This is our second stay at this hotel. Rooms, dining service bar etc all great. We stayed 6 years ago and used the pool/sauna/steam room facilities and it’s pretty clear there’s been little investment in this area. The entire gym/pool/leisure centre requires upgrade asap as it’s dated and appears dirty.

Well maintained Holiday Inn. Lovely friendly staff. Good to have a pool and gym option. Restaurant and bar are decent and there is an M&S next door.
2.5
Clean room, well stocked , towels provided.
Comfortable beds. No noise from guest/outside.
Restaurant very nice, busy at 9am for breakfast.
Used the pool facilities too. Not busy, towels privided. Changing rooms a little dated but does the job.
Front of desk staff very friendly and informative.
Kids absolutely loved their stay, 20 minute journey to the warner brother studios so after long day it wasnt a long journey back.
2.5
Good sized room, comfortable bed.

This is such a lovely welcoming hotel, the staff turn into friends who are always pleased to see you. Such a lovely group of hosts.
The food is very good, compliments to the catering team, eating for our family is always a nightmare but we were all very impressed with the quality and quantity. Definitely reflected in the price though but worth it all the same!
Gluten free, dairy free all catered for. Gluten free beer and cider available a big deal in our family!
Dairy free butter portions at breakfast and soya oat and coconut milk at the Buffett, gf husband was given schar toast at breakfast yesterday, possibly a supermarket brand today but great nonetheless. Very grateful, would love to stay again, very relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Pool, sauna steam room, jacuzzi and great sized pool with floaties!! Pinot rose expensive but worth the pennies

Apart from Archie at the bar the rest of the staff look bored, tired and not interested. Lady at the reception when asked about the EV chargers was so not interested in helping out even to answer where they are, as in her words, '' they not hotels so they have nothing to do with it '' would be nice to smile at the reception greeting guests maybe ... definitely room for improvement, but hotel itself, rooms, bar area and distance to Luton airport which was reason for our stop were all perfect

Comfortable beds in good sized room. Overall a great stay but there were dirty plates and glasses left outside many rooms on our floor that were there for several hours.

Food in the hotel was good. But there were few resrant around the hotel.

Great base for Harry Potter studios London. The hotel had Harry potter themed activities for the kids. The food was good.
The kids enjoyed swimming.
The downsides:
The room had massive dusty cobwebs.
The sofabed duvet was a single for 2 kids sharing so we had arguments every evening and morning.
Overall it was a good base and we had fun.

Lovely and clean place ,customer service second to none and the food health centre spot on lush will be staying again

Great breakfast. Room was not clean and disappointed with this. Bedside light not working and reported nothing done about it

Excellent value for money all round. Lovely and clean and great staff. Not one complaint

When checked in I was told to pay £7 for car parking. On checking my statement the hotel took £50. When questioned they said this was to cover any additional items and would be refunded in 7 days. I wasn’t told this at check in nor did I get a receipt - my own fault. Be aware

Jo was amazing. She just made the stay comfortable. Lewis is also a great help at breakfast and at the bar.

We had 2 interconnected rooms for our grandchildren which worked very well. They loved the hotel especially the swimming pool and we were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff

I would recommend this hotel, there a few unwanted noises because of the plumbing either our bathroom or next doors, and some noisy kids slamming doors but that is just unfortunate for us. The room was lovely and clean, bed was bit hard and didn’t like the pillows but overall an alright place to rest your head. Reception staff but rude when we arrived but the lady that checked us out was lovely.

We would like to stay there again

We arrived with my family of four. Lovely stay with a very halpful personel. We have added breakfast and it was good. They have pretty good place with view in the breakfast area. Small pool but enough for our children and us. Easy to find and about 15 minutes drive if you are visiting Harry Potter Warner Bros. There are few good places around to explore.

Zero pressure at shower was impossible to use , noisy but i appreciate it was a Saturday night

I stayed here as I was attending a wedding in St Albans and this was convenient to the reception. Checking in and out was easy, reception staff and restaurant staff were welcoming friendly and helpful, however I strongly object to being charged a service charge for every transaction at the bar. I don’t want to pay a service charge for a bar person pouring me a pint of beer or a glass of whiskey.I will pay a gratuity if I think it is deserved for the service I receive and I would not have known about this had I not asked for a receipt. I think this is scandalous and will be making others aware of this deceitful behaviour.

Good property nice staff

Outrageous that they charge £7 to park you car. Surely when you charge £168 a night for a hotel outside London, parking should be free and not for an extra charge. The room condition was poor with the bathroom door cracked at the bottom.
There was constant loud banging noise from the room in the floor above, I went 3 times to reception but they did nothing about it, so I couldn't really sleep during the night.

I met the Manager, Tony, at reception who helped me sign my vehicle in as i'd forgotten my glasses, what a super ambassador for the company he is, he alone would bring me back to Hemel again.
All the staff were so professional with no request being to much. Abby was the dining room manager the first night i ate and again so professional and efficient.
The same was with Debbie who greeted me at breakfast with a warm smile and advice.
All three people mentioned were a delight to engage with but as i've said all the staff were exemplary especially with their patience and professionalism when presented with, in my opinion, difficult and unfair demands as some clients can be.
I was pleased with the amount of parking available with plenty of choice, my two day stay from Devon was for a local family funeral the hotel and staff made a very pleasant part of a sad occasion. Alan Rowe MBE

noisy guests beside my room.

Very comfortable hotel , we only stayed 1 night but we had a very good night sleep.

The staff were excellent and the food and rooms were both great.

Great hotel to stay with children, some extra touches that make the stay easier and more fun for families. The pool area is in need of maintenance but it did not spoil our visit. Drinks service could be a bit better. Would recommend and would come back.

Hotel was decent. Did not love it but it was good for a 1 night stay before we went to Barcelona from Luton airport. It is close by so that was a plus and main reason for booking. AC did not work at all. They gave us a standing fan which did not really deliver much of anything but it was all we had to work with.
Good short stay if traveling via LTN Airport, minutes away
