The property was extremely Hot!!!!!!!!!!!! They didn’t have any type of air conditioning when you walk into where they have the restaurant and rooms. You have to go up the stairs there’s no elevator because it’s an old home. It would be nice if they would go and turn on the AC unit way before you arrive. They did hold our luggage while we went out and about but unfortunately we had some chocolates we had purchased and they were all melted bcuz they also had the luggage in an area where it wasn’t air conditioning. The employees were nice. We got a room by the Main Street and the noise wasn’t bad at all. I’m just happy it was only for a night. I don’t recommend it. The room
Was small and bathroom as well.

This is a beautiful place to stay at. Walking distance to everything! Staff was very friendly specially Jesus. He was so sweet that he even walked us to a destination near by to show us.

Rooms that faced the street were awfully noisy, and we could not sleep.
On the other hand, we used the valet parking. One day, we couldn't use our car because the valet was not in the hotel and couldn't tell us when he would return. The next day, when we were leaving, they couldn't get the car keys (since they were in the security box and didn't have the keys for the security box). We had a very tight schedule since we were leaving for the airport and needed to return the rented car. They refused to call a locksmith because they couldn't pay for it. After 40 min of looking, they found the keys, and we could leave, but we almost lost our flight. Our stay at this hotel was miserable, a terrible experience.

I had a bad experience with this property. The main reason was that the rooms on the side of the street have a lot of sound of construction (which continues into the night) or general sound street later on, to the point where it's hard to sleep. The room does not have a safe.
My main concern was with the valet parking. One day, we were unable to use the car since the person in charge of it was not around, so we had to spend a significant amount in taxis to make up for it. On the day of check-out, the hotel staff had placed our car key in a safe, and could not find the key to the safe. They were unwilling to call a locksmith, which they should have done at their expense since this was their mistake. We ended up leaving over 40 minutes later than we wanted due to this, until they finally found the key.
Other than that, the decor is nice, the hotel is clean, and the restaurant is good (but overall I would recommend against staying in this hotel).

Unprofessional staff and management who take advantage of customers.
We had a very disappointing experience.

Beautiful hotel, with friendly staff.
8.0
Friendly staff, location is good and property is clean, though there were times no one was at the front desk for extended periods. Some amenities (e.g., shampoo) were missing, and the water shut off twice while I was there (I was told it wasn't just that hotel that was affected however) which meant I couldn't take a shower. Nevertheless, overall good experience.

This is a somewhat charming hotel, well-situated in the center of Merida, but is very far from being a four-star hotel. Rooms are much smaller than advertised, the bathrooms have no air conditioning, and the front desk is not a true 24-hour front desk. If you arrive back to the hotel after 11 or 11:30pm, you have to text the hotel via WhatsApp to have someone come and open the door for you, often waiting over 5 minutes on the street to have someone come.
In my opinion, this is really just a two-star hotel that just has a great location. That being said, most of the staff were very nice and helpful, minus the hotel manager…who was not whatsoever.

A beautifully jewel in Merida, a fantastic city. Service is first class and excellent cuisine with Chef Alfredo. Local could not be any better at half block from Plaza Mayor and Catedral, the old town section with beautiful

A wonderful boutique hotel centrally located by the downtown square in Merida. Walking distance to everything you need from dining to museums, cathedrals, and shopping. Safe at night as well; we walked around a lot! Very kind and helpful staff.

I was excited to stay at this hotel, but it turned out to be a not-so-dream vacation.
After returning from the beach one evening, I realized a ring was missing from my room. I reported it to the front desk in the hopes that maybe it was just an accident, taken from my room when the water glass I left it in was picked up by housekeeping.
However, after tearing my room apart to look for it, realized that a second box full of other jewelry was ALSO missing. My assumption is that they went missing at the same time, but I just didn't realize.
I reported the other missing items and asked if I should file a police report. The front desk staff kept saying the manager wanted to speak with me and to just wait. The night before I left, I asked if she was in, she wasn't, but they assured me she would be there in the morning. Of course, she ended up "coming in late that day." It definitely feels like she was avoiding me now.
I emailed the hotel when I got home and the response I got was that "they weren't responsible" and didn't offer me even a small refund as an apology.
Staying at this hotel really put a damper on my trip, as I just did not feel comfortable. I didn't use any of the amenities because who wants to really be somewhere where you feel like you've been violated?
So I'd think twice before booking this hotel. There are plenty others in the area. Probably even cheaper!

Room was so small. Did not have ANY place to unpack even a small suitcase. Shower water was always cold and bathroom was so small there wasnr a place to lay a toothbrush down.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff went way above and beyond. We were able to check in early, they helped us arrange in-room COVID tests, and scheduled a very early taxi for us. As we were departing in the wee hours of the morning, they even helped us with our bags. All around an amazing property. Wish we had stayed longer!

It was great. But did not like it that we were not provided a key card to our room. Apparently there was a problem with their key card system for my 4 day stay. Hhmmmm! Did not like it that every time I had to go in my room I had to ask some to let me in.

We loved this property! Right in the center of town. I could see the main plaza from my room balcony. All of its unique architecture and the beautiful back patio/restaurant were great. The people were always friendly and very helpful/accommodating. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star review is because the wifi was bad to nonexistent in the room. If you stepped out of your room the wifi was fine. With that said, I would definitely stay here again.

Very unique property. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Stunning building. Rooms being renovated in a modern style. Still nice. There was no internet on my floor and some work still needs to be done. Overall excellent value and great location. Lovely staff.

We had an awful stay here. I almost never write negative reviews but I had to do this one. There were a few specific reasons we chose this hotel. We needed WiFi but it was extremely weak so we had no service in our room. I, literally, went back to the front desk 11 or 12 times trying to make it work. It never did. Second, a pool was a necessity. After we'd already checked in we found out we couldn't swim in it. The air conditioner was woefully too small to even cool the room down. The restaurant had a very slimmed down menu. There was also construction going on in the room above is. Hammering constantly all day. Also we weren't told until after we'd checked in. I think the lady at the front desk, Alejandro and David were great but it was one disaster after another.

Awesome boutique hotel with great staff.

What a beautiful piece of history. Yes there are more modern, stylish hotels in the city, but this is truly unique. That staff were kind and were always available to help. I will gladly return. Also. If you can. Upgrade to the suites as the rooms are larger and have a second balcony.

The Peidra De Agua Hotel is a converted 19t century mansion centrally located near the central plaza. There
is a lovely patio area with a pool in the back of the hotel
where we enjoyed breakfast each morning and a swim
in the afternoon after a busy day of sightseeing.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful with any requests you might have with room service or day trips to area attractions. On the downside, the hotel is on a busy street which can be noisy most mornings. The bathrooms are very small and hot water in the shower practically non-existent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would consider staying here on a return trip to Merida.

This property has lots of history and the location is the best.!
