This property is perfectly lovely and the staff — and staff dogs!!! — are wonderful as so welcoming. Such a beautiful place. Check-in was quickly and simple, then the owner walked us to our room, which was old-world and loaded with character. Great swimming pool, pretty outdoor areas to relax or play table tennis, a lovely patio for a continental breakfast. I was actually quite sad to only stay one night (had plans elsewhere). Will probably return for a longer stay with some relaxation time built in.

We loved Hotel Le Hameau! It is charming and beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and very true to the region. The location is perfect for walking to the old town of St. Paul de Vence (10 min walk) or exploring other towns (by car or bus ranging from a 10 min drive to an hour drive depending on where you want to go) in the region. The pool was great with beautiful views and very peaceful. The breakfast was delicious with excellent service. Be sure to enjoy the fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh orange jam! We can't say enough about this hotel. It's a gem. We loved it and our young daughters loved it, too. Everyone felt right at home and had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

Outdated bathroom facilities and a lingering smell of dogs from the room rugs. (I didn't realise that dogs were permitted when i booked)

We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend! Thanks for a great experience.

Unfortunately our stay started off on the wrong foot. We were given the wrong room and they couldn’t refund us the difference between the new room and the old one. There was no WiFi in the new room and also no hot water in the sink. Otherwise the breakfast was lovely and the property is cute.

Overall the Hotel was good with wonderful views of the Côte d’Azur and a 10 minute walk from St Paul. The food at dinner was good but over priced for the disappointing service that we had to endure!

I rarely write reviews but our stay at Hotel Le Hameau was so disappointing that I feel the need to warn other travelers. To begin, we specifically booked a "Superior Room" with a balcony and view. When we checked in, the staff put us in the "Nid d'Amour," a dark, first-level room with a "view" of the parking lot that was in fact blocked by shrubs. When I complained to staff that there must have been a mistake as I had booked a room with a balcony and a view, the man behind the desk with glasses was incredibly rude. He said that the room assigned to me was "peaceful." Peaceful it may have been but what I had booked and paid for was a room with a balcony and view of the area surrounding St. Paul de Vence! (By the way, if you look at the hotel's website, you'll see that the "Nid d'Amour" room is supposed to have a skylight above the bed but there was no such skylight in this room.) The staff refused to accommodate our request to change rooms or get a discount. But perhaps the worst part of our stay was that the shower and sink were incapable of regulating water temperature and water pressure. We almost burnt ourselves several time because scalding hot water would come out of the sink without notice. Taking showers was terrible because the water pressure would suddenly slow down. From the service to the room conditions to the outright deceptive practices of this hotel, I would not recommend Le Hameau to travelers. There are much better options nearby.

Charming and great location. We loved everything about the place. An easy walk to the medieval town of St. Paul de Vence and spectacular views.

We stayed a night with our kids while visiting St Paul, but we spent most of the time by the lovely pool overlooking the valley below going all the way to the ocean. We had a two room suite with a terrace next to the pool and it was perfect for a family of four and very affordable for all you get back, location, service and ambience. Would go back in a second.

Everything was great - room with balcony, infinity pool and lovely people. We were the only people for dinner and was like eating in a private dining room - really very good food. Thoroughly recommend.

Felt like we had our own little villa in a beautiful garden setting. Easy walk to st Paul de Vence with a great range of restaurants and beautiful architecture .Owners and staff of the hotel were very friendly and made us feel most welcome.

We stayed here 30 years ago and loved it then and now. It is charming and lovely, many rooms have private verandas and there are multiple terraces and gardens and a lovely pool area. There is a terrific view of the valley towards Saint Paul. Highly recommended if you want a low key, beautiful but not high tech inn.

Excellent pool, gardens, service, room, shower, ambience, quiet, nice breakfast and snacks but pricey, attentive staff, location, security, excellent wifi everywhere. Not so good were the poolside mosquitos (but rooms had netted windows), absence of a room guide (gift shop and other opening closing times not clear), firm beds, pool overlooked by two tall tower cranes as part of nearby construction site - site was inactive so not noisy

Nice location but the basic rooms are extremely small & you can hardly move in it unless you upgrade & pay so much more and it’s not worth it. Walking from the hotel to the centre is only few minutes walk but there is no path and first few minutes you have to walk through the road with cars coming towards you, it’s really dangerous. Taxis around this area are so expensive. We got taxi for a 5 minutes journey to the shops and we had to pay €25!!! The same journey would cost us £5-£7 back home in Yorkshire.

We went for dinner at the Colombe dOr . What a disappointment , after many visits . Thankfully the Hameau made up for it ..

Absolutely we enjoyed our stay. The place is a kind of a relaxing environment with environmental features: lots of flowers, bergamot trees, grapes which give nice shades for passages and antic furnitures.

Not actually inside the walls of St. Paul but I believe only one is. And it’s 5 Star. Le hameau is about a 10 minute walk to town. There is a paved path part way but the rest you are on the road for a bit. Somewhat scary! The hotel is lovely and relaxing. Beautiful common areas and patio and pool. Very laid back. Breakfast was nice. The best cantaloupe I ever tasted as well as the croissants. Bed was amazingly comfy.

Close to St. Paul de Vence, we were able to visit many of the cities in the area. The hotel was a charming, comfortable home away from home.

wonderful setting in lovely gardens, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff

A pricey but charming hotel, full of character, pretty gardens, great views across the sea to Nice and to the wonderful village perche of St Paul de Vence. Originally a farmhouse, the hotel's series of courtyards make a very pleasant change from more modern buildings. Every room is unique and tastefully furnished. Breakfast was superb (fresh viennoiseries, coffee/tea, delicious home made marmalade, yogurts and fresh fruit salad). The staff were helpful and friendly. Although the hotel was peaceful, our room was just above reception and the tiled floors meant that sound travelled easily. Although the hotel doesn't serve dinner, St Paul is just a 10 minute walk away and we enjoyed a great meal at Le Tilleuil, just inside the ramparts. For lovers of modern art, it takes 10-15 minutes to walk up to the fantastic Maeght Foundation.
