Lovely property, clean touch of luxury without being pretentious. Very nice small pool perfect when travelling with kids. It is right in the center of town which is lovely for exploring as well.

Room was good but the indoor pool was a joke, fine if you’re under 5 years of age. Would rate the hotel more of a three star than a four star.

access to parking was denied, room was small (11 sq m) comparing to the one we payed (14 sq m) no cabinets in a 4 stars hotel!

The room was not as big (21 meters) as per contract! The room was 12 m Max! With no cabinet! No parking available for me?

The property is nicely located, rooms are very nice and clean. However, parking is off site.

Stayed for just one night. Check in and check out were smooth with friendly receptionists. The elevator was having an issue when we first arrived so one lady kindly helped us carry our suitcases up two flights of stairs to our room; no more elevator issues after that initial snafu. The room was small but large enough for the two of us and our two carry ons / 1 large check in suitcase. The room itself was clean although the shower was showing some age (the nooks and crannies could probably use a good scrubbing). The balcony was nice but the tiles on the balcony were broken and clearly hadn't been updated or cleaned recently. The room also had an odd smell of cigarettes / cleaning products that either dissipated by the next morning or our noses got used to it. The bed was comfy as were the pillows. We didn't partake in the breakfast buffet the next day but the free bottled water and hot water dispenser in the lobby were nice. Wifi was solid and relatively fast with no issues. Overall, decent hotel for a great price in the middle of Chambery / near the station.

parking is a BIG issue you have to pay to park Its up a narrow street no sidewalks when you come back from parking your car Our room was cute Art Deco design but overlooked a roof top bar that was noisy until 1 am Front Desk Staff was AWESOME friendly spoke english very helpful I gentleman a little cranky but got the ice we needed for us but no conversation and no smile :(

We stayed for one night only. Great location and we had a good night sleep. Chambery centre was fantastic. Room does have a frigde, which was a pity ... we disnt have time to visit the pool because so many things to do in town 😃

A very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable, free wi-fi & well equipped bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, buffet breakfast with good variety and well stocked. Massive bonus was in reception there was complimentary Tea, Coffee & refrigerated bottled water! When the thermometer hit 35, most welcome. There is a very comfortable bar and lounge area. The hotel is very central, 5 minutes from the station & very close to the main part of town:- Tourist Office, Cathedral, shops, bars,restaurants and of course the Elephant Fountain just a few minutes walk away. The hotel also had a small indoor pool which would be an added bonus for some guests.

We had to book last minute as we missed a train connection. Staff were very efficient and as we were hot and tired from travelling the small but perfectly formed pool was much appreciated. Comfy and clean room.

Nice town with good restaurant. The hotel is not the newest, but it works and the price is good.

Two very young staff to run the hotel on New Year's eve. On a Sunday there aren't many places open to see and it is very difficult to find a good local restaurant. Mainly fast food places.

Asked for the tv remote and was told it’d be delivered to my room - I wasn’t!!! The ‘complimentary’ shower wash was empty and and no milk for the provided tea and coffee!? The room was small and was noisy from other hotel guests and nearby traffic. Found a pair of socks by the bed also!! wasn’t cleaned or stocked up it seems!!!

Room was very small. Only one small pillow provided each. We paid for a Comfort Room with city view - the view was just a flat roof. The air on in the room was ineffective. So not a a comfortable stay and a poor nights sleep mainly due to the lack of pillows. We were charged 15 Euros each for a very poor buffet breakfast. There is no on-site parking, we were directed to a public car park about 600 metres away. On the positive side the hotel is well located for the town centre which is about 300 metres.

I would recommend Le Cinq any time and I would stay there again

Good hotel, centrally located with all central Chambery amenities nearby. Nice, quiet and comfortable. Not the most up to date hotel but still a good and honest establishment. We were lucky to find parking right outside the front door.

Hotel within walking distance from downtown area. Public parking is 2 blocks away.

I couldn't have felt more welcome more had greater assistance from the team at this hotel. It's also really easy to get to and really close to the best restaurants and shopping streets in the town.

Minutes off the highway, near the old town center. Easy, clean and efficient -- and a beautiful pool.

We were welcomed very warmly by an excellent receptionist. She was efficient, knowledgeable and polite. The room was small but the bathroom was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, although on a double - we have a super king at home so this was rather cosy. We were in our way to Italy and Chambèry is perfectly placed for an overnight stop, being only an hour from the Fréjus Tunnel. Chambéry is a nice little town, seek out the old quarter it is very quaint.

I was staying in Chambery for a month for an Abroad program for school and wanted to arrive a day early so that I could rest. This hotel is right near the train station and only approximately a 5 minute walk. For me, when it comes to staying anywhere, cleanliness and comfort are HIGHLY important for me. The room I was in was cleaned well and I was very comfortable in my room. The service I received was also very good. The reception was very friendly and helpful with signing me in, answering questions and assisting me. The things that may trouble people is the price of the breakfast is quite expensive for what you receive. Especially as someone who came from a country where breakfasts tend to be quite larger in quantity, however I came to find that it was more of a cultural thing to have a smaller breakfast with croissants or other small pastries, cheese, yoghurt, etc. Another thing to note is the price of the hotel may be a little high, but it depends on why you are booking a hotel. I had some classmates that booked hotels further away because they were cheaper, but by the time the totaled the cost of transportation (taxi) from the hotel and to their dorm it ended up essentially being the same price.
