Highly recommended!!

We loved the scenery and property. Well maintained, peaceful and beautiful. The staff were all helpful and pleasant including Rene Garcia and Juan Oropeza, who handled all of our reservations, transit and activities. The menu options were diverse, though we felt all of the prices were remarkably high, even compared to NYC.

Great place.
Price is same as US, I tought it was really expensive for Mexico. Raccoons at night will harass specially kids.

Please be carefull if you decide to stay at this hotel. My wife and I went there to celebrate our 30th wedding aniversary. First night ok but overrated. Second day, after breakfast, we took a walk on the beach… when returning to the hotel, I decided to take a swim at the see, but the hotel put some kind of sandbags without any CAUTION signs. Apparently mold grows from sucu sandbags, causing a very slippery and dangerous situation. I entered into the see but slipped and broke my arm in two. Goodby the holydays. And the resction of hotel members was terrible. With a terrible pain, a member reached to me and said that, if I wanted the Dr to come, it would have a cost of 200. That was the least of the issues. I needed urgent attention. The hotel still hasn’t reacted as to how they will deal with their civil responsabilities.

Amazing property , beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. This resort feels very quiet and remote - perfect for a relaxing vacation. Food is absolutely amazing - .especially Saffron. Highly recommend

Get there and be well. The spa I think could be more affordable but I didn’t miss it when I could just hang out with friends in our space.

Gorgeous private villas with spacious patio and pool, opportunities for private dinners on a boat down the river or on the beach or in your villa by your pool, group party dinners that you meet new people with live music, excellent service always one step before you at your room, restaurants, beach, spa, gym, anywhere you turn the staff has prepared anything you need discreetly and perfectly! Our second time there, already planning our next!

We were upgraded to the oceanfront villa. The area and rooms were stunning. Roger at the water sports area was amazing. Enjoyed using the paddle boards and kayaks.

It was relaxing. On our last night there was a knock on our inside villa door and we saw a flashlight shine under the door. The front desk said that they would check the cameras, but I would have felt better if security would have checked on us.

The accommodations were amazing. We loved our villa. Our concierge, Paulina, was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff weee always trying to please, even if they messed up or were taking too long. They were trying. We were a bit shocked at how much all the food and drinks cost. It was quite high for the quality received.
The beach seemed to be somewhat destroyed from some storms but they had some blockades to control the waves.

We have stayed at this property at least 6 times. The first time in around 2016 was incredible. However, the service and food just keep getting worse. The best food is at the beach. The remainder of the food is extremely over priced with little variety and when it does arrive it is not good. We paid close to $100 for a seafood pasta that was terrible to say the least. The bikes are scarce to find and are not in good or safe condition and the side walks need repair as they make bike riding unsafe. I had an accident on a bike at the hotel, broke my nose and wrist. It took forever to get assistance. The guest relations did then move us to a larger room for the rest of the trip so our adult children could visit with us in comfort so that was helpful. We love the location of this hotel but not sure if we would go back again due to complete lack of service and terrible expensive food.

This was our 2nd stay at the Banyan tree. We love the location and hotel. Service however is not good unless you complain. The service at the restaurants, especially at the beach restaurant, is lacking and food takes forever to receive. Be sure to pick a package that includes breakfast as it is a fortune otherwise.

Absolutely the best property I've stayed at. The grounds are unique, beautiful, serene, yet wild with nature. The décor is wonderful, every nook and cranny is tasteful and special. The lobby and all restaurants are gorgeous, outdoor spaces. The entire complex is walkable or bike-able. The beach is quite nice.
Each individual casita is perfect, completely private, and immaculately maintained.

Get ready to be the most relaxed you have even been , spa space is tiny and needs to be upgraded in my opinion

We have traveled to Banyan Tree Mayakoba over the last 10 years, the villa style format with private pools is amazing and very private, the spa is probably the best service you may ever experience. I think it could be even better if there were more options for dining, updating some of the villas (as the property is now 15 years old) and while there is a heavy staff presence the focus on service and engagement of requests could be improved. Overall always an amazing experience and if you are looking for private, safe and secluded time with your partner/spouse this is hands-down the best option in Rivera Maya.

The room, the property, the service was excellent. It's a beautiful place to relax and do nothing but the main issue I had was the prices for the dining and spa. They were exorbitant. Luckily for us we had a rental car and could eat outside the property. We ate lunch & dinner once. The dinner was $300 USD for a shared appetizer and main course with 4 drinks. Yes, you read it right, $300. If you're a billionaire, this is the place for you, they even have a special check-in area for those I assume are mover's and shaker's.

Everything about this property is top-notch! The resort is beautiful and well maintained. The villas are spacious and each feels very private. The service is always looking to find a way to say "yes" to your requests. And last, the dining options are diverse and every one was very good.
