The hotel is more than perfect, nice and clean. Location is perfect, near lots of places and safe.
The breakfast is excelent and a nice place to have a coffee or a wine in the afternoon.

Beautiful hotel, unassuming from the outside but beautiful and relaxing inside with tremendous views from the dining room and outdoor patio. Staff were so so helpful and incredibly friendly. Very knowledgeable and so welcoming.

A really beautiful small boutique-style hotel. Incredibly beautiful views from the room's window and the hotel's terrace. Nice staff and good service. Attractions of Cerro Alegre and the Valparaiso city center and port nearby.

This hotel was fantastic, the port view was wonderful and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In addition the breakfast was great and the outdoor seating in the garden was beautiful. The hotel was also right near incredible restaurants and great boutique shops. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Valparaiso

Hotel Zero was perfecto! We only had one night in Valparaiso and we wanted to be in the center of the artistic cultural area but close to lots of transportation to get around the area. Hotels had gorgeous gardens and sitting areas with epic views. It was intimate with fun and loveliness right outside the door. Room was pretty and very clean and also had incredible views. Highly recommend.

Overall, this is simply not a four star hotel. Service was almost non existent, rooms were dated, old and due for an update, sheets had holes or were fraying. Breakfast was inedible. I have stayed at nicer Pensions in Europe. I think Hotels.com needs to update the listing for this hotel.to no more than a two star. There is also no restaurant on site, only an honor bar.

This is a perfect hotel for Valparaiso - small, quaint and unique - just like the city! It's a great location for walking and exploring. Breakfast was individually prepared and outstanding. The welcome and the service could not have been better or more personal. I really enjoyed my time here and Valparaiso was an unexpected delight in its own funky way. I can't wait to come back!

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Good views of the harbour. Staff were very helpful and attentive and room was kept clean and tidy. We stayed 3 nights and the restaurant was closed for the first two. We ate on the last night and the food was delicious.

We enjoyed two nights at the Zero Hotel during a short visit to Valparaiso. The hotel is in an "artsy" part of town peppered with hidden stairways, lots of murals, great restaurants, artisan shops, and friendly people. The people who manned the desk were always lovely and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. I would say that the one negative is that the rooms do NOT have air conditioning. If you sleep with the windows open, you are kept awake by the outside noises including screeching birds, traffic, and people yelling/talking.

Without exaggeration one of the best hotels we've every stayed. Wonderful hotel, incredibly friendly and supportive stuff, excellent location, ...

This small hotel was very well run. There was always someone at the door who spoke excellent English and could provide recommendations on restaurants and activities. The patio was lovely---great views, more pleasant in the morning when it was in the sun than in the late afternoon. Our room didn't have a view but was still very nice. Amazing bathroom with large tub too. As a sweet touch, they leave a truffle and bottle of water in the evening when they turndown the beds. Would definitely come back here.

Zero Hotel has a homey, cozy atmosphere, decorated with simplicity, functional and comfortable. Comfortable bed and plentiful hot water shower. Delicious breakfast and very attentive staff make the stay a relaxed, worry-free experience. Rooms 7 and 8 face east have a great view to the port, Viña del Mar and on a clear day you can even see Aconcagua!

Zero Hotel is a great find, up the winding hill from the flats of Valparaiso on a lovely street flush with a small market on the corner, shops and restaurants on the street as well. Best advice we could offer if arriving by car is to pay for parking. Its not included (or wasnt for us) but well worth it. There was no parking available on the street. Lovely old hotel (a little creaky), be aware that its got a staircase up to the 2nd floor. Staff couldnt have been kinder or more helpful with great advice about where to go and what to do. Breakfast is tasty and filling, and the cooks are more than willing to prepare just about whatever kind of eggs/french toast youd like. We didnt eat in the restaurant for dinner but it smelled wonderful. It was lovely after a day trekking up and down hills to return to the hotel and sit on the terrace and look out over the city and port below. We stayed quite happily for a long weekend.

Love this small hotel in Valparaiso. A little bit removed from the noice. Nice terrace and a beautiful view.

This property is perfectly situated and an incredible hidden respite, complete with flowers and gardens. The views from our room were spectacular. This is a very small intimate property, and the staff were excellent and helpful. You are just steps away from walking the incredible streets of the neighborhood, full of creative street art and murals. Can't wait to return!

Lovely hotel, benchmark boutique style with very attentive service. Nice view and very comfortable bed/linen.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. We were so happy to settle in after days of "roughing it" in Patagonia. The rooms are large with extremely high ceilings. They feel really light and airy. Location is perfect for exploring the nicest areas of Valparaiso. Very nice/helpful hotel staff. Would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay here at Zero Hotel. We booked it last minute so we got a really good rate. The rooms were really nice, a lot of character and a really good view. I don't know why this hotel isn't rated higher? Perhaps it is the price relative to what you get. The breakfast was somewhat lacking with buffet service, but not bad. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I was lucky enough to be checking in on a Sunday in the October off season and got a free upgrade to a great ocean view room. Those without view rooms should take advantage of the three level garden and its great views. The location of the hotel is nearly perfect with many great restaurants nearby and a huge amount of great street art nearby. The staff was great and had excellent English language skills. The breakfast the hotel proved was rather good.A near perfect hotel for a pre or post cruise stay. The hotel had multiple WiFi routers so internet speeds seemed excellent everywhere.Creaky floor boards were the only problem with this hotel.

Located very centrally in the UNESCO protected portion of Valparaiso, this hotel is charmingly attractive in an historic way. The views from our two great big windows gave us a gorgeous panorama of the city and port. The building is old and yet graciously kept. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast in the glassed in room with a view was terrific and service was very attentive. We loved how we could walk to so many of the sites we wanted to visit in Valparaiso although the city is very vertical and walking requires some steep hill climbing. There are some beautiful outdoor decks with lovely gardens terraced which we visited but did not linger in due to the cold marine layer that had settled on the city. On a sunny day, they would be excellent spots to rest.

Our room was not huge, but very well accommodated. Very tall ceilings, beautiful floors and furnishings, and wonderful linens. The terraces outside were serene and filled with flowers, and the breakfast was delicious and substantial. The best part, though, was the attentive and friendly service of the staff. We only wish we could have stayed longer in Val Paraiso!

A splendid hotel, full of character. Very obliging staff, excellent breakfast, well stocked Honesty Bar, and heavenly garden, with panoramic views. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone going to Valparaiso.

A warm welcome and drinks in the beautiful terraced garden in the morning sunshine helped us to forget the miseries of the long flight. The hotel is in a pleasant and convenient location for the tourist attractions and great and inexpensive local restaurants. Our very pleasant room was no 1 on the ground floor complete with a high ceiling, comfortable bed plenty of space and a good bathroom. The polished wood floors look great but can creak a bit so pay the extra money and have a room facing the sea and on the top floor if you are able. Breakfast is very good too, the honesty bar works well, the Wi-Fi works fine too and the reception team helpfully make bookings for restaurants for dinner etc. We will stay at the Zerohotel again on our next visit to this unusual and historic city.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Zero and can highly recommend it not only for the wonderful service, the views but it is the best location in the city for sightseeing. The staff were all exceptionally helpful.

Although their was a minor issue with water in the upstairs rooms, staff worked hard to fix it even bringing us a 6 liter bottle of water and giving us a discount on one day due to our inconvenience. Rex was great and helped us with directions and etc. .
