This was my third stay at Careys Manor and it was just as good as I remembered. The building is beautiful and the team is very welcoming and friendly, there is a real family atmosphere amongst them. The Sen Spa facilities are 10/10, and the treatments are amazing - pure relaxation and I looked 10 years younger after my facial. Highly recommended!

The staff are really friendly, but the hotel itself could do with modernising. Our bathroom was really old with a shower not suitable for someone over 5.9, our room was boiling hot with no way to cool it down, and they didn’t replace the toiletries. Also you have to pay extra to use different spa facilities which wasn’t clear, making the experience much less relaxing.

Lovely place to stay in Beaulieu

Very relaxing place to stay with a beautiful garden. The pool and other amenities are great although it is a bit annoying you can’t use them after checkout. The restaurants are amazing and the staff is very kind and helpful

Had a lovely time at Carey’s Manor with 2 of my girlfriends. A spa hotel easy to get to from London, no car required. The price was good and the spa upgrade is definitely worth it. Breakfast was a very good selection and cooked extras were reasonably priced (boiled eggs for a couple of quid, eggs royale for 8 quid). I simply do not understand some of the other comments about the price not including the extras. Other spa hotels in NF are triple the price of this one. I had a great time and will be back.

Overall a good experience. Customer service very good. Very polite staff. Could be more knowledgeable about the new forest area. Hotel itself very nice but could do with a refurbishment. Room was good but again could do with updating. Bedsheets very nice. Slippers provided are the worst slippers I have ever used at a hotel so definitely needs updating. Literally unusable. Service needs to improve in regard to reception. Very long phone wait times to reception. Staff always absent from reception and need to wait. Checking out there was a queue of about 20 people and 1 receptionist. Spa cant comment as didn’t use. Breakfast not very good. Well the buffet wasn’t. Other than the bakery items everything else was definitely lacking. There were not many options. If you wanted actual food had to order separately for even more money. Overall good but could be better especially when you are paying over £250 a night.

Hotel and Spa staff are excellent. Location in the New Forest is ideal and I regularly recommend Brockenhurst as a good location to base oneself.
The hotel is OK but slightly disappointing given it's price point and premium positioning. Room are tired and slightly under equipped, the spa area is a little dated with free access only including the basic pool and steam room/sauna and the breakfast, although offering a good range of options, became rapidly depleted. We had a basic room for ~£225 and for this money, I'd expect a little more.

Amazing hotel and spa and have been a number of times. Stayed for two nights and had an amazing spa day with two treatments.
Decided to upgrade to a superior garden twin room which was adequate but if I was being extra picky there are a couple of observations that would have improved the room itself.
There was no safe or full length mirror and the wardrobe and draw space were tiny also there was nowhere to sit in front of a mirror to apply makeup and dry our hair.
I want to emphasise non of this affected our stay and is purely feedback based on the quality of the hotel and the cost of upgrading our room and we will definitely be back.
We came to the conclusion that the room was not specifically designed for those of us that need constant reassurance that we leave the room looking our best and our skirts are not tucked in our underwear.

All good. Swimming pool and associated facilities such as jacuzzi, sauna, steam room too small if lots of guests are using the pool as was the case on Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning at 0800 was empty so we managed to enjoy the facilities then but Saturday afternoon was literally packed and not a great experience.

The hotel was amazing, the room was a very good standard. The only let down was not being able to have dinner at the hotel.
Only 2 out of the 3 Restaurants were open and it waa May Bank Holiday weekend.
This meant going out to a local pub for dinner which is not what we wanted.
4.2
The hotel is situated in lovely grounds with beautiful landscaping full of bird song.
We went for 2 nights to rest after a very busy 2 weeks with family.

To be honest I should have booked directly with Carey’s Manor. Probably my fault but I did not realise that I was booking only a room for my husband and I, no breakfast!
Things have changed now one has to pay for a cooked breakfast and with you also the continental one!
Carey’s Manor were very understanding and gave us complimentary continental breakfasts.
Now they allow dogs to stay which put us off even though guests with dogs are given dog friendly rooms. One bounded up to us as we sat outside our room in the garden and messed in front of our room! It’s so reliant on owners restricting their dogs on a lead and this didn’t happen!
However the stars I gave is because the staff are amazing and are trying to cope with all the after financial effect of Covid. Plus the food is very high quality. Although the Zen Thai restaurant food could be better.
So much to recommend with their facilities but be careful who you book through!
I’m just grateful for such understanding and amazing staff at Carey’s Manor who want one’s stay to be the best.

Great location.

Stayed here a few years ago and everything was included in room rate (SPA access, cooked breakfast), there appears to be a management decision to now charge extra for these things which just feels “tight”. Personally I would rather have a more expensive room rate and ensure these items are included than pay for all these extra “add-ons”. Rooms and spa area look tired, needs overhaul and some money spent to keep property at a 4/5 star level.
4.2
A good size comfortable room with garden access. Breakfast was well organised and all the staff very kind and helpful.
4.2
Disappointing and does not resemble the website photos. In reality the Hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment. Our room on ground floor was functional at best, 1980s styling, pillows like rocks, the bathroom very cramped and washbasin chipped & stained.
No direct access to the Spa /Pool area from the hotel - you have to go outside in your thin robe to gain access. On a cold wet February day, far from ideal.
Spa & pool area is dark, dingy and utterly depressing. Additional £39 for access to the slightly better area - dont bother!!
Hotel staff were without exception, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, but extra cost for hot dishes.
Would we return NO … would we recommend NO

Very relaxing stay.

The French bistrot was a little overpriced for the quality of food and the interior, but apart from that it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel was quiet and easy to get to. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room were a welcome addition without having to pay extra.

We had a great stay at the hotel and spa day. This is the second time I stayed in the hotel and the staff were as helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help
4.2
Friendly staff, comfy bed and a spacious garden room. Access to the spa facilities was excellent. Breakfast buffet is well stocked and good variety.

Wonderful hotel with great staff, look forward to revisiting soon.
4.2
The hotel is very exhausted and understaffed. Our stay was very uncomfortable, and it felt like we were staying in a hostel.
4.2
Our room was spacious and very well equipped. All seemed clean and well maintained.
As it was our first stay at Careys Manor we were not aware of the outside, patio space available on the lower floor. However we were able to leave the large juliet balcony window open all night on the first floor and enjoy the fresh air.
Breakfast was delicious and staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.
4.2
Felt very tired, especially the spa facilities. Definitely not worth the price paid. Our initial room was next to the spa and there was such a loud droning noise that we asked to be moved. The second room was fine but hot, with zero ventilation and an ineffectual bathroom fan.
4.2
Staff were very helpful. Room was lovely as was the breakfast. Great location too

We had a lovely stay for a long weekend. The staff were friendly and attentive. The spa treatments were amazing, the food in the Thai restaurant was lovely.
The only downside was the room above ours decided to be awake and stomp around above our head at 5.30am on Tuesday morning. A little more consideration for other guests would have been nice!
4.2
Wonderful place but the bathroom was tired and needed maintenance. Drains blocked and smell given off.

Great place to stay great choices of menus and resteraunt tia very good

Perfect setting for our mum and daughter spa trip. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Gorgeous rooms and nice selection of gins.
4.2
We had a nice room and parking was included so we didn’t incur any fees to park which was good. We were there for a wedding and the venue, food and service were great!
4.2
It was beautifully relaxing, amazing spa massage treatment and pool area.
A few updares on going a bit greener would be nice, less plastic bottles etc but thats not a slight on the hotel, its a beautiful place and super relaxing!
4.2
Amazing stay for the weekend
4.2
Lovely stay and excellent service and staff brilliant Will return and have been a few times in the past. Would highly recommend the Thai restaurant, breakfasts very nice

The bar service could be improved: the bar man wasn't a bit grumpy and table clearing was lax

Lovely weekend

Good service from the moment we pulled up to check in. Excellent food in both the Cambium and the French restaurant. Great Spa with excellent treatments.

Stayed for a wedding, beautiful location, great venue. Hotel room was very large with super king bed. Staff were very friendly and food was amazing.

We stayed for one night for a spa break. We rarely leave public reviews but on this occasion it feels like the only opportunity to give the hotel some feedback. From planning our trip to when we left, we experienced many episodes of miscommunication or lack of communication, confusion and small inconveniences which added up to a less than relaxing stay. There were discrepancies in the information given by the spa reception and reservations team about availability of spa treatment slots, and by the hotel and spa receptions about how we should coordinate check out/use of spa changing rooms (we had treatments booked at 10.30am on the day of check out, check out time is 11), the facial treatment did not match the online description, no information given to us that 2 out of 3 restaurants were closed on the night of our stay, no information given that the zen garden restaurant only serves a limited spa set menu at lunch and not a la carte. Pool area tired and not that clean. Could only get a dinner booking at Cambium at 9pm online. I left a message to ask if we could have an earlier table as I’m 7 months pregnant and it’s difficult to eat that late. Nobody responded. In the end, we went to the restaurant at 8.15pm. It was not busy and we were seated immediately. In the rooms, our bed base lacked a valance so the first thing we noticed was an ugly fire resistant tag. The patio chairs were dirty (clumps of moss). Staff are friendly, polite and helpful but the management is lacking.

Outstanding from arrival until departure 2 days later. We had a wonderful room with four poster bed, enjoyed a different restaurant each night with great food and service. The spa was very enjoyable and the upgrade to the Senspa certainly worth buying. The staff throughout were exceptional, and breakfast was excellent. We are already checking calendars for our next visit.
