Well right off the start, they stick you with a unexpected $50 deposit regardless of having prepaid online or not, the room was not clean, my kids found old candy under the couch, pool was cold, hot tub luke warm. Not much for the kids to do in the shallower end, basically only the slides. The room was nice and spacious but the heat/ac had a horrible smell. Breakfast was 6-9am, food was OK, but they started taking it out of the line about 8:45, even while families and kids were still entering to grab something quick.. staff was rude, made you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Overall I would not recommend it or try it again. This was the 2nd time being disappointed. Check out the other 2 water parks if you’re looking for a water park. You definitely get what you pay for…

Booked a split queen ended up in a split double. Not world ending but 2 teenage girls in a double and 2 adults in another is a lot tighter than what I would like

Our family of five styed for one night over MEA wknd. waterpark was a lot of fun!
Rooms could use a bit of updating. Beds were uncomfortable as were the pillows. Loud mattress protectors. We did enjoy our stay ultimately just a few suggestions regarding the rooms/beds.

Not so good. We were put in a room next to very noisy kids. The front desk was notified but no change by 10:30 pm. Started again at 7:00 am. More awareness at the front desk would be helpful - but we will never return.

Check in was horrible. Made me late to a work dinner. Did not show a reservation for me and made me pay again even with the receipt I had prepaid from Hotels.com. After dinner I checked in with a different person who found the reservation on Expedia. Apparently it comes to them that way and the first person was unaware of that. The next day they refunded my money. The worse part is I could not locate a Hotels.com phone number to call when my reservation was missing. The chat bot sucks. I have had this happen in the past and always had a good phone response with Hotels.com customer service. Since the change this company has really gone downhill and I will no longer be booking through this site. The Lodge was fine but I was only there for a brief overnight stay. By the way the rate at the Lodge was $93 versus the $130 I paid on this site. And that was using some of my points. So much for a discount!

Waterpark was a nice option but only open for 3 hours. Rooms were not the cleanest and our microwave didn't work.

Everything was ok. till we went to eat and only the bar was open. Loud, yelling men at the bar made eating and conversing impossible. Then we had a long day and needed to sleep. They put children up on the 4th floor and we were on the 3rd. The noise and stopping back and forth continually in the room above us till midnite. We only got like 5 hrs of sleep and had to be on our way. Breakfast was no good, freezer burn on some frozen little sausage patties, the so called microwave omlets were like paper with peppers in. Bad breakfast. I would never return and the price for such conditions was ridiculous. Sorry for such a rotten review, but it was bad.

Our pull out bed had urine and poop on it. Beds were uncomfortable, mold on the vents, bartender didn’t know how to make a single drink

Very Good and Great Water Park😊😍

Rooms very dated, need new sofa and chairs in living room very worn down. Both mattresses need to be replaced, leaning and dipping. Room was clean, very quite despite having a waterpark near by. Continental breakfast very good !!!!

scheduled trip with my grandchildren and chose this location due to water park. It was beautiful and amazing. Suite was great, clean, and comfortable.

Hotel needs a deep clean. Hotel staff lack customer service skills.
Evening Dining staff was great.

Over priced, very dated, and only one waffle maker for ALL the families with kids?! The free breakfast was ‘fine’ if you didn’t mind wandering thru the property to find it and then, once there, investigating all the different restaurant nooks to find the different stations for the pieced together breakfast. The water ‘park’ was a joke! Would have been better with a regular pool.

It was a good place to stay.

The bathroom in our room was not cleaned well - the vents which were easily within cleaning reach had sooo much dust and the shower had several old pieces of hair in it. Give me a duster and I would have dusted it myself and it would have taken 30 seconds maximum. The room seemed clean enough but with a lot of missing scrapes of paint on the wall. It was nice the restaurant was on site and the food was good - the continental breakfast very standard and average for a free hotel meal. Water park was okay- pretty chilly actually and the “lifeguards” spent alot of time looking down at their phones

Was a great spot for a budget friendly family stay. The water park is really fun! The rooms are nice and the staff is friendly.

Location is good, property needs the owners to put some money into it and fix all the broken items throughout the property.

This hotel was terrible, under staffed. When I checked in I said I would only be staying 1 night the front desk staff was very unfriendly, didn't know how to do her job. And on top of it they charged me for my complete booking, even though I only stayed 1 night. So don't stay here terrible management go to another location in Brainerd there is plenty others to choose from!!!! On top of it very dirty.

The whole place could use refreshing and the front desk needs some serious customer relations training.

Waited for 10-15 min for someone to come to the front desk and check us in. Wasn’t very friendly. Asked about upgrading and the cost, he told me since I booked online there was no way he’d be able to do that. Handed me my keys and never told us about anything in the hotel (where the elevator is located, what time breakfast is served, etc.). TVs are old and dim. Bedding has been washed 5,000 times too many it rough and pilly, pillows are like bricks. At least it was a clean place to sleep for the night.

We had a nice stay overall! The water park is great for small kids.

Interesting traditional “up north” decor. Parking lot was clean and convenient. However, our room was sub-par. The tile directly in front of the toilet was cracked and loose, right where you would put your feet. The shower diverter only half worked. Carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. A large water bottle from a previous guest was beside the bed, and the sink was dirty.

We had a great stay here. It was the perfect hotel to stay at with our three kids (4, 2 and 0). Our older two absolutely loved the waterpark! The restaurant is great for grabbing lunch or dinner. The room was a good size and clean. No real complaints!

Nice setting
Needed a bit of a face lift. Very dark

Excellent Stay. Centrally located to all the Brainerd Lakes.

Not very clean—dead bugs on window sill—dusty. Pool area needed to be vacuumed and repainted. Lifeguards on phones. The hotel caters to large groups of school-aged groups and the front desk does not enforce quiet in the halls. Complaints about noise were ignored and we were told we’d need to wait for them to go to bed. Front staff was very apathetic and not very friendly. Won’t be back.

The staff was very unfriendly. Slow and didn't know the property. It took 20 minutes to get checked in and we were the only ones there. Asked if they had a handicapped accessible room and neither agent didn't know what ut was. Bed was very uncomfortable and lumpy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would suggest the kitchen in the bar stay open a little later on Saturday, at least a limited menu (like pizza).

We’ll set up room. Our only problem was that there were lots of teen girls filling the hotel for a dance event. That made the halls crowded, but it was fine.
