Excellent hotel all around. Best location in the beach. Sea facing rooms have breathtaking views even from lower floors. Beautiful lobby with nightly entertainment, sometimes a bit loud but good quality and not audible in rooms. Fantastic breakfast and dinner buffets. Nice, helpful staff. Most guests are European retirees. Convenient parking in the underground garage. Plenty of great restaurants in the immediate area, reasonable prices.

We had a problem with our first room due to faulty air conditioning it was very soon rectified with a different room , which was nothing more than you would expect from a hotel of this standard

Can’t fault anything else other the fact I asked reception if they could do a little something to mark our anniversary on the 12 April, I even suggested some chocolate writing on pudding plate as didn’t expect much but all was forgotten.

The Gran Hotel Soly Mar is simply wonderful, the hotel is clean and stylish, the staff are really friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The dining room has panoramic sea views and the breackfasts are amazing. There is a supermarket in the basement which is super convenient. The location of the hotel is perfect for shops bars and restaurants.

We loved this hotel… we had a room with a sea view which was worth paying extra for 🌅 The room was clean and well presented. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The breakfast was great with a large variety to suit all. The pool area was good but a little small for the size of hotel. It was difficult to get beds at times. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to any friends travelling to Calpe.

Breakfast somewhat chaotic. Tables not always laid properly. Difficulty finding cutlery. Layout of food not easy to navigate. Hot food not always hot. Fried eggs kept too long. Booked queens bed got two singles pushed together. Staff at reception not particularly helpful. Lack of information about facilities ie spa, and entertainment. Need more sun beds with parasols. Generally not a friendly and welcoming hotel.

The best buffet! Live music entertainment at night, cosy immaculate rooms with lots of handy goodies for the forgetful travellers. The beach nearby is awesome, sandy with a scenic rock.

Been to Calpe many times and decided to give the hotel a go , and all I can say it was exceptional !! Fantastic room with wonderful views! Would absolutely recommend and look forward to going back!

Great hotel and although very large the level of service was never challenged. Fantastic breakfast - they even had someone carving serrano ham! Convenient parking (at a cost). Pool and pool area very small and crowded, however there is a lovely beach just below.

Had the most loveliest time at this wonderful hotel! Staff friendly, hotel is spotless, the room was amazing with the most loveliest views of the sea. We stayed on bed & breakfast basis and it was great...so much choice and variety. The pool area is fantastic with beautiful views again. Bar area is very nice too with live music in the evenings. Cannot find anything negative to say ...will definitely be back soon! Thank you Gran Sol Y Mar for the best mini break ...feel so refreshed & relaxed

Very comfortable room with an amazing view of the beach from above. The front desk staff did a great job the few times I asked for their assistance. The breakfast was good and the staff there did a nice job also.The pool was great, refreshing, clean with amazing views and friendly staff. The gtym was great for a hotel facility.I would stay there again.

They didn’t clean our room the last night. We paid over $400 for the night in August. Totally unacceptable by any standard. This room is not worth more that $200 a night even in August. Good location and nice accommodation. Service has much to desire.

This hotel might look nice but don’t expect a 4-star service. This hotel caters discount charter customers (Sunweb) which means this is a mass hotel. This means you will need to wait 10 minutes for the elevator to arrive; breakfast can only be done in time shifts; and a quiet read at the pool is an illusion as you will have to share the pool area with at least 100 other guests (also scheduled in time shifts). For us this was disappointing as I expected more tranquility.

Everything was great. Fantastic breakfast.The only bad note were smokers on the close balcony forcing us not always to enjoy the balcony and close the window.
