New style Campanile, lovely hotel except for one major flaw. The air conditioning does not actually blow cold air. It just functions as a fan blowing ambient temperature air. It is useless and for such a lovely clean and really excellent renovation. This flaw of a non functioning air conditioning ruined the experience for me. If you are from Northern Europe or anywhere else where sleeping is only possible at cooler temperatures then there is just no point staying in this hotel as you will not be able to sleep at nearly 30 degrees room temperature during summer. I really am amazed because everything else about the hotel is just perfect, it’s unbelievable how much nicer the new style campaniles are compared to the renovated ones from 10 years ago or the original ones before that. Right now it’s like a four start hotel and this is why it so completely disappointing that the air conditioning does not work and only acts as a fan.

I liked the propreté

Lovely staff. Basic but had all the facilities we required for an overnight stay.

Lovely new hotel with good facilities.

The hotel itself is typical Campanile. The restaurant evenings and for breakfast is great. The room was on the back side near the main road and was very loud during the day, but became quiet enough at night.

Property is two-storey block of rooms with passageways passing in front of each room. Wind-down blind to the front provides good privacy and light blocking. Small airport located next door which is noisy during daylight hours. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant provides a good menu and the food is excellent. Location for onward travelling via autoroutes is excellent. Overall a good location for overnight stay.

We had just a one night stopover here and it was ideal.
Check in was nice and easy.
In a motel style where you dont have corridors proved to be very quiet. Room was very clean and tidy.
Didnt get chance to use the restaurant so cant comment on that.

Really suitable for our needs and able to have our dogs with us

Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Some of the room fixtures weren’t working and the extra bed for the child was uncomfortable, but good value overall and would recommend

The hotel is in a business park out of town. There is a bus stop nearby and it is easy and cheap to catch the bus into central Chartres. Odyssee water park is close. Rooms are in an older building but are clean and air-conditioned. Reception and restaurant in a new building and immaculate. We arrived on 14th July, which is a bank holiday. The young staff on duty were very welcoming and efficient. Buffet dinner was available for 2 hours and was very good value for money. Breakfast also good.

I accidentally booked this instead of the cathedral campanile so was disappointed that it was not close to downtown. It was very hot with no real way to cool down inside except opening the window. The staff located extra pillows for us which was nice. Then I found we had only hand towels in the bath which actively repelled water. Overall would likely not choose to stay in this chain again.

We booked this hotel based on 8.0 rating but I would rate it before Motel 6 in US. The hotel is advertised as non smoking but our room smelt like cigarettes. The biggest inconvenience is that they don't have blinds and anyone passing can see what is happening inside the room, there was a semi-transparent cloth for privacy. This hotel is a no no for a family. Is you can't speak French don't even book it even if it's the cheapest hotel. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this hotel like a plague.

Very friendly, helpful staff, who provided an electric heater when the heating system in our room was struggling in the very cold weather (January). Very clean bedroom and ensuite. Comfortable bed and nice hot shower. Good Covid restriction arrangements. A lot of thought had been put into how evening meals and breakfast could be provided. We were offered a tray to take back to our room. We had the choice of 3 main courses and chose a very tasty, nice and hot, pasta carbonara with salad served on a china plate, with proper cutlery, a glass of wine and dessert. The only disadvantage of this hotel is that reception is in a separate building from all the rooms which are in a 2 storey, concrete block with external staircase and all the bedroom doors and windows open directly onto the outside ie. no inside corridors. I felt uneasy that there was nothing to stop anyone from wandering into the car park, approach the bedroom block without reception being aware, try the doors and look directly into the rooms from outside unless you completely wind down the window shutters.

The hotel room was a typical Campanile, always good and always reliable. The downside was the breakfast, a payable option which is really not worth the extra.

Extremely helpful member of staff when our euro tunnel train was delayed by 3.5 hours thank you joel for providing a meal and drinks for us at 11 o/c at night

Excellent experience all round.

Rooms are rather small, it's workable but definitely a tight fit. Nice to have a small bathtub/shower in the room and also the blinds on the window were great and gave a good feeling of security. Lots of restaurants nearby of different price and quality levels, quick connection to the highways too. Busy street in the morning (traffic jams) but thanks to the numerous roundabouts easy enough to get on the road after your stay.

Handy for a stopover before driving to Calais. This was during lockdown so not many hotels are open.

Hotel was good but in a dismal industrial estate with very little of interest within walking distance. Hotels.com Didnt tell us the restaurant was closed for refurbishment when we booked.

Well placed for a stopover and easy to find. Food selection above average cor Campanile chain. Several specials on the hot plate.
2.5
Great stay as we had a car. Room was excellent apart from a fridge which would have been really helpful for cold water etc. Near to a supermarket too. Room was modern, comfortable and well thought out.
2.5
Good location quiet of main road and has a nice bar and restaurant .
4.0
Nice setting with garden. Shower wasn't great as it had to be hand held. The overhead one didn't work.
3.0
Good to have refreshments in the room which not common in low cost hotels. Also finding somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening is not easy in France so its good that theres amrestaurant on site. However, the food was very mediocre and not worth the 20 euros for two courses as "hot buffet" was luke warm and steak practically inedible!

This hotel was exactly what you would expect from a budget overnight stay and would of scored higher if not for a few issues that were disappointing. Positives. The staff were very friendly and attentertive, the food in the restaurant was decent and reasonable price and the room was ok. However negatives . Our shower did not work properly. If you looked closely in the corners and difficult too reach places it was actually a bit grubby in the room. The beds as a twin room were quite narrow. But my biggest dissapointmet was the ants it was quite busy in the room with ants.when I mentioned too the reception staff in the morning the lady said yes we do have a problem with them at the moment I kinda wish I had been told that before I went too bed or been provided with some form of and powder or something. However despite this I will use camponel again and probably this hotel in fact. Its a budget decent overnight stop that gives you a good rest breaking up a long trip.

Useful stop off between S of France and Channel Tunnel. Campanilles provide a Known and acceptable level of service.

Although the hotels appearance did not match the online photo, we were surprised at the space and room facilities, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.it
