Our stay was excellent. The staff is all so pleasant and happy. Housekeeping was so friendly and accommodating. The service in all the restaurants was above and beyond. The only part we were disappointed in was the front desk. Not as pleasant as everyone else . We felt we were a bother, except when we checked in Faye was outstanding. It was not everyone just a few that had a difficult time be friendly and smiling.

Overall, the property itself was OK. Rooms are outdated. Service is good but food is mediocre. But one thing I would definitely stay away from is booking any trips through the hotel. There is price gouging. The hotel charged me almost $800 to go for 4 hours to the ancient ruins and a museum. The cost of the trip was outrageous and the hotel refused to accommodate my concerns. Their description of the tour and the cost did not justify or reflect the services that were provided.

Didn't like the amount of kids running around.

One of the premier, luxury hotel resorts in Crete. Not far from Heraklion. Staff are very professional, warm, and welcoming. The place has its own private beach area reserved for hotel guests. Breakfast and dining area is fantastic, lovely ambience, and variety of options within the resort. There is a convenience store within the resort and other shops which is nice. Night time entertainment / performance offers really nice atmosphere with tranquility. Plenty of activities to do whether it's outdoor yoga, gym, tennis, paddle, football, swimming, and beach. They have outdoor and indoor gym. I believe the resort can upgrade the gym equipment for their outdoor space. Some of equipment was not very comfortable.
I had an early morning checkout, the hotel reception staff were so nice to have prepared a breakfast box to go. A really nice gesture. Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling family.

The outdoor area of this place is amazing, stunning. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Service is a bit slow but friendly. Food and drinks fantastic. The Wi-Fi is very slow. We asked and were given an in room router which made it much better. The bathrooms are a bit strange… the toilet was in a small little corner with a wall right in front of you and the shower very small with no door so water was everywhere after each shower. The big bathtub was lovely. Overall a fantastic experience! Private pool was amazing too!

Paradise on earth. Away from the hoards and busses b of tourists. Elegant. Beautiful. Amazing staffs. Great authentic dining options in and out of the hotel: real, authentic, tavernas in B near by villages. Fantastic wine and olive oil. My wife and I - 1st time in Crete, had a wonderful time.

Excellent property, very friendly staff. Two issues: 1) the WIFI quality is not good, keep dropping the internet connection, 2) the staff doesn’t communicate well in English; we had some tough time communicating basic things with them

Nice hotel on beach away from traffic noise etc.
Smoking is allowed outside on the terrace where people are eating having their breakfast. A smoking zone away from eating area would be recommended.

Everything was perfect. Just one thing, the room had a smell coming from the toilet, it was a mix of heavy detergent/cleaning product plus toilet smell. We stayed at one of the bungalows and the smell is evident when you walk in from outside into the room, you get used to it after a while. However at night the toilet smell was more evident and we had to open the door and turn on the AC full speed to make the odor go out. Other than that the staff, the hotel was perfect.

It was an mazing resort but it’s a vip resort and I didn’t get anything no upgrade or even offered anything still everything about it was great but I have few suggestions they need to have more verity in food options there is a lot of pork lamp and seafood no chicken or vegetarian .. I would love to go back in a warmer months it was very cold and windy so we didn’t enjoy the pool or beach

Traveled with my family, the resort made feel like home. The staff was amazing and the resort was gorgeous. The food was great. The resort offered entertainment and many activities through out the day for the entire family. I would stay here again.

It was an amazing getaway.
Service was one of the best hotel services ever.
The location is quite and isolated, and the whole resort is just amazing.

Stay away! This is no five star resort. Valuables stolen right out of our room and hotel management doesn't care. Cleaning lady stole multiple items, all the hotel can say is you have no proof. Didn't realize I need to put things like perfune in the safe as well. Will never stay at Grecotel again. Not to mention rooms were old, AC unit was noisy, gym is tiny and food is mediocre. There are much better options as I've stayed in many beautiful resorts in Greece.

The Garden Sea View Bungalow was ideally located for us as it was very close to the pool.It was also a quiet location

It is a really nice hotel and we loved staying there. As mentioned to the hotel staff, the biggest downside is that smoking is allowed in the main food area and you can need tell when someone will sit down at the table next to you and light a cigarette up. It is a real shame as it happens everywhere, next to children, pregnant women etc. Otherwise it’s a great hotel, the beach, staff and food was all amazing!

My partner and I stayed here for a few days in May 2022.
Overall we really enjoyed the stay, were well fed, cared for by the staff and went home relaxed and refreshed.
The resort is really pleasant to stay in. I loved the architecture, water features and the layout is easy to navigate. We enjoyed playing tennis, archery, a couple's massage and watching the sunset every evening. There is plenty to do here if you are a bit restless but ultimately it is a place designed to chill.
I think we got lucky with our luxury sea view room, as it was at the end of the row and was much bigger and better than the pictures.
There are several restaurants onsite, we only tried the buffet and an Asian place. The other restaurants require booking in advance, so we didn't get to try everywhere. We needed gluten free food and the staff were excellent in providing information on what could be eaten. We were offered gluten free pancakes in the morning, and even the Asian restaurant was able to make a couple of dishes gluten free which is rare.
One of the positive highlights was that it was my partner's birthday during the stay. Without hinting or prompting the staff at all, they brought us a surprise gluten free birthday cake at the end of our meal (they must have recognized the birthday from the "Date of Birth" info during check in) which I thought was exceptional service. I wish I could have taken credit for organizing it but the staff really outdid themselves!

This was our third stay at the hotel and we've had a fantastic experience every time. The hotel itself is stunning; the design and all the facilities. The staff are exceptional too.
I really can't fault the place. If I was being particularly knit-picky, I'd like a few more vegetarian-friendly dining options.

The property itself was spectacular and the food and staff excellent the only drawback was I wish I would have known it was mostly a family resort.. Most activities were geared towards children and the place was full of kids and babies.. which is fantastic however not the place to stay if you're into more adult pursuits.

The hotel is excellent in all aspects specially the children activities

- Poor front-desk/concierge service for a 5-Star hotel. On July 30 around 10am, we went to the front desk to book ferry and turned out to be more than a 30-min wait. There was only one concierge staff who was preoccupied by a previous guest’s long request. We then turned to the front desk for help on ferry booking (which we thought was a simple request), but a staff named Maria asked us to wait for concierge since it was not the front desk responsibility. During the 30 min when we were waiting patiently, the 3-4 front desk staff (no smile) were not engaged in anything at all, but they kept avoiding having eye-contact with us. When the 30-min wait already passed our patience limit and we requested for immedate attention, Maria then asked a front staff, who has been idle all the while , to book it for us at the front desk computer, which they could have done 30 min ago. And disappointingly, since the staff wasn’t experienced at all, I ended up being the one to make the booking on their computer all by myself. So in summary, we wasted all the time waiting to borrow the computer from them! How inefficient! Meanwhile, while I was using their computer for the ferry booking, I saw another guest came for help but again got turned down by the front desk staff saying their concierge colleague was still preoccupied with a guest’s request, and they couldn’t help at all. Think about the amount we paid per night at a 5-star hotel, it was not all worth it!

Beautiful beach, loved the ocean. The property itself is beautiful. Excellent breakfast buffet

Absolutely not a 5 stars hotel. It s more like all inclusive property full of kids and germans people. It is impossible to relax or to sleep. Pool is always full of screaming kids with huge inflatables. Kid club extremely noisy and suite with mini pools also full of kids who wake up very early mornings. Most of the rooms are connecting so you can hear all the discussion from your neighbour. Building are done of long tiles corridor and housekeepers hoover the tiles floor and bang on the walls every early mornings. The blinds in the bedroom are too old or too thin and do not protect from the daylight at all. They advertise few restaurants actually the restaurant places are the same location and you just get 2 different menus. The buffet restaurant close at 10pm, which means that at 10 sharp they have removed everything ( including the desserts) even though you are still seating in the restaurant. Food is overall very average . That is probably why you cannot find any menu of their restaurants online on their website. Moreover the description of the food you order is rarely comparable to what you will get. It seems sophisticated when you read but it s more like basic room service food. They do not have a 24hrs room service which is unacceptable in a 5 star hotel. From 11pm you can only have 2 salads, one toastie and no dessert. Lot of alguae on the beach and there s never enough sunbeds on the beach. I try to meet the manager while i was there but he was invisible.

Amazing! This place is so peaceful. We had a great time with our toddler. Staff was friendly and helpful, facilities are well kept, food is tasty with wide variety. Perfect stay, can't wait to go back!

That resort was very good and service was excellent...would go back any day!!!

Most amazing architecture of any of the hotels on Crete - perhaps in all of the Greek Islands. A masterpiece of architectural forms and planning. Very comfortable and spacious villas, amazing salt water pool, excellent buffet breakfasts included - restaurants all in a great setting.
