Enjoyable stay on the Bay in the offseason. Room was clean, nice view. Ongoing construction was away from room. The two restaurants were convenient and served local seafood!

It was awful. Immediately upon opening the door to the room there was just an awful old smell reeking from the room so we opened the windows and blasted the AC to get the smell out. The beds are super old and uncomfortable. The couch is clearly old and smelled awful. The prices are way too high for that kind of quality. Stop putting millions into a parking garage and work on the hotel!!! Also there’s no breakfast! Look somewhere else before staying here.

Property was under construction but was not loud or inconvenient in any way. Like the quietness around the area, and would stay again.

We wanted a stopover with marina/ocean views and Rod 'N" Reel didn't disappoint. Read the most recent reviews. Complaints from a year ago didn't happen to us. There is definitely major construction right now but as they are building a new wing but it didn't bother us. Make sure you pay attention when booking as not all rooms have balconies. We were able to upgrade on-site and I can totally recommend have sundowners on your balcony. We ate a great seafood dinnner at Trader's (about a 5 minute walk) and it was so good we had brunch the next day on the way out. Great value for money.

Overall it was a very nice stay. We didn't know when you booked the room that the resort was under construction. There was lots of banging and contruction people at our window. The room humility level was terrible. There wasn't much of a way to control it. We used the thermostat on the air conditioner to try to deal with the noisture, but it was cold and damp. My shoes were wet when we left.

Lisa, Alisha and who I call Clark Kent did a phenomenal job during our stay! Everything from our Room 215 which was the best in the entire building. To include the bicycles which we utilized during our stay to ride into town to pick up crabs and later went back to eat oysters on the water. I highly recommend staying its home away from home .. very romantic and relaxing. This is my little hideaway ❤️💋

One of our most pleasant stays recently. EVERYONE in the are was very friendly. About 45 minutes after checkout today, there was no hesitation or annoyance of 5 or so employees searching for my son’s wallet for at least 30 minutes… staying again in November - already booked!

I love that there's a CVS just 5 min walk from the hotel, plus a McDonald's, & Grocery store in the same locations. Need more Breakfast options. Overall, a great getaway spot. Thank you!!

Outdoor venue was lovely and well kept. Awesome water views.
Room showed some age and had faint musty smell.
Staff was very helpful.

I appreciated the customer service, beautiful view, and free parking. Also, I was able to book a room last minute.

Amazing place to stay!

It is a very nice property, with good restaurants and right on the Chesapeake Bay.

We originally thought we were getting a room with a balcony.
1.5
It’s a quiet place with little to do after fishing. Restaurant attached to the hotel is expensive and not worth the value of the food.

We had no hot water, and we replaced our room once, and the carpet was filthy. I will not recommend.
4.0
A property with great potential considering the location, the cozy marina and surroundings.
I'm sure it's going to be more attractive after all the constructions and updates are done.
An included breakfast would be perfect considering the fees. It would significantly help to be offered starting 6 am for the guests who are booking a morning cruise.
Overall, a nice place with friendly staff.

The hotel and hotel staff were great! We went with some friends to see a band playing at their pavilion. The people were friendly, and the drinks were served quickly, but the food took forever. It took more than an hour to get the service of a BLT and fries. Drinks=fast, food=too slow. Eat before you get there,

Room was nice and a/c cold. But - TV was firmly mounted pointed towards the ceiling! Mold in corners of caulking in bathtub. Charging hotel guest for a picnic table to watch the show was ridiculous. Our first concert three years ago was much better. The online food thing is a joke - waited and hour and a half and never got the food. Had to cancel. Put some grills up and cook some burgers and dogs with a beer tub and make your lives easier!

We stayed during phase 3 of construction on the resort - it looks like it's going to be a great addition, however nowhere did it state that we'd be staying in a construction zone. Would have been nice to know beforehand, would have stayed elsewhere instead.

The room was clean. The lobby had a musty odor. When you opened the door to your room, you had to really push because the bottom of the door was stuck on the carpet. Therefore, there was carpet in the room and the door would not close automatically behind you. The outside bar was limited on mixed drinks, and the food for breakfast was served on disposable plates and glasses(all plastic including tableware).

Convenient,clean. Rooms need updating.
2.0
The carpets were filthy in our room. I took a shower, walked into the bedroom to dress, qnd then had to go back into the bathroom and rewash my feet before putting on my shoes. And when I washed my feet, the wash rag was filthy black. Also, the room felt damp and clammy all the time. When we went to bed, the sheets actually felt clammy and very uncomfortable until our body heat warmed them up. It definitely needed a new A/C unit and potentially a dehumidifier. Also, there was so much construction, you could hardly find the entrance. I will say the staff was very nice and friendly.

The bay was beautiful

it was amazing staying here….. beautiful hotel…..beautiful rooms clean smell good. AND full sized towels you have no idea how much of a big deal that was and how often even nicer hotels have SMALL towels.

This resort is a gem in a beautiful place. Came here for scenic, peace and quiet. Was blown away by service, atmosphere and the beauty of the property.
2.0
The property is currently under construction and difficult to navigate. When asking the staff about things to do in the area, no one could offer any suggestions or help. There is no beach access and limited marina access. The rooms were damp and walls dirty. The property photos are an embellished version of this property.

Good things.
1. The view from our window.
2. Beds were comfortable.
3. Room was clean.
4. Close to town, grocery store, RX, and restaurants.
The reason for only 4 stars.
1. Deco was outdated.
2. Construction going on around the hotel.
1.0
I stayed for 5 nights and they never once cleaned my room, took out trash, or brought clean towels. I even requested these services and it never happened. I am very disappointed in the customer service.
4.0
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is:
*older decor
*Construction
On a good note:
*Beautiful view
*staff was nice
*Room was clean
*Great location
