Wonderful historic Hotel & wonderful staff who spoke excellent English for us. Thank you

Although located at a busy road, the room was absolutely silent. Hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art double window!

terrible place please stay away

Great location in the city center.
Room amenities below the 4star rating.

Excellent hotel. Very very clean. Service was super. Will come back for sure.

Very nice property just a couple of blocks from the main pedestrian area. We stays in the apartment, which was spacious and well thought-out: there were plenty of spaces to put things down, towel bars/hooks (there are never any in most places!), conveniently located shelves, etc. - all of which are minor, but very welcome when one travels with a lot of stuff, kids, etc. Separate bedroom was, of course, a big plus.

The staff were so helpful. Gave appropriate recommendations and directions. Hotel is located at a tram stop and is 10 minutes from the main train station. Lots of dining options close and short walk to old town area. Will return if I’m back Graz.

Lovely place. Beautiful breakfast. Staff very welcoming. Unfortunately for me the room was overly warm.
4.0
Pleasant one night stay in a large room with a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Short walk to restaurants and shopping.

5* for everything. Only negative thing is that their car park costs. €17. As we arrived very late didn’t really had chance to park elsewhere and also didn’t know there was a charge, also did not expect to pay that much either

The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Great value for money.
Could be improved by the addition of serving food through the day too and not just at breakfast.

Hotel is OK, I was only a bit disappointed about the breakfast (food bought from the Lidl supermarket, at least some locally-produced food - e. g. juices or apples - would be good to have)

Great room, good breakfast, good location

Great location. Went there in October which was unusually warm and the AC was not available. Room was very warm and staff wouldn't turn on AC. And opening the window wasn't an option because of the street noise. Other than that the room itself was very nice, clean and in a fantastic location.

Modern and very comfortable room. Air conditioning very good and very important since it was very hot.

When I arrived in my room I realized their wasn’t any air conditioning. It was an unusually warm day and the room was facing the sun so it was pretty warm. I asked the direction and they moved me to a garden room, didn’t have air conditioning but away from the sun and street noise. The following day they were able to upgrade me to a larger and air conditioned room. Great location and great customer service!

Close to old city and plenty of eating places. Staff very helpful. Only complaint was the supply of toiletries which had to be continually asked for..

The beds very uncomfortable. Very hard to sleep on them.

This is a nice hotel with a very helpful staff. My stay was quite pleasant and trouble-free.

Great hotel , great location , good bus and tram connections
3.0
It was nice hotel but not to the standard I would have expected of a 4 star. The bedroom was adequate though the clear glass walls and door were odd so that anyone can see you in the bathroom, even through the window. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. Impossible to have the window open at night because I couldn't close the curtains

Hotel was very easy to get to by tram from the railway station. Everything you need is within walking distance, and should you need to get around, for me the tram was the way, as several tram lines go through Jakominiplatz right next to the hotel.
The staff was incredibly helpful and nice, and they spoke very good English. The rooms were tidied every day, and the cleanliness level overall was high. There were some free toiletries, mainly soap and shower gel, but no shampoo nor conditioner. I did not try the hotel breakfast, but there are many bakeries nearby where you can have breakfast.
All in all, I would stay in this hotel again, if I ever was to visit Graz again. Hopefully I will!

Graz, a city rich in history, architecture & design, in Summer, becomes alive with affordable outdoor eateries, cycling & walking opportunities to explore the multitude of cultural venues. Our hotel was within steps of popular shopping destinations, affordable eats & a crossroads of the electric trolley transit system; perfect for people watching while having a cappuccino, grenadine or beer! 2 must food n drink stops within minutes of one another include fresh bakery AUER & chic bar & tapas M

Golner hotel has a great tram and bus connection to the whole city. Friendly and helpful staff . Clean modern rooms . Recomended hotel .

The "business double" was spacious and comfortable. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable -- nice to be in a smaller hotel, walkable around the historic district. Would love it if they had a hotpot of some sort in the room so that we could heat water to make coffee or tea, but that's the only improvement I would suggest.

Location to pedestrian area is good.
Room was very warm with 60-70 degrees out. Had windows open for ventilation but the street noise was terrible. Lost more hours of sleep than had sleep. Stay away from tram side of building. Service was exceptional. Common areas were spotless.

My second stay at Hotel Gollner after 4 stays at another hotel... so my expectations were that it compared favourably. All was very nice, including a refurbished bathroom... but no bath and a very impersonal bedroom with no fridge and very small armchairs either side of a disproportionally big coffee table.Bottom line: doesnt compare favourably to my previous hotel through lack of what I would call personal touch/attention to detail. Breakfast is €15.50, which, for a light eater like me, is just not good value for money so I had breakfast out.Great staff and location though but, overall, for what I paid, it was fine rather than great.

Great staff and location. Older hotel, but very nice and large rooms.

The hotel have very good located, very good breakfast and a excellent staff .

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a charge for parking the car, but seeing that the streets were parked solid, it was an essential and probably no more than 24 hour parking elsewhere in town.
We liked the central location of this hotel. We walked to a show one night and went shopping all around town on foot without any problems. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel.
4.0
The good: Great location, very clean, friendly staff, good food and coffee at breakfast, free wifi, a sense of the history of the place.
The not so good: Double bed but only single duvet, small towels, no gym or pool..

We loved the city but our bed, the noisy street and how hot our room was made it less then wonderful.

Everything was nice about this hotel. I had a very good and comfortable stay !

Hotel Gollner is completely delightful with bright, clean rooms and nice lighting. It is located in a quiet area of the city proper. Very easy strolling to the river and the main pedestrian walk. There is a pleasant little outdoor patio in the upper floor. There is a 24h little cafe/bar space, which is both inviting and convenient. Would I return? Definitely. Very welcoming staff.

I stayed in many hotels, hostels and guesthouses during my trip through Europe. Hotel Gollner was recommended by Rick Steves and he was dead on. Great hotel, great staff, easy to get to location (just up from Jackominiplatz which is a major switching location for the buses and light rail). I will stay there again next time I'm in Graz.

Quick and easy check in. Front of house staff very friendly and helpful - multilingual. Breakfast very good - good selection. Parrot is very entertaining. Rooms very clean and comfy. Only has CNN in english on t.v. rest of channels Austrian. Christmas markets very good and the snow made the trip.
5.0
Family owned and operated. The service was second to none. I will be back. I get to Graz on a semi regular basis and this was a great place to stay. Very homey very warm.

Nice hotel, nice staff, intersting part of town
2.0
The hotel was very nice, in a central position to the town, and easy to find from the bus stop from the airport.
The room was really good and spacious, with a funky shower and bathroom taps that had lights built into them to make the water change colour!
The breakfast was very good, excellent choice and range of food available.
