My holiday at Taoro Garden was very nice. The hotel is very good. It is located in a beautiful green location. The food was very good. The staff was kind, especially the staff from the buffet. A special thank you to Erica - the animation girl. But there is also place for some small improvement: the singers and the shows in the evening are not the best. They also start singing/playing pretty early, even while people have their dinner. I‘ve seen better, proper shows in some other hotels.

I really loved my stay here. Although the decor is a bit tired, the staff, food and the general feeling is great. When the sun is shining the pool area is so peaceful. I sat on my balcony watching parakeets in the trees, the mountains and the sunset. It’s a steep walk into town (takes about 25 mins and would be a struggle if you had a pram or mobility issues), but taxis are easy to find. The deposits for kettles and irons etc is annoying. I can’t believe there isn’t tea and coffee in a 4 star hotel. Don’t be put off by this, the staff and the care they take of you makes up for it. Very reasonable prices for drinks. Love the library 😊 I would definitely stay again.

I never leave reviews but felt this hotel deserved a 5 star review. The views from our room were incredible of the Mount teide.
The food was varied and enjoyable.
The staff were amazing and always happy.
Swimming pool was good and lovely quiet atmosphere.

First of all -
1. Property outlines there is a free on site off site parking. In reality hotel is located at the end of short street with only 14 parking spaces available. For a hotel with 5 times at least this capacity
After I contacted Expedia regarding this issue hotel offered a parking that is 5£ a night in secured parking area
2. Hotel is advertising itself as a 4 star hotel - however in the room not even a water bottle was provided. Kettle was provided upon request on second day , no tea or coffee.
3. Gym facility is extremely outdated and poor. Equipment is very old , type of equipment that is bought for the house - cheap and old. Limited amount of weights - 10kg is a heaviest dumbbell.
4. Generally as you arrive hotel appears very old - paint is peeling off , windows are old, Street in front of hotel is bad condition. The only refurbishment took place in dining area , reception and rooms.
5. Location - uphill 25min from town centre
6. Access cards - literally every morning card was no longer working , had to go to reception to reactivate. On a third day after complaining I was given a card that worked for more that 1 day
Overall this is not a 4 star hotel , far from it. 3 star
Breakfast is ok

excellent staff

The place was nice and offered daily bus services to the city centre. However I feel like it lacked vegetarian options, there wasn’t much for people that are vegetarian. Overall, a lovely hotel and good staff members.
4.3
Members of staff were friendly to each other and to guests. They made everything possible to make our stay great.
Great location - in the park, within walking distance from the city center.
4.3
Food quality and variety huge let down, definitely not to 4 star standard. Restaurant terribly unorganised and very stressful experience. Utter lack of management, attention to details and customer focus. High inconsistency among service levels throughout. Room amenities practically non-existent: again, nowhere near 4 star standards. Beds though very comfortable, rooms of good size and quiet. Lovely swimming pool area and well kept gardens, but music way too loud at pool bar and more seating in garden would be nice. Overall good standards of cleanliness, but definitely not well organised with timigs eg. Starting cleaning hall and lifts with thus wet and slippery floor when breakfast starts (7.30 rather late by the way) and guests move around. Too few hotel shuttle buses to town-not ideal timings and not at the weekend. Overall it could all be much better with some effort.
4.3
I think this hotel has the best quiet location in Puerto de la Cruz, being just next to Tauro Park. A great pool, too, which would be even better if it were heated. There’s a bit of inside noise in the rooms especially from cleaners and upstairs neighbors, but overall this is one of the best hotels in Puerto de la Cruz. Air conditioning was off in winter time, but one could keep the window open without problem. No proper grocery stores nearby, but there’s a relatively short walk downhill to the city center, and you can take taxi back for c. 4 euros.
4.3
Really nice hotel in the center of the city. View to the ocean, great accommodation. The only things is that is not a “only adult” hotel as when I was there there was families and new born baby.

Ich war sehr zufrieden und kann das Hotel empfehlen.
4.3
Staff service was terrific, the hotel grounds were well kept
4.3
Great hotel in beautiful, peaceful location. Good size, comfortable room, excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal for a relaxing holiday but not the place to stay if you like night life.
4.3
good pool, quiet location near nice park.Easy access to town but lots of steps.
4.3
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights on half board and were very happy with our choice. What we liked: clean room/bathroom with comfy bed, air con and balcony. The hotel doesn’t encourage children although there were a couple it was a very quiet and peaceful hotel and garden. The restaurant was especially well run with staff very pleasant and helpful. There is a buffet at both breakfast and dinner with an amazing assortment of soup, salads, main course and desserts. There was plenty of choice and it was fresh and nicely cooked at a grill by the chef.
The hotel is located on a hill so walking back from the town could be challenging for some. However there is a shuttle bus from the hotel and you are given one free pass. Car parking is limited at the hotel but there is a free car park quite close by and we did not have any problems apart from bird droppings. There’s a nice big swimming pool but we didn’t use it so can’t comment on that. The people at reception were super helpful.
What we missed was tea/coffee making but you could hire this, slippers and a dressing gown but for the price you can’t expect everything. The bath was a bit slippery to get out of if you’re a bit older but we had each other to cling to.
All in all an excellent find. We ate so much we didn’t have to buy lunch and we’re now on a diet.

When booking the hotel its says no kids yet when we got there they was quite a number of kids. There isnt a lot of kids to so the hotel isn't makde for them.
4.3
nice quiet and clean place to spend a week or so .Worth every penny .
4.3
Comfortable and efficient but hard to find, with main entrance tucked away in a narrow street. Good if you have a car as parking available (though hotel spaces very narrow). Some distance from bars/restaurants in lower town, but taxis to return readily available and cheap by UK standards. Recommend superior room, some "standard" rooms tucked away in corners with no view from terrace. Buffet food good value but not much atmosphere.
4.3
No air conditioning functioning despite the advertisement of such. The woman who checked me in was very good but I had terrible service from a young man, I believe was named Sebastian? His treatment of me made me feel as though I was in a 1 star hotel. Very apathetic towards my concerns. Overall I would avoid this hotel because of the lack of insulation between the rooms and hearing my neighbors/housekeeping too much. This seems to be a common problem for hotels on Tenerife.
4.3
lovely hotel in a great location, grounds and surroundings were lovely. all the staff were very friendly and attentive, some of the rooms are a little tired and not the 4 star standard expected, but we're comfortable and kept clean. The restaurant had a reasonable choice of food although sometimes a little odd (sprouts for breakfast?!)but you can eat well. Most of the hotel is of excellent standard, would recommend

Hotel was
+ clean
+the food was simple and good
+ rooms were spacious
+ friendly staff
+ Garden/pool area was cozy, allthough the water was quite cold (understandable in November).
+ Free parking, but...
- the parking spaces were way too narrow. It was hard to get out without denting other cars. Every day there was on one car parked on the lines and took two spaces. If you take one space away and make the slots wider, all the cars would probably fit between the lines and no-one would have to double-park. I'm guessing everyone parking has a rental car, so making it wider would be decent.
4.3
We had a lovely 1 week stay at the hotel. The staff were excellent, particularly Ivan M (reception), Elizabeth and Sergio (restaurant staff) who looked after us very well. We will surely be back!
4.3
Very good hotel in a lovely garden setting in the middle of a park. Great view of Mount Teide.
4.3
Just OK. Food wasn't that good, stayed half board and wasn't impressed with the quality and variety. Also for a 4 star hotel, I don't expect to be asked to come downstairs to collect an iron from the reception and drop a 20euro refundable deposit for the iron!! Definitely won't return there.
4.3
altogether a very good hotel for the price; nice walk through gardens to sea but need good fitness on way back
4.3
This was for our honeymoon. It was a beautiful hotel!
4.3
Great staff who were all very helpful. Plenty of choices at meal times and lovely fresh salads. 15 minute walk into town is all downhill which means a climb on the return unless you get a cab. 249 steps up but ok and you can reward yourself with a drink in the very nice bar at the top of the garden :) There is a free shuttle service that runs several times a day, except Sunday's, to the shopping centre in town and back. Limited parking at the hotel with VERY narrow spaces but plenty of space at the free carpark which is a pleasant two minute walk through the gardens. Free wifi is very good. My only complaint would be that you have to pay 17 Euros to use the room safe for a week and you also have to hire a kettle if you want one in your room, surely these should be included in the room charge.
4.3
The Hotel considered w/c 5th March to still be "winter", so there was no aircon, despite temperatures in the mid/high 20's, making the room stuffy. The half-board rate included either lunch or dinner, both of which were buffet style and rather unappetising (given the availability of very many excellent restaurants in Puerto de la Cruz, I skipped the meals in the hotel). Breakfast however was acceptable. Staff were helpful, location (by a park) was pleasant, although about a 15 minute walk (down a steep hill) to the old town and harbour (so taxi for return was required). Large pool, tennis and other good facilities. Partial view of El Tiede.
4.3
Staff was very friendly and informative, breakfast and dinner had many healthy options, fresh vegetables and fruits. The overall state of the hotel is good, however, the toilet in our room was a bit smelly and it could do with some remodeling. There is some parking at the property, but it gets full very fast (more parking available 5 min away). All-in-all recommended.
4.3
Stayed for a week on half board in late January. The room was comfortable and clean. We chose sea view but the mountain view rooms had evening sun. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant lacks atmosphere and whilst the food was fine at breakfast it soon became repetitive in the evenings. The location is good, a quiet area, with a short walk down into town but a very steep climb back up! Luckily taxis are cheap! The weather was not in our favour, which was a shame, but the couple of times we sat by the pool it was very pleasant. Overall, we felt we had good value for money.
4.3
The Tauro Garden setting and the hotel gardens themselves make the hotel - once you find them - for directional signage in the whole area is virtually non-existent. Parking too is a MAJOR problem and can be seriously inconveniencing. The bus is useful, and, if you've no car, necessary.
Hotel rooms unexceptional - no real description about hotel or area, no pictures, no tea/coffee (unless you pay extra), no safe (unless you pay extra) - it's that kind of place. Balcony pleasant, though no accessible electric plug, and the bathroom flooring - at least in Room 132 - nothing short of disgusting.
The staff, particularly the desk staff, seem generally excellent; food OK with genuine attempt to provide some day-to-day variation.
4.3
Staff in all areas were brilliant, the food was excellent, very good quality and a wide range on offer to suit all tastes and needs. The bedroom was larger than average and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and relaxing with great WiFi connection. The location suited us as a bit further from the centre. Taxis were cheap and necessary as the whole town is situated on a very steep hillside.
4.3
Even though the hotel is quite a big one the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good as too was the pool area. My room was cleaned every day to a high standard.
4.3
My overall experience was amazing. The only concern I had was, the breakfast needs to be improved and there was not much vegetarian option too.
4.3
positives:
- good hotel/room quality overall, clean and comfortable
- decent choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner
- breakfast food, which does not have to be hot, was quite varied and tasty
- half-board customers can choose freely between lunch and dinner
- pool is comfortable, not crowded
- good WiFi (very good for a hotel connection), but one you have to constantly relog into
neutrals:
- I found the reception service professional and helpful, but I arrived late and there was only one receptionist, who was busy helping some confused people book another hotel, which took about 15 minutes while I stood waiting, tired and slightly sick; there should be more staff, the people themselves are OK
negatives:
- dinner food is rather bad, and far too cold if you arrive during the later hours
- be careful about order even a bottle of water during dinner - they will charge you extra even for that
- impossible find a parking spot if you return to the hotel during the evening; hotel parking spaces fill out fast and everywhere else in the area there are yellow lines around which you cannot park (theoretically, in practice you have no other choice)
- there is not much to do around the hotel, you are pretty much required to drive to anywhere of interest
4.3
Lovely hotel, food could have been better.
4.3
Lots of activities put on throughout week, such as darts tournament, table tennis, water polo, aqua aerobics, yoga etc. As well as that, in the evening there is bingo, music quiz, etc.
Food was good, wouldn't say to get all inclusive as food wasn't as good as the restaurants in local town.
Hotel is next to a lovely park with an outdooor gym and the walk into town goes past a lovely waterfall garden.
