This place had decent reviews but upon arriving in the room it was sub par to all the other places ive stayed. Uncomfortable beds, can hear everything going on, kids screaming people talking. Pay the extra little bit and upgrade to a nicer place! I spent $75 and regret not getting the $100 place next door that looked amazing.

So I liked that they didn't bother me daily with people knocking on the door asking about cleaning, it was by request. Seriously who needs clean towels and sheets daily. However, my only negative was the 1 cockroach that came from the hole of the a/c drain. Plugging it with foam do no creepy crawler can enter, is all it takes.

First time coming to Costa Rica even though it was raining most of the time here I enjoyed my time out here and staying at the Blue Palm Hotel I'll definitely come back and stay here while in Jacó

This hotel went out of their way to accommodate our requests and were very friendly and most helpful. Their attention to cleanliness especially their pool and common walkways were above and beyond.

Room was nice and clean. My only concern that the door to outside was a glass sliding door with a small latch so I’m not sure how secure it is.

Their concern for us and willingness to check out a person wanting us to go with him, claiming to be a guide. He wasn’t one.

Lots of noise from the hotel next door. Room door was just a sliding glass door with a crappy lock...not very secure If you just need a crash pad ok...don't spend your vacation here

Pool is great for kids and perfect temperature. Rooms are clean and very big. We had plenty of space for four of us. Staff are very attentive and accommodating.

The pictures and the description of the hotel are deceiving. I was very disappointed with the location. It is far from the main street and very far from the beach. The area where it was located was spooky. No way we were going out for a walk after 6pm. Our room was tiny. Beds were uncomfortable and blankets were given only by request. We got some noisy neighbors (kids) who kept us up until 3am! No one made them be quiet. They stopped just because my husband went outside and gave them the look. Two of the desk people were helpful and nice but the 3rd one we got was acting strange and not nice at all. Very deceiving. Very disappointing.

Blue Palm Hotel offers an affordable option for visitors to Jaco. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The room was very clean, although the beds were not very comfortable. The receptionists were really helpful in arranging travel reservations.

This was embarrassing. From the moment we pulled up to the hotel, the picture on Expedias website did not match what was present in front of me. False advertising at its finest. When we went to check in, the lobby smelled like cat pee and sure enough when we were directed to store our bags for the afternoon the room had multiple cats running around. We couldn't handle the situation and had to check into a new hotel as we had been traveling for 2 weeks and this was by far our worst experience. I tried to call to cancel and explain the situation but was out of the country. Also that day I saw the hotel for $44 If Expedia is not willing to reimburse me for this I would at least only be expected to pay the $44. As you can tell I have booked multiple rooms and rentals with Expedia and this is the first time something like this has occurred. Thanks for your time and consideration and I appreciate you resolving this issue

I was in Jaco for business. I only was at the hotel intermittently. I wanted a no-frills economical accomodation. I got it. It was clean, had hot water, and the AC worked. My only problem was the distance to downtown as this time I had no car. It gets hotter than an oven walking downtown. The staff was very efficient and pleasant. I got more than my money's worth.

Limited electricity, on a timer so your power would go off if not careful no amenities , nice to go and sleep but there was no hot water and very poor lighting.

It started with terrible customer service. The 2 people at the reception were very emphatic that if you lost something in the room or if we were causing any damage would be charged ... What kind of guests do they usually get? Like the TV, the air conditioner was very big and old - reckon from the 1980s. It was noisy and I woke up with a headache so had to chose between cold and noise or heat and silence. The extremely hard mattress and pillows with cheap old sheets and broken pillow covers. There was no hot water. Too expensive for what was delivered .. I feel cheated. Never staying there.

On the plus side, the room was clean and the bathroom modern and spotless. However, the room was very bland and had no window just French doors looking straight out at the cars and some scrubby ground. The aircon unit was ridiculously loud so it had to be turned off at night. The pool was also clean but had no view and wasn't very relaxing. The owner was very helpful and made a real effort to sort out a trip for us.
