Hotel is a little dated ( sunchairs could do with a refresh) but overall the service is 5 star and the rooms were comfortable and clean with good walking distance to centre of town - be aware it is uphill though so if you have mobility issues not the best choice

A lovely place and great location! Staff is friendly and professional. The place is clean and comfortable, with a great breakfast included!

Great hotel. The owner is in residence and keeps the standard very high indeed. Spotless rooms with balconies. Jet tub in bathroom was really good. Staff were delightful. There’s a wellness centre too and the massage is excellent and fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Great location, quiet and ten minute walk to main drag.

Hotel itself is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is fantastic. The only downside is that it is pretty isolated. There’s really no options for dinner unless you walk to town. It’s a short walk down, but I wouldn’t want to walk back up the hill during the hot afternoon. We stayed in town until dark and the walk back, after dinner was pleasant.

Great stay! My 7 year old grandson loved the pool, food and hotel. Spotlessly clean with helpful and friendly staff.

We stayed a week in this hotel. We selected it because of its quiet location, yet only ca 12 minutes walk to the center or port All staff were very friendly and helpful, except the head waiter (or maitre d' ?) at dinner time who was short tempered , unfrienly, rude. From there on we ate at other places in town. Breakfast buffet offered more variety than most other Italian hotels. Our room was comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, including bath robes. Nice balcony with view of the ocean. There was a bit of a shortage of hot water at times when other guests took showers, not a big thing. The pool was refreshing, the jets only last ca 30 seconds , then one had to push the button again. Overall we were glad to have selected hotel Tritone.

The pool is one of the best for relaxing and cooling off. Hotel staff was very helpfull and spoke English. Restaurant staff was rude.

The rooms are well-appointed and in excellent shape. The bathroom was one of the best we have had in Italy. There are an awful lot of rules posted, including not using the pool without a swimming cup [sic]. I did see someone swimming without a cup, so that rule is not stringently enforced.Fortunately, this thou shalt not attitude was not reflected by the staff, who were particularly helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wider choice than one usually finds in Italy. The restaurant is quite good, and we had our best dinner in Lipari there. It is within a short walk of the centre of town.

The hotel is good, the rooms were very clean. We paid extra for a sea view which was gorgeous, especially at sunrise. Even if you don't have a sea view, there is a public terrace with a sea view. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food. Service was excellent. Downsides: the shower is actually a jacuzzi (which we did not use), meaning it is higher than the bathroom floor, making the exit from the shower slightly tricky (you have to be very careful not to slip) and also we would have liked an electric kettle in the room for coffee/tea late at night/early in the morning. Another thing is that if you walk to the hotel, there is very steep incline. It is relatively close to the main street of Lipari, but is very quiet. I would recommend the hotel for a solid stay.

Perfect hotel that was so close you could pop out and return for a rest and then go out again. Mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. Mini bar prices were reasonable along with a nice breakfast.

Hotel is nice. Kind of dated fixtures, but very clean and incredibly well put together. The hotel is a bit of a ways away from the main town, and up a steep hill. Staff was very friendly and nice. Room had multiple notes instructing you to not store food in the mini fridge, not to flush things down the toilet etc.... very thorough in their instructions!

Very nice stay, friendly staff, hotel felt a little dated n terms of decor but it was spacious and clean and the pool area is very nice and less than a 10 min walk into Lipari.

Tritone is a beautiful hotel in its own little oasis, a wonderful spring fed pool with lots of Jacuzzi & massage jet stations. The staff are amazing, friendly and e remelt efficient, nothing was too much trouble. As for the 'continental breakfast' buffet, I've never seen such a good range of hot and cold food & drinks. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is set in lovely gardens which are tended to by the staff. The building is tradtional style for the island and is only 10 years old. In wonderful condition and maintained to a high standard. The swimming pool is really lovely and the area is thoughtfully designed for sun and shady areas surrounded by plants and statuesl
Our room had a small terrace, as did all the rooms, facing the sea, a lovely view.
Hotel staff from manager to all levels where all very friendly and efficient.
The buffet breakfast is extensive especially for those who love Italian fresh cakes.
Location at the top of town, equals quiet and only a few minutes to walk down town to lovely shops and many restaurants.
The hotel will arrange any trips to other islands on request. Guests are met at the wharf by the hotel's private driver and returned on departure day.
A highly recommend for this hotel if staying on the lovely island of Lipari.

Neat, cleanHotel but the room, swimming pool and terras were not as Nice as On the website. No bath tub but a Shower. 3rd bed a small folding bed. Other than a tosti there is nothing to eat at the poolbar after 2. Also kitchen in restaurant is closed. Room rate too high for the standard of the hotel. Nice breakfast.

The hotel rooms overlook the pool and behind is the remains of a volcano - superb. From the breakfast terrace there is an excellent view if the old town centre and you can watch the hydrofoils. 5 mins walk into the old town.
The staff were delightful and the hotel facilities are top quality. I would go back tomorrow !

Walking distance to the main ferry and bus terminal - lots of grocery shops and excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk - good breakfast and helpful, friendly staff. Pool area comfortable - well appointed. The beds are to firm but that seems to be the way in South Italy.

The restaurant was fantastic and the breakfast was surprisingly vast and good!
Pool was very clean and had a barmen all day catering for all our needs.
Room was nice but it was let down by the sheer amount of mosquitoes inside the room and in hallways. Would rate excellent if it wasn't for this.
Staff was fantastic, especially Odetta who helped organise a boat tour for me and the driver of the bus who picked me up and took me to the Ferry!
Cya next year :)

I stayed at the hotel for a conference. It was comfortable and convenient to the ports and lovely areas of Lipari. The pool area was clean and very pleasant.
Most of all, the hotel management were absolutely magnificent helping 4 of us, whose baggage was mislaid on various Alitalia flights into Catania. The manager kept telephoning (we could barely ever get a response) and calling all persons and areas of lost luggage that he could to keep us informed and eventually 6 days later our baggage was collected by the hotel from the port at Lipari. I was extremely indebted to the hotel for the persistance and help offered to us.
Lipari is a gorgeous destination and I will visit the islands and the Hotel Tritone again.

Room, especially the tiled bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, are very nice, and the small view balcony was a comfortable place for an early evening cocktail. Breakfast was typical tourist hotel, I.e. Scrambled eggs, bacon and an assortment of pastries. Staff endured my meager attempts at Italian with pleasantness. Not for everyone though since the walk into town center (port) could be too much of a struggle for some guests, especially the walk back up.

nice hotel, many unexpected additional charges for small services.

It is NOT a 5 stars hotel as shown on the website. I was very dissapointed when I found out on arrival (I don't think it was ever given 5 stars) but our room was very comfortable and clean with a beautiful view of the garden and swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our only regrets: no bathtub and no English Speaking Channels on TV.

This was the nicest hotel we have been to, very clean and comfortable, small and intimit. The breakfast and other meals were just amazing, the staff is very friendly and will do anything for you and most do speak english. The hotel is located with in short walking distance to everything in Lipari. We had a great time and will definately go back again.

No complaints about this place. All rooms (just about) have a view of the sea, and they all overlook the pool which is equally as nice to look out over. We had a quiet room on the same floor as the reception (which is in fact a couple of floors above the pool). This meant we had a smaller terrace than the lower floors but much more privacy. The pool is great, with all sorts of hot tubs and massage areas to play with! Thought it was a bit mean of them to charge us 5 euros for use of a beach towel (which you get from reception) but people probably trash them in Vulcano (see below). There is a spa by the pool offering massages etc (I had a sports massage which was 50 euros for an hour - it was OK, a bit too gentle!). The room was lovely with housekeeping visiting twice a day, the staff were good and breakfast was perfectly fine. I didn't find their directions easy to follow mainly because they were assuming you arrive at a different jetty from the one we came in on. It is only a 5 - 10 minute walk from the centre but would recommend a taxi the first time round or else asking directions (don't follow the road signs, they'll take you a long way round).

Probably the best hotel on the island overall, takes a bit of walking to get to the main part of town or to the sea. The beach is far as well (10 min by bus or taxi).
