It's a nice place, close to the Zero Point ski slopes. We also had a private sauna for our room and it was awesome, we used it every day.
I had better breakfasts than here, but it was edible. Though we rather bought some pastries as a breakfast in the closest groceries.
Our room was quite spatious and even had a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink.
In the bathroom there was a drier machine for the wet clothes which we found extremely useful.
All in all, we liked to stay here, probably would come back again.

Very clean hotel with nice breakfast buffet.

The reception’s attitudes were quite kind.
The dinner and breakfast was very nice.
Although my stay was only one night, I really enjoyed the stay in the hotel.

The staff were extremely helpful. The facilities are older but very clean. Not sure they need all those fire doors though.

The restaurant manager, Johan, was fantastic. He was very personable and made us feel welcome.

Didn't meet my expectations, considering the price we've paid for the accommodation.
First and foremost, no daily cleaning. Second, the food in the hotel restaurant was below average. Especially the dinner on Christmas eve, it was terrible.

I found Hullu Poro to be grossly over rated for the price you pay (we paid 250 euro per night) . I'd rate it 2 star at best. We were allocated a room/suite in the annex building, a tired old building 5 - 10 mins walk (with little ones) from the main building. I had booked the hotel for the ease of B&B which was a waste cause we had to get our full winter kit on to trudge out to the breakfast room on the 4th floor. Where we also had a buffet dinner one night - big mistake. 30 euro per adult and 15 per child; the food was mediocore at best, I mean, fine for a buffet, but not at that price - just the mind boggles how they could justify that price! The room itself was grim. The drying cupboard old, rusted and falling apart. The dishes and cutlery were filthy, plates stuck together etc. Just so so so over priced. The staff were ok, not overly friendly, just there to do a job, not particularly pleasant or unpleasant, just meh, and for 500 quid I'd really expect a bit more from them. Very disappointing :(

OMG, no renovation after build up. Really old fashion and poor breakfast.

Room had everything we needed. We had a room with Sauna. It was a little bit worn out, but clean. Room had even more than we expected, drying cabinet, fridge, microwave.. So good for your stay if you go skiing. The famous hulluporo partybar was closed during our stay, but ravintola Ämmilä was open. Ämmilä was a little bit of laplandic fine dining. Good for couples!

Chose this hotel as they had chargers for my electric car.
Hotel is a bit dated, and the area is clearly a winter destination, but this was a great place for a stop on the way in late summer too.
I was upgraded to a room with a sauna, which was a very nice bonus. You have not been to Finland if you have not been in a sauna!
Room was clean, bathroom was a bit tight, but you probably have to choose between a decent size bath and a sauna.
Walking distance to Levi with bars and shopping.

Clean hotel, with an older bathroom. Balconys were shared. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choises but not that good quality. Good location for Levi.

Good holiday, nice comfy beds, OK place to stay but needs some TLC, run down in places ie wallpaper hanging off and carpet coming up, decor needs updating
4.0
Nice Hotel and well placed for all of the resort’s facilities.

Very good service, mid category location aiming for the package leisure traveler. The premise itself is dated, but the cleanliness standard is well on par to Nordic expectations. Families with kids of all ages present.

Big resort with a few restaurants inside. The in-room sauna was small, but satisfying. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. Location is great, both near the Levi center, Zero point and ski bus/airport shuttle bus station.

Staff was nice. They had a good breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean and spacious. Liked the little kitchenette area. Could use better toiletries. Sauna in the room was great!

The location is fantastic, just a couple of hundred meters from the Levi Center and the parking is just outside of the house. Breakfast was good with loads of options. The sauna and jacuzzi area is small but comfortable. We got an upgrade and enjoyed the “cabin villa”-room we got and used the in-room sauna as well.

It was really good, excellent service by the lady at the reception desk, very good breakfast, perfect room arrangement. Nice bike arrangement too by the hotel as we hiked around the Leki resort area. We’ll like to come back again.

Air port buss stops in the front of the hotel.
Highly recommended!

The location is acceptable and within walking distance to the main street. The room is clean and the staff is helpful. Breakfast has a wide variety of choice.

The room is basic, the service good but the hotel looks like a factory

Very close to everything in Levi.
The shuttle bus from the airport leave you in front of the hotel.

Well designed hotel overlooking the Levi ski resort. Good atmosphere.

Great Hotel, location and facilities are great. I have stayed here several times mostly in the winter season. One shortfall this time was a basic breakfast range as it is off-season. This is vastly different to what is on offer at other times.

Quite a basic room, but it was what we expected for the price. Very cosy, lots of storage. Beds really comfortable. Big bath and powerful over bath shower. Fridge in room. The only minus points were not very soft toilet roll and no toiletries, just a gel in a dispenser. Staff were friendly and helpful, snacks to buy in foyer. Buffet breakfast, lots of choice but not much in the way of fry ups the British seem to want wherever they go. Very satisfied

Close to everything in zero point especially supermarket. Good location. If bus from Rovaniemi, get off at first stop AFTER hotel Spa and it is very close. Room is small but with sauna! Great after whole day of skiing. breakfast buffet has adequate choice.

A nice stop.on the road to Lapland. Great room. Nice staff. Not much going on in the summer.

Our stay at Hullu-Porro was less than satisfactory. We were given a twin room despite asking for a double. Staff didn't mention this until we came in to the room and their only option to change this was to downgrade.
Beds were way too soft. Sheets are too small so that after a night of twisting and turning you lay on the actual mattress (that has some dodgy hairs on it). Balcony is useless as you share it with the entire floor (thus also meaning you need to have the curtains closed at all time)
And last but not least the breakfast is very poor.
2/5 would not stay again.

Great local hotel where you still feel you are in Finland!

Hotel has some positives all based on its location. Its close to centre of Levi (5 min walk), next to a supermarket and alcohol shop and has restuarants, also it has free wifi so you find people sitting in the lounge areas just surfing. However unfortunately this is all I can rave about with this 4 star hotel - seriously is more like 3 star. The staff were friendly and helpful at the end of my trip but were rude at the start. I know my finnish is bad but on arrival the receptionist looked at me as if I was crazy to ask in finnish to check in and proceeded to speak slowly to me in English the fact I am English made that highly irritating. Also you have to be psychic in knowing your way around the hotel as they seem to not want to tell you on arrival - the elevator is through the lounge, breakfast is in the top floor restaurant, the gym and sauna/beauty treatments are on reception floor level and to the very far side of the hotel, oh and if you want to catch the airport shuttle bus wait outside the hotel not inside as I was told because it will assume no one wants it and will go - as was my case and had to pay for a taxi to the airport! But didnt affect trip too much as I tried to stay out as much as possible. There are lots of activities to do if you dont want to ski however most are overpriced and waste of time.

Poor room condition, broken furniture, rate 2 stars maximum, not up to standard of a comfortable room

We stayed for a one-night stopover in early July. Our room was on the second floor, and the temperature on the whole floor as well as the room were intolerably hot. This was not caused by the radiator which was cool. We had checked in at the time the reception closed (11 PM) so we could not effectively complain. The reception staff was otherwise extremely helpful. Outside the winter season, the snowless grounds are not well taken care of.

We stayed here last year having booked a package with a ski company.
We booked last minute this year through Hotels.com and accommodation was better.
Receptionists more friendly and helpful this year and rooms in better condition. (rather dated last year but still clean)
Buffet good, varied and plentiful.
Sauna good.
Situation good, bus- stop outside, and with easy reach of centre and supermarkets.
We look forward to returning again next year.
