Since areas around Calafate are known for trekking and other activities, most tours operates very early! Although breakfast is included for our stay, the hotel does not offer packed BF to go before the buffet bar opens. It’s such a shame for such a resort hotel!

I had a reservation on Oct 30th but unfortunately there was strike on transportation in the country on that day and our flight to El Calafate was cancelled. Out of our control. All the tour companies and flights understood the situation and refunded customers including me.
However when I contacted Lagos del Calafate for the refund or at least a credit to use another time since we were strainded in a different city where hotels were cooperative of our situation and accomodated all of us stuck trying to make our way to El Calafate. But Lagos Del Calafate completely ignored my request as well as ignoring Hotels.com trying to reach out for me.
This is very sad and mean behavior from this hotel.

I’ve got a room next to dining room. There’s a food smell all over the room when I turn a ventilator on. They only provide 2 conditioners in bathroom. I need to ask front desk for shampoo.

the walls are as thin as paper. you can hear everyone at all times of the night. we tried to switch rooms but still heard just as loud noises from the new room to which we returned back to our original room to try to get some sleep. you can hear snoring and talking from each room next to you. if i known this ahead of time i would've never booked here! this has ruined our vacation and will make sure to not recommend this property to anyone coming to El Calafate. the snoring and talking you can hear through earplugs. the kitchen and dining hall are too close and dinner hours are a nightmare as you hear everyone and even the silverware being used. they need to address this ASAP.

Beautiful place and excellent service

Good attention and the food delicious

Room great. Staff great. Breakfast fare could stand an upgrade. Other properties at a lower price point has better selection and quality.

Excellent location-about a 10 minute walk to downtown. Very quiet. Room was spacious. The included breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options. Hotel restaurant was above usual for a hotel. We ate there 3 nights because didn’t want to walk to town after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend.

The location , walking distance to the town about 15 minutes.
Good breakfast excellent view.

Literally everything. Old. Run down. They ruined what was once beautiful. Rude staff. Horrid breakfast. Thin walls, nice if you like to hear snoring or people fornicating

Nice location, hemofili stagg and Excellence spa.

It’s located in a nice, quiet part of town with nice views. The rooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant has very good food

This is a very nice hotel in El Calafate. It is just off the main road, but the short route to the hotel is a gravel road. The hotel is also about a mile from downtown, so it is inconvenient if you want to walk to downtown and back. The breakfast was very good with hot and cold options. The dinner is okay, and I would recommend many of the restaurants downtown for dinner.

Muy buen servicio. Servicio de recepción para ayudarnos con transportes y excursiones fue excelente

We had three rooms. All the bathtubs had patching. They need to change the bathtubs for the price they are charging for those rooms.

Great staff that try their best to keep this aged property going. The walls are very thin, so you can everything on the adjoining rooms. Food is reasonable. Pool is very nice, but now hot tub. The “fitness center” is a joke. Two pieces equipment from the 70’s. Over priced for the stay, but it is over the holidays. Again, really nice and helpful staff.

Sooooo HOT no AC which would have been fine except when we opened the window to cool the room off the house next to the hotel was having a party until 2am which meant either be sweltering hot or not sleep.

Walking distance from El Calafate city center, clean room, comfortable bed, very friendly staff. If I may point out some improvements it would be that the pillows are super high and the breakfast needs a bit more variety. However, I do recommend staying here as it was a nice stay!

Helpful and friendly staff. Room is small but clean. Big spread of items for breakfast. 20 minutes walk to town which has a lot of good restaurants and shops. Overall, it was a good experience at the hotel! Love the town of El Calafate and glacier trekking in Patagonia!

Hotel is pretty good, service is good, good breakfast too. But kind of far from city center, where the restaurants and travel agencies located, 20 minutes walk, including some unpaved road. Good thing is tours bus pickup at hotel.

Overall pretty good, old fashioned elegance. Food is great!

The bad thing of this hotel are some people of the staff. Very arrogant attitude and if you are an Latinamerican or even more, if you are an Argentinian, they are despicable. May be another kind of tourist can say that the treat was different because in fact it was!!! Very disappointed for the time that I spent in this hotel.

Good mattress, heater and nice bathroom. I didn't like the dogs outside the main entrance, too noisy early in the morning. I would recommend this hotel, good experience, good value for money

Excellent experience overall. Friendly staff. The hotel is as in the pictures.

Amazing time in Calafate, the hotel is close to the city only 5 blocks walking, comfort and very good breakfast!! We don’t spend so much time at the hotel because all the excursion was all day..

The staff was very nice and helpful. Nice breakfast and renovated rooms ! Good quality for price

Staff were really helpful from checkin to checkout and really accommodating with kids and pool was great after long day driving across Patagonia.

The people at reception we're great. Due to strike we had flight cancellation and they tried to solve our problem. Breakfast is nicer. First night we ate at restaurant and food was very well prepared.
2.5
Very nice hotel. Was checked in promptly by very polite and helpful staff. Got nice rooms. Was awefully warm in both our rooms and we had to fully turn off the heater and leave the window open on all 4 nights of our stay there. Other than that, had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend and go back there again too

We had great weather though it does get quite windy.

Great hotel, very clean, nice spacious rooms, lovely pool and spa, spa treatments are reasonably priced too. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Only one point to make it is not exactly in the centre of the shops and restaurants and a small walk (15 mins) to get to the heart of it. This is uphill on the way back so those unable to walk far would consider this (although can use taxis)
1.5
This hotel is quite overpriced for the price. I'd rank this hotel along the lines of Motel 6 in the US. Given how low the Argentine currency is, this hotel should be quite a bit cheaper. The location is not convenient for a small town. You can walk to downtown in 20 to 25 minutes, but this is not my idea of convenience. The breakfast is not good.
2.5
Room very clean and staff very friendly. English was spoken by many staff. Walking distance to downtown. Breakfast buffet was amazing.

Looks very luxurious from outside and not so good in our room. During our stay, the bathroom ceiling was leaking water from upstairs. The hotel management simply told the upstairs customers not to use the bathroom and did not offer us to change the room. Breakfast is complementary and fairly good. Walking to downtown takes 15mins.

Not the type of hotel i tend to enjoy but this time I enjoyed the stay: good room/brrakfast. Location is very convenient as it is next to the bus station.

We had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful.
3.0
Lovely stylish hotel, our bathroom was small, barley could get 2 people inside.
Breakfast was the same 3 days in a row. The walk into town took us 20 minutes, which was ok at the beginning of the day, at the end of the day seemed longer. A safe place to visit.
