Summer travelers BEWARE. The AIR CONDITIONING in this hotel is a joke! (And I had difficulty booking another hotel from here after one night here because the wi-fi sucks as well.) Staff is very nice, parking is good.

Staff was very attentive and friendly…especially the nice woman who checked us in at 9:30 pm to on Saturday night. There’s a very decent pizzeria and pasta ristorante right below the hotel that was serving at 10 pm, also with an excellent staff. Breakfast was worth the 8-9 euros and was quite pleasant…so all round excellent.

The staff were amazing. I was here because my daughter had a medical emergency while in Italy studying abroad. The staff went out of there way to meet my needs and even provided me with snacks to take to the hospital.

Second stay here. They are consistently good. Room is spacious with outstanding housekeeping(Rosie cleaned our room, she is awesome). Breakfast was good ( dining staff were so nice). Front desk professional and helpful. Live the balcony rooms. Bathrooms are large and clean. Will stay again for sure!

We had a pleasant experience at the hotel. The breakfasts were fantastic, but it would have been nice to have a cup of tea or coffee in the afternoons, and there is no provision for that. No coffee/tea maker in rooms.

Disappointing customer service prior to check-in with a complete lack of flexibility in the time of COVID. Check-in took nearly 30 mins as the hotel had cancelled the booking without telling us. Partner and I were both bitten at night while sleeping (during ten days in Italy, this ONLY happened on the two nights staying at this hotel). The adjustments to Breakfast because of COVID meant the meal was VERY basic and the safety measures taken felt mainly cosmetic. The decor is in severe need to attention (wall paper in the dining room was peeling). Location is lacking any charm or convenience. No tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Linen only provided for one person in a double room.

The hotel is in good condition and the staff were excellent. We had the buffet breakfast which provided considerable choice. We paid a little extra for the on-site parking. The location is not ideal for tourists wanting to see the sights of Viterbo or for walking distance dine out choices.

The room was large with an incredibly comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and modern with a powerful shower. Parking was easy in their on-site car park. The bar could have been better stocked. Good for a 1 night stopover, but a little too far out of Viterbo for a longer stay.

Very nice stay in Viterbo overall. Plenty of historic places to visit. The museums were not crowded. Taxi service around the city is very efficient and reasonably priced. Very safe to walk around at all hours.

Outside centre around 100 km north east of Rome. Thermal baths and bus station close by hotel. Lake Bolsena not too distant with protected natural surround. Pilgrim's way long distance path connects to Rome. For those interested in camping there good sites. From hotel it is a good walk into Viterbo's old part of city centre, but interesting place with much of medieval core standing. Where sensible shoes. It is hilly. There are many steps and uneven surfaces. Where there are paths, these are in poor condition. Most local roads have poor surfaces and driving is very aggressive. Not all places are open in March and it can be cold and breezy, especially . Main rail connection is at Orte which is on high speed line and has stopping service to main Rome Fiumicino without need to got to Rome Termini. Local rail services in Viterbo are on single track branch line.

We could not believe the service we received for the price we paid. It was exceptional! The full breakfast in the morning was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The staff was very professional and helpful. We cannot say enough about our stay at the Best Western in Viterbo! GRAZIE for the kind welcome and exceptional service.
