I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. It was not clean at all – there was visible dirt in several areas, and the bathroom was especially bad. It hadn't been cleaned properly, with grime around the sink and shower, and there were exposed cables in the room, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. This was not the standard I expected.

New furniture and carpet was a plus. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The ocean and pool view with balcony was wonderful.
The walls and doors were thin, and the neighbors were noisy. It was a bargain price but you pay for it with sleepless nights.

Will stay again. Understanding the devastation caused by the different hurricanes, with some accommodations this property still delivers, family oriented, very clean and comfortable rooms, all rooms beach view so it won't disappoint. We stayed the day/night of Thanksgiving, there could be construction but we did not experience it.

Great value on the beach. Older hotel but our room was clean and service was wonderful.

Pictures give a false idea of what you will see.
Had cockroaches in our room and coming back from dinner seen several roaches outside building.
I would not recommend staying here.

Nothing like the photos on the website. Dark and dingy inside. Shower head wobbly. Very dated. Wouldnt let my Mom use the shower for safety concerns.

The door of the room we were given, looks as if it had been broken into and not fixed. The door would not lock the second room. It was dirty. It had roaches crawling over our food. The bathroom still had hair from the last guess.

Actually, the place is good. But now there are repair works along the beach, the tractor roars all day and there is a smell of diesel. It was not possible to relax and enjoy the coast. In addition, every morning in the pool there are many different ducks and even big cockroaches, we cleaned the pool ourselves.

The hotel has gone down hill since the last time I was here about four years ago, now. There's a lot of work that needs to be done like painting, filling holes in walls, and replacing the cabinets.
Many of the room doors need to be fitted so they close without slamming. Roaches were in two of the large suites we booked. They have humidifiers in the suites. The moisture in the air from the beach was the cause of us using the bath towels on the floor. Seemed like no matter how much we dried it up there would be pools of water througout the tiled areas of the suite. Everybody slipped and fell at least once so be careful or wear socks. Slippers will have you gliding across the floor. The rates went up but the quality went down. No smoking on the property. Smokers have to go allll the way to the other side of the hotel. The smoking area is basically as far away from hotel as they could get it and still say it's on their property. I would say, you get what you pay for but you get a bit less here.
The continental breakfast is as to be expected: cereal, packaged danishes and bagels, Jimmy Dean's packaged sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits, coffee, juice, milk. The suites have kitchens with stoves (4 burners, oven), refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and has dishes: pots, skillet, utensils, and cookware (with wine and can opener).
The groundskeepers and cleaning staff were all really nice whenever we interacted. They seemed pleasant. The front desk attendant was polite

They have some construction being done in the back, but that was fine. The view was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice and clean. I will be returning again.

This place is on the beach, great location however in need of much tlc. Very dated. House keeping did not make beds or vlean unit. Only left towels. Probably would not go back.

Very old building, needs remodel) shower was leaking, toilet was leaking too… AC not working good and was noisy at nighttime
4.0
We stayed here two nights during the race weekend. I booked it based on price and breakfast.
First the location was good, right on the beach and in a decent area. The hotel and room need a lot of work though. The hallways, elevator etc. were not great and made the entire place appear rundown. The room itself was just ok. It seemed clean but was in desperate need of a makeover. The air conditioner was so noisy it actually kept us up or woke us up. The "continental breakfast" was a joke, don't count on it. But if you do, don't be a minute late or the breakfast wench will lock you out and give you attitude.
Until the place is updated, I would not recommend staying here.

Not like the pictures online, everything was dirty, toilet did not flush and made a mess, shower leaked all night you could hear it. Everything was falling apart. Horrible!

It was extremely dirty, we found 4 different roaches within an hour while we were there. The beds weren’t clean and we were very uncomfortable.

Nice place to stay for a night or two. Room was clean and comfortable and overlooking the ocean.

in the rooms there were cockroaches. the licenses of the elevators were expired

Value for the money.. one elevator is okay but it takes forever. We usually just use the stairs. There are some litters in the lobby esp in the ground floor

The property is very relaxed, and while the building is older and dated to some extent, the staff were kind and always happy to help. The area around the hotel is not a very high class area with a nearby strip club and lots of foot traffic. But no one bothered me. The elevator is a hot mess and stops on random floors along the way to your destination, but it will get you there. The pool was nice and while I did not enter it, there were people using it always and it did seem clean. Everything in my room worked correctly and bed was comfortable. Its not the fanciest place that's ever been, but I would not be afraid to stay there again. Thank you El Caribe!

This place looked very small until you got into the room. It was Hugh and very clean. The pool was perfect size and met a couple people there really nice. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to call a number and wait for them to come and let you in. They own another place that they attend to. So the wait was bad. But they were very nice. Well worth it. I would stay there again for sure.

You get what you pay for. The property is on the older side, typical for Daytona area. Lots of families were there. I dont typically stay this far South, a bit of a drive to Publix or Dunkin. Winn Dixie across the street had a lot of options for quick beacside meals.

Very good

Staff were very accommodating and fantastic to deal with. Hotel needs building and property maintenance as its showing its age. Right on the beach and great views especially the sunrise. Bring coffee filters if you plan on making coffee in the room. There is a breakfast downstairs but its pretty basic, bagels, cereal, oranges, prepackaed breakfast sandwiches.

Wasn’t what was advertised online

View of beach was perfect. Was able to watch sunrise from my balcony while drinking my coffee. Thankfully I am an early person because workers began repairs at 8am using heavy equipment. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We arrived late at night and they were several people milling around as well as a homeless person sleeping between parked cars.

Overall was pretty good. Front desk was super helpful and very nice and accommodating. The rear is a work zone though, hope it gets finished soon!

The view was the only redeeming quality. First had to have maintenance show how to open rusted door To close must swipe key card and jerk handle and slam door. AC thermostat did not work well, Had it adjusted twice and still did not work We talked to a guest who had the same problems even after changing rooms twice. So room change not an option Construction of seawall went on below us was noisy. A leak in bathtub caused water to puddle inside entry. My husband found cause of leak was a hole where the hand hold in tub should be. He felt wallboard was soft and separating from floor board.; So it has been leaking for awhile. We reported all to front desk. Because of stress we cut our trip short . Instead of 3 days we stayed 1 day

The room was clean amf the staff helped us out greatly. She doesnt do elevators so they awitched pur rooms with mo questions asked. The property has retaining wall damage that is beimg repaired so a bot noisy duri g the day.

So close to the beach! Great view! Very comfortable beds! The room is well equipped with refrigerator and it works! Microwave, coffee maker, tables and chairs. Big window for great view of the beach. Wide balcony with chairs and side table where we sat for morning coffee. Continental breakfast is free from 6:30 to 9. Awesome friendly staff. The building is old so it’s not a five star but with the price and amenities, it was awesome for us!

The hotel as a whole was super run down paint was chipped / the deck by pool had weak spots / elevator kept malfunctioning

The hotel was right on the beach. I paid for an ocean front room but half of my view was of a building to my right. A manager is not there in the evening so our first night was in an ocean view room. The front desk clerk said I had to wait for the manager in the morning. She called me and I told her that it was ocean view not ocean front. She said a lot of people said that. You would think that would give them a clue. The manager never offered anything like reducing my bill for the first night to ocean

You can tell it is old. There were rust spots and peeling paint. Almost every door was heavy and hard to open which is a hazard in the event of an emergency.
