and has a spacious lobby and nice spa, pool and gym. Staff are helpful, rooms are clean. Wifi is fast, but you occasionally have to disconnect and reconnect to keep it working.
The only problem was late-night bass sounds from the club downstairs on New Year's Eve - probably an unusual occurrence!

Basically the hotel is a good one.
The rooms needs renovate.
There are very good Jacuzzis, outside and inside swimming pools and a huge gym.
The breakfast is very good with a big varieties.
The parking place is with a charge of 20 Lei for one night.
Lication great!

This eastern European hotel is on par with any high end hotel in the States and should be a natural stay choice for all those who are accustomed to American standards. Unless you look out the window, you may feel you are at home!
