Such a beautiful property and the staff was amazing. We felt like we were staying with family. Very quiet and private. The perfect getaway when you need to unplug.

I had the privilege of staying at the Badia Di Pomaio in Tuscany, and I can confidently say it was a truly spectacular experience. From the moment my wife, our best friends, and I arrived, we were met with impeccable service that rivaled the likes of the Four Seasons and the Ritz, but with a level of personalization that exceeded our expectations.
The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff at Badia Di Pomaio went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was flawless. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our every need made us feel like royalty.
The hotel itself is a gem nestled in the picturesque Tuscan countryside, offering breathtaking views that seem like they’re straight out of a postcard. The beauty of the surroundings, combined with the elegant and historic ambiance of the property, created a magical atmosphere that was simply enchanting.
What truly set Badia Di Pomaio apart was the staff’s dedication to making our stay unforgettable. Whether it was arranging a private wine tasting at a local vineyard, recommending hidden gems for us to explore, or preparing exquisite meals with locally sourced ingredients, every moment was curated to perfection.
Our time at Badia Di Pomaio was nothing short of extraordinary, and we left with a profound desire to return. If you’re seeking an unforgettable escape this is your spot. There aren’t enough incredible things to say.

Absolutely magically beautiful very private property on the top of the heel with amazing views. Exceptional check in and service. Very spacious, and smartly designed rooms with adorable decor and high end toiletries. Plenty of closet place. Delicious quality food from morning to evening. Some items are home made from the hotel’s garden. Yelena and the team (Mario,David and Rosa to name a few) are so welcoming and warm, you feel like you are visiting your relatives. In the meantime it’s a very private and quiet place where you can have full relaxation without being bothered by crowds or noise. Will miss this special place and the best service.

A dream property set high on a hilltop in Tuscany. Excellent service and architecture and design like a magazine. A gem!

Our stay was simply fantastic, the two nights I was hoping for. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The villa itself was exquisite. And the food... delicious! We had dinner at the property both nights, as well as breakfast, and were so impressed by staff and food. Thank you for an amazing stay... we’ll be back!

Close to perfection! Beautiful newly renovated estate with stunning interior design, beautiful garden, great infinity pool with looks over the Arezzo valey. The staff was super friendly and the food was divine.

Stunning setting, old monastery high up on the high. Beautiful and quiet, lovely pool, excellent dinner (we ate outside every night). Its high atop Arezzo so nice and cool at night. Our room had air-co but with the fan and cool nights, we never had it on even though the days were in the 90s.

The hotel building, grounds, pool and view are all fantastic but we were disappointed with the rooms. The building was originally an abbey so we werent expecting massive rooms but the double we booked for 3 nights was tiny by any standards (we were given room 12, Lavanda). Although it had a double bed in it there was barely room to move around at all and in reality it was a small single room and should have been sold as such. We asked to be moved but were told that all of the rooms were the same size. The following morning we found this not to be the case when we looked into a room that was being cleaned and found it to be much bigger. We were then moved later that day to a bigger room but it seemed to be more due to the efforts of the cleaning lady rather than the management.Other than the room issue the hotel is very clean, good facilities and offers a great place to have a secluded break as it is situated way up on a hill in the woods away from civilisation but its only a 15 minute drive down to Arezzo where there are plenty of restaurants and we were fortunate to find the jousting festival taking place. An unusual feature is the regular appearance of the wild boars that are quite happy to forage in the hotel grounds almost unaware of the guests!Although we didnt have dinner in the hotel restaurant, we had breakfast there and it was very good with plenty of choice. All in all a lovely place but the room problem soured the experience for us.

We booked this hotel because we were attracted to the amenities (pool, free parking and restaurant). While it is quite out of the way we still enjoyed the location as it overlooked the city of Arezzo and was quite peaceful. Alessandro the manager was wonderful and responsive to our specific requests while the restaurant waiter was very moody and not particularly friendly. The room was large but lacked sitting furniture and proper lighting, and was quiet. Screens in windows kept bugs out and allowed to sleep with the windows opened. We would recommend this hotel for short stays especially with nice weather (nice pool area).

We stayed 2 nights in this old Monastery hideaway and overall enjoyed our stay. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and thought the food was good, which is a bonus because the Hotel is located on a hillside above Arezzo with no other restaurants close by. Staff were pleasant & attentive. There is no proper bar area which is a pity, but this presumably would not be an issue most of the time because you can sit outside on the terrace most of the year and enjoy the fabulous views. Weather just was not great when we were there. The pool looks great and well maintained - just a little too cold in May!We stayed in Room #18 and overall it is not up to 4* standard, especially the bathroom which was not great.Nonetheless, overall, we would recommend this Hotel, with its magnificent setting overlooking Arezzo.

We visited in November, which is probably not the best time to stay here, unless you are looking to get away from the city and for solitude. It is an historic stone building, which some find charming; others might be disappointed, as it lacks some of the modern conveniences found in glitzier hotels. The owners were very nice and upgraded us to a bigger, very private room. There was a problem with the heat and no hot water. But they cheerfully reduced the price and gave us the option of cancelling the second night without penalty. The breakfast was excellent and we could hear an owl at night. Would return in warmer weather next time.

Lovely pool, views and very helpful staff. No restaurant for evening meant travelling some way to find an evening meal.

In an attractive old building, but we disliked the owners decorative taste. Good room and breakfast. A nightmare to find at night without a navigation aid.

Everything was splendid .. nothing to say negativly

We cant praise it enough. This will become our haven from now on. Set high in the Tuscan hills above Arezzo, its a perfectly tranquil location. Its about three miles from town and enjoys a fabulous elevated rural position. Its set in generous grounds and has a superb out door pool and patio areas from which to enjoy the stunning scenery. The restaurant is just pure class, as is the service. The rooms are spacious and very clean/well appointed. We cant wait to get back there.

Our stay was wonderful. This is a fantastic place to relax, the view is stunning and the quietness is heavenly. The staff was very useful. You need to be aware of what you are looking for. If you need a party place .. try another place.

This hotel is a restored convent located on top of a hill about 15 minutes up from town. The view is spectacular and the property is amazing. Pros: the breakfast was good, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are modern and the building is full of charm and character. The staff was also very accommodating and courteous. The hotel also has a pool, which we did not use. Cons: the A/C was broken in our room and because its June, the room was hot. They brought us a fan and that made the night bearable. We also found several small spiders throughout our room, which was unpleasant but understandable since the hotel is surrounded by fields.

Big thanks for waiting for us late night checking in. Also Valentina is such a great host. She recommends us where to check out and even offer to plan the tour next time. Rooms are huge and clean. Breakfast is great. Would totally recommend to friends.
