Lovely quiet setting. Very close to the beach. Great restaurant. Beautiful gardens. Very helpful and charming staff although, by the pool, sometimes hard to find staff or towels.
A pack of hotel information in the room would have been useful - restaurant times/bar times/telephone number for reception & room service/local facilities etc.

Amazing hotel with fantastic personnel. The attention received is extraordinary. We felt so welcome by all staff, we are already considering going back next year.

Nestled between the majestic Mount Etna and the splendid Taormina, Castello di San Marco is a baroque jewel by the sea. Dating back to 1689, this princely residence juts out into the infinite blue waters, offering a timeless blend of history, tradition, and Sicilian culture.
š° Elegance and Tranquility: The castleās tranquil exteriors and softly lit interiors create an ideal atmosphere for romantic and relaxing holidays. The 28 elegant suites, nestled in the park surrounding the main building, provide a luxurious retreat.
Fine Dining: Indulge in culinary passion at the āGiardino di Pietraā restaurant. Here, Sicilian cuisine meets gourmet sophistication, with a menu inspired by local flavors and sustainability ethos. Donāt miss the organic vegetable garden tended with ancient methods.
šāāļø Swimming Pool and Private Beach: Just 50 meters from the sea, the magnificent swimming pool beckons. Imagine lounging by the water, with the private beach and terrace at your fingertips.
š¾ Tennis and More: Beyond relaxation, enjoy the tennis court, wine lounge with an impressive selection of 250 fine wines, and the Mediterranean park.
The Murabito family, steeped in Sicilian tradition, extends a warm welcome to every guest. At Castello di San Marco, authenticity is the currency, and genuine smiles accompany sincere hospitality. Come experience a stay that transcends mere accommodationāa symphony of emotion and beauty. āŗļø

Quite wonderful setting, fabulous large clean pool, very helpful efficient personnel in every department. Excellent restaurant food.

The hotel is wonderful, set in beautiful grounds, very close to an enormously long, albeit unguarded and not well-maintained beach.
Convenient for trips to Taormina and Mount Etna, but set on a quiet and secluded area.
The restaurant on site is nice, and the one across the road by the beach is great, with friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices.

It was perfect

We had a wonderful and unique stay at this renewed castle, converted to a boutique, high standard hotel. Beautiful and classy garden for breakfast included and luxurious dinner if booked. Amazing large pool overlooking the beach. An easy, 20 minute drive from Taormina. One point had to be taken off, sadly, due to the queen bed mattress which felt small and a bit squeeky and not perfect maintenance of bathroom. Other than that - truly a magical experience reflecting the vibe of romantic Sicily.

Our only regret was we couldnāt stay for longerā¦

Interesting property that may have been a destination for the locals, but seems to be not well-kept, with many areas seem to be a work area that is not well kept. The bar was very nice but the SPA did not look very appealing with a large white chair lef at the entrance for no obvious reason. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the restaurant staff we very nice, too.

Hotel and grounds are beautiful, service was wonderful. Itās far from Taormina - transport is very expensive and can be delayed in the busy summer.
Lighting in the room lounge area was subdued, and little things like bathroom and tea supplies were not replenished. It should be possible to have a fresh towel at the beach and pool if needed. These are little details but prevented a 5 star rating for this 5 star hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and super enjoyable, just like the beach. This was good, as was the restaurant, because there is nothing good around that is nearby. That's why you live in the hotel and it's very nice and enjoyable.

Excellent location in an amazing oasis.
Ambience and atmosphere like a 5 star resort.

we really enjoyed our stay in this superbly renovated castle. World class accommodation in a spacious room, exceptional swimming pool. The restaurant Giardino di Pietra has to be tried for a gourmet dinner while the Wine Bar Il Palmento can not be missed.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area but close to the main town and to the beach. The staff is very friendly and responsive to any question

Nice setting, next to the beach, immaculate grounds.
Given the price, breakfast could be more substantial.
Overall a good choice if in the area.

Nice place with friendly stuff. Very picturesque. Far from anywhere, so car is a must. Breakfast could be better, no cheese or meat cuts served (in Sicily!!). As we were there, they continued repairs they could not complete off season. I would recommend.

Incredibly peaceful atmosphere and gorgeous grounds. The staff is very very nice, helpful and accommodating. Many different styles of rooms are available and all very different.

We loved that the Castello San Marco was a little bit away from the main city of Taormina. The grounds are beautiful, (many weddings take place there, you could tell it would be a beautiful setting) the rooms very nice, clean and comfortable, and great amenities like a pool, restaurant and wine bar. We dined at the restaurant and it was one of our favorite meals of our trip to Sicily. It was also very child friendly, the staff was very accommodating for us and our daughter. I would love to stay again some day in the future.

The food was fabulous. The rooms
are a little dark but had all the amenities. The spa treatments and the spa in itself were not good.
Furthermore when we complained they told the masseuse who then
confronted us. We thought this was very unprofessional.
We had to leave at 5 am and there
was nobody to help with our luggage.
We were told we had to do it ourselves.
It is also very isolated from anywhere.

Great hotel but in a remote location.

We were amazed with this hotel. The room was big with separate bedroom. The grounds were massive with little gardens everywhere. Big pool. Wonderful spa. The massage therapist was very good. Very good restaurant with high quality food. Just outside the gate was the beach with a wonderful little restaurant with pizza and other Italian dishes at good price. Parking was secure. We can't say enough good about the hotel and staff. Will go back.

Lovely castle in beautiful grounds, the room was large and spacious. Breakfast was lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel offers pretty much all you can ask for and if you didn't want to leave the grounds you could easily relax here for the duration of your stay.

Bungalow rooms set in a lush, green garden, with a lovely pool (with its own outdoor restaurant), and a short walk to a long, stony beach with magnificent views of Etna. The staff were incredibly sweet, and seemed to really want us to have a good time. In October, it was quiet and peaceful, although the hotel was full. The breakfast was lavish, and the two meals we had - in the pool restaurant and the main restaurant - very good, with interesting local dishes and produce from the hotels own garden.

I had the most amazing stay and couldn't fault a thing! The food and wine selection is one of the best I've had in the restaurant and absolutely loved the surrounded gardens and swimming pool. The service at the bar and restaurant was just superb. I wished I could stay longer and enjoy so much more of this unique stay. I would recommend renting a car if you are staying at the hotel as it is set in a remote location with Taormino centre being a 10-15min drive. The grounds and swimming pool was kept clean and although the pool was heated we still enjoyed it. I would definitely be coming back here to celebrate a special occasion and on the weekend we were there, there was a beautiful wedding taking place which made me want to be married here in the near future! :)

lovely pool and gardens. Very nice staff. Dining room a bit gloomy and dark..no windows really which is a shame when lovely and sunny outside. Dinner quite good but on the expensive side. Bedrooms a long way and again rather gloomy as all dark brown furniture and furnishings
