We were greeted happily. Instructions were clear, they spoke well in english! Our room was nice and clean. I was disappointed that the fridge didnt come with water bottles. Bathroom was equipped properly and clean. A few scratches/bumps and stains on the wall. I was displeased with our room location, right beside the elevator, so you can hear people and the "ding" sound of the elevator. All in all, I'd still come back to this hotel, I'd probably request my room to be away from the elevator.

The hotel was beautiful, with stone walls in our room. Unfortunately, our room was directly above the trash and recycled receptacles and the staff were regularly dumping bottles into the cans and the trash was picked up early.

It was comfortable to access to old Quebec city. and lot of restaurant too. my room has kitchen. it was nice.
4.6
Excellent customer service at front desk
4.6
Close to the old city and close to cruise ship docks. Rooms are spacious and clean. The attached restaurant is a winner as well.
4.6
The back of the hotel was very noisy with traffic and trucks and a gas station. Couldn’t leave the windows open for fresh air at night.
Restaurant Louise attached is excellent but expensive. Lots of good little restaurants, nearby easy walking to the tram up the hill.

the people on reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

Great hotel in slightly less busy part of old town. Would very much recommend it. Friendly helpful staff. Walkable to everywhere!

It was very clean and nice. Very charming. Good location along the waterfront. I wish I could have opened the windows a little to get some fresh air.

The staff was amazing- friendly, efficient, competent, helpful. We were surprised to get a room upgrade, have our bags automatically taken to the room after we arrived very early to check in, and were given a 72 hour bus pass gratis. The take out at the adjacent Louise restaurant was great. Can not say enough good things about this hotel and staff. Great location as well with a reasonable walk to lower old town Quebec City and easy access to a bus line to reach the upper old town area.
4.6
Excellent location for pre-cruise stay. Check in went extremely well. Danick and Anoine were friendly and informative. Would definitely stay here again.
4.6
The staff was helpful and kind, making us feel very welcome. My husband and I were there to celebrate our 20th anniversary. However, our room on the main level offered no privacy. We couldn’t open the curtains because people walking by could see directly into our room. Perhaps rooms on the upper floors provide a better experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

Great place and super convenient to the local amenities

Really cool, 1bedroom style suite in a great location near Old Quebec. Very walk-able and convenient. Hotel staff is great and the Host/Concierge are the funniest and most friendly I have ever seen! Parking is additional cost and limited, we got a space on day 1 and didn't move our car til we left. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very close to restaurant and shopping center

It is a small hotel conveniently located near the port and is a short walk from many tourist attractions. We arrived way before the official check-in time. The staff were very helpful in holding our luggages and then placed them in our room when it was ready. We also received a call to let us know when the room became available. Our room was of a decent size and has a small kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and cooktops. Even though the building is a bit old, we did not hear much noise from the street below or our neighbors. We only stayed there for one night and wished longer:).

Excelent location ! The hotel is beautiful, well equiped and the crew is kind and very helpful !

Staff was amazing at check in, much appreciated

Helpful and friendly staff, ideal location close to restaurants & shops. Parking lot was under construction and tricky to access.
4.6
Such friendly staff at the front desk and a really nice room. Right in the midst of all the cute shops and restaurants.

Hotel Port Royal was a convenient place to stay. However, there was construction all around the parking lot and street. The young gentleman that checked us in was rude. I booked my room way before the others we were traveling with booked their 2 other rooms. They are Canadians and got to check in at 11 am. The clerk was rude to me and said he couldn't guarantee my room until 4pm. Even though we were all together and I had booked my room long before them. I knew it was because we were Americans. Our rooms were all standard, so it's not like they couldn't have given me one of the others. The rooms looks more boutique online. But when we got there it was just the exposed brick wall that made it look unique.

I was actually really disappointed with our stay here. I had booked a weekend away for my husbands 30th birthday, when we arrived at the hotel there was a power cut due to the storm which I appreciate is just one of those things. However, the floor and furniture in the room were damaged and worn. The flooring had massive gaps in between the boards and part of it was sticking upwards, which cut my foot. I informed the hotel to which they said they would make note. My mother in law also had called ahead to get flowers and Prosecco in the room for our arrival, $241 for a small bunch of flowers and bottle of fizz seems extremely excessive.
I had high hopes for this hotel as it was recommended by my parents that had a wonderful time.

Nice place to stay when visiting Old Quebec. Restaurant on site is very good.

Amazing stay

Not the worth the cost. Nice staff and decent location. Not impressed with the hotel itself.
4.6
Wonderful property. Walkable to everything. The restaurant was fantastic. Hallways and bathrooms were a bit dated and the elevator stopped working, but not a big deal. Will stay again.
4.6
Bed sheets were soiled and stained. Room was size was ok but directly at street level with heavy traffic, not possible to open curtains without everyone seeing into the room.
When front desk was made aware of the dirty bedsheets the next day, they were changed for new ones and the noisy/squeaky bathroom door hinges were fixed also. Would have been nice that everything was done before we got the room. Apart from that, the adjoining restaurant (Taverne Louise) serves an incredible breakfast/brunch that we highly recommend. The hotel spot is also perfect if you want to walk around Old Quebec city.

The hotel staff and the lady manager was so so kind and did their best to make our stay to be so nice. They gave us an upgraded room for our birthday celebrations. It’s was a very nice spacious room with a view of the courtyard around as if we were in Europe Italy.
The manager went out of all her efforts to make our stay so warm .
Thank you for all your hospitality

The hotel was close to many different restaurants, close to the St. Lawrence River, and to shopping. I walked everywhere once i arrived by taxi from the airport. If visiting in the summer, this hotel doesn't have a pool but across the road is public swimming it looked like with lifeguards, chairs, along with sections for lap swimming and lounge/ horseplay kid swimming. This is not a pool but sectioned off in the river. From where the hotel is, its busy but not as busy like the hotel areas of Old Quebec area.

Bed was too soft.

Gym could be updated.

Great location and dog friendly room. The hotel was so quiet and bed so comfortable. Also a nice Prosecco surprise in the room.
4.6
Room had an iron but I couldn’t find an ironing board. Expected a mini fridge but there wasn’t. Beautiful rug but it needed cleaning. Fairly quiet, comfortable bed and linens, beautiful bathroom with both a large shower and soaking tub. Nicely decorated with blackout shades. Ice was in the other building.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Port Royal and were very happy with the stay. The rooms had kitchens which came in very handy and the staff were all very pleasant. The location is a bit further away from all the main hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to the main areas. The only minor issues are the limited parking (there’s public parking across the street) and the walls were a bit thin. We would most definitely stay here again.

The concierge was efficient, friendly and amazing.
The location of the hotel was so convenient and had many lovely restaurants close by.

Although this hotel was at the bottom of a hill where most of the tourist oriented properties were on the top of the hill, I loved this hotel…parking was right in front of the hotel…front desk personnel great…small breakfast place nearby was open at 0600 so I had a great breakfast after a morning walk…

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great location!
