only one night which was fine. The only things that let it down was that the beer was off - but they did excheange it - and it was really cold in reception so put us off staying for dinner
1.5
Room was comfortable although the bathroom was a slightly older style. The bathroom floor can be very slippery when wet (steamy after a shower), so make sure to use the rubber mat or lay down a towel.
1.5
Conveniently situated near station and easy walk into town. Reception staff especially Mihal really lovely but…
Our room was boiling! Asked for a quiet room with window that opened but could hear a lot of traffic noise at night. With window w closed and heating off it was uncomfortably hot. Neither of us got much sleep for 2 nights. It was difficult to get wet under the shower!

Hotel is clean and very well located for the station. Rooms are a good size. Pricing was competitive. But for 4 star status I'd expect more attention to detail.
There should be bottled water in the rooms (this can be done sustainably), quality toiletries including body lotion (not from dispensers that barely work), better quality fresh ingredients at breakfast, some element of table service, key cards that worked on the lifts... added to which the extractor fan was constantly on and the bedroom phone didn't work.
In summary, on this experience it was Premier Inn standard. And I think Premier Inn is ok! But it should be aiming a bit higher.

Comfortable stay, used as a base during a visit to Brighton. Shared spaces were lovely and modern. Rooms were dated however, particularly the bathroom. Good price and location.
2.5
Great location. Nearby, reasonably priced parking. Everything you meed for a short stay, or longer. Friendly, helpful staff.

Great rooms with perfect bed

Came to hotel early and left luggage with front desk. Was then told there was no water for use in toilets in ground floor area due to a water problem. Went away and came back about 5 hrs later. In checking at desk was told there was no water available in hotel. There were some small bottles of water in reception area and we picked up 2 of them. One for ourselves and another for a friend stsying in another room. We were told we had to pay for these!! After a discussion with staff was told we would not be charged. I requested breakfast for the following day and was going to be charged more than if i had done it on line at time of booking. I had in fact phoned up the previous day to our arrival to request breakfast but was told i could do it at the desk. No mention that price would be different from one quoted to me at time of booking. If i had left it until later that day i would have been charged even more. The water was back on when we returned at 10 pm. We were not offered any hand sanitisation whilst the water was off and in our room. The whole water and breakfast situation could have handled better with a more customer focused approach.

on arrival we was present with the key to the room and the
stench in the room was awful , it was a drains smell . Asked if we can change room , after 2 receptionist looking to see, we advise it would go for food and return , another room was given , only to find out the electrical sockets did not work so no phones charges and in the morning could not use the hair dryer , and to and get maintenance to reset .

THE GOOD
Perfectly clean and tidy hotel room. Contemporary look with nothing too crazy.
staff were nice enough.
Decent enough location (at least for us) and directly opposite the train station.
THE BAD
TV is utter garbage due to the poor digital signal.
With the window open and a room facing the train station you will hear them every 10 mins.
Uncomfortable pillows. Hard beds. Rubbish air con.
Ultimatley is was fine. Bit dear at £80 but its Brighton town.
2.5
Amazing hotel right next to train station. Also main taxi rank a short walk away !
Was given an upgrade to an executive room which was a nice touch for my wife’s 50th Birthday celebration evening ?
Breakfast was great too !
Highly recommend !

Service on arrival was amazing. Room had lovely view, with a bed that was so comfy! Excellent location would defiantly stay there again

Hotel was AOK, some bottled water & few biscuits would been nice.

The Leonardo Hotel has never failed to impress! I’ve stayed here many times, and never been disappointed. From check in to checkout this hotel can’t be faulted. And if you knew me, you’d find that hard to believe! LOL I’m probably one of the most demanding customers, and it’s very rare for me to be pleased with a property, but the Leonardo is excellent. Compared to the usual Brighton properties, with their unsupportive mattresses, run down thread bare bedding and carpet, bathrooms which have other people’s hair on the floor, and surely staff… The Leonardo is a breath of fresh air! Obviously, I’ll be back here again and again!

Great location and great value for a business trip

Great location next to station so not far to go un the morning to get train home

Stay was ok loved the room very clean and tidy bath was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Did not order breakfast because a bit expensive after paying top dollar for the room. Having stayed in Norwich last weekend for 60 percent less I know they offer different evenings out but they are both cities and are both hotels of good repute.

Staff were amazing. Rooms could really do with more, they are very basic.
2.5
Clean and comfortable. With the train station and its car park across the road and walking distance to Brighton town for food and markets. We walked down to the pier within half an hour. Statisfied our one night stay.

We love this hotel. We love Brighton. The entire staff are amazing. They did everything they could to make our stay a satisfying one. We were treated incredibly well for the eight days we had with them. . The staff are so kind and considerate and full of Brighton fun.
We bought their breakfasts every day and loved every one of them. We particularly enjoyed the gluten free options on offer and the massive choices available. We regularly ate in their restaurant in the evenings and enjoyed those meals as well. Brighton is a brilliant city and right next to the train station is this great hotel. It is an easy walk to theatres and excellent shopping, cafes and restaurants. The access to day trips from here by train or bus is perfect. Eastbourne and Lewes are within east reach.
It was just an hour away from London to take the Gatwick Express to Victoria station and across the road we went to London shows and saw the sites. We also found it easy to get to Heathrow from here which for us was a big plus. Thanks Leonardo’s. You are a masterpiece!

Nice and central hotel very close to the train station. Nice sized room but a bit dated, especially the bathroom. Bed was too hard and even if there were loads of pillows they were to floppy and hard.
1.0
- The air conditioning appeared to be faulty and made an unusual noise throughout the night as did the bathroom sink taps following use of them
- There was hair in the bath and on the bathroom floor
- The curtains did not close properly
- The TV signal kept failing intermittently
- There were unsightly stains on the carpet, possibly blood?
- The decor was in poor condition
- After parking, we were informed at the reception desk that we were entitled to a parking discount, but had not received prior notification of this.
We have stayed at other branches of this hotel and have always been very happy with our hotel experience. Sadly it was not the case on this occasion.

Was there for one night very clean and close to station
2.5
Very close to Brighton Station and 10-15 minutes walk to shops and restaurants.
Various parking options close by - Sainsburys is about 10 minutes walk and the cheapest parking option for overnight, although the station car park is right opposite hotel.

Came the night after our wedding, lots to do in Brighton. Friendly staff and nice rooms
4.0
Location is good and entrance is really nice. Although I think the room let it down a bit. The beds move very easily and the bathroom could have been cleaner. You can hear the trains a bit but was not a disturbance. Breakfast was nice.
2.5
This is a lovely hotel in a top spot, being close to the train station was a big bonus for us. Easy walk to great restaurants, cafes and the sea front. Terrific breakfasts await you if you choose that option. The staff were all really professional and friendly, going out of their way to help. We liked staying there so much that we’ve rebooked for an 8 day stay in a couple of weeks time. Now that is the best review a hotel could ever have. Well done!

The Room was very clean and comfortable. Over and above Leonado Hotel Brighton services are excellent.
1.0
Poor communication skills from reception staff. Brusque to the point of being rude. Was given the wrong room - booked Executive room with 1 King bed and initially presented with standard room with a double bed and l single sleeper. When l queried, they initially resisted saying the bed was a King and it was what l had booked. I insisted back and only then did they concede and moved us to an actual Executive room with a King bed. Absolutely dismal service. On top of all that, half the stuff in the room are broken or in some state of disrepair - sheets with holes, waste bin with broken foot pedal, toilet role is so poor quality, l had to go and buy instead of use it, etc. All around more appropraite for a 3-star hotel at best.

I liked the fact that it is easy to locate, parking is available, it has a lovely bar area and dining room.
1.5
The lobby area was very nice and inviting. It made really good impressions. The room was good size and refurbished. However, the bathroom is very dated. The mirror light kept going off and overall the bathroom seemed something from 90s. The room cleanliness was not the best. It was dusty and carpets felt very tired and dirty. The breakfast was very under staffed the whole weekend. They kept running out of food and it took time for it to be replanished. It was a busy weekend, nonetheless there was enough seating for everyone. But because there was noone to clean and reset the tables people struggled to find places to sit down. As a result breakfast felt a bit of a jungle. The selection when it was replanished was avarage for this type of hotel.

Hotel and staff were ok but the bathroom/ shower could do with some cosmetic attention, sealant turning black in places. Fabric on headboard worn.

We very happy to stay in this hotel, very clean, modern, quiet! Breakfast were was served good! Good location near train station! We would like to back again…..
