Lovely place to stay, only thing I would say is they had dogs in the property which wasn't mentioned when booking,my husband is elergic to them, apart from that lovely accommodation and freindly staff

Owner not on site so minimal delay of 15 minutes on arrival. They were shopping for breakfast. Nicely remodelled rooms and facility. Very friendly and asked what time we wanted breakfast. Stephan took care of us. Drove to Salzburg for a tour the next day and enjoyed the night in after supper in Ruhpolding.

Stayed two nights as within 45 minutes of Salzburg and the tour we took. Facility is out of the way though 5 minute drive into Ruhpolding, a quaint pretty town and ski area. Facility lovely as updated and upgraded in the past 2 years. Room was small though comfortable and nicely decorated. Included a kettle, hot plate and utensils. Breakfast when requested and plentiful. Owner Stephan and his wife accommodating, friendly, and helpful. If in the area we’d stay again.

We spent overnight on 17 June. The hotel in overall evaluated 4.5/5 . Steve is a nice person and the location is good. Breakfast is ok and enough .

The building is somewhat outdated but the room and common areas were clean and equipment was in good condition. The hosts were nice and attentive to our needs. Tasty but rather basic breakfast. The guesthouse is located by the road with enough private parking space - really convenient, but there is some noise from the traffic. All in all a good value for money - recommended!

the person at the reception is very kind and friendly and whatever you need, he will attend you promptly and efficiently. The small disadvantage (but not much) is that the equipment of the apartment is the minimum (even sometimes lacking) of cutlery or toilet paper (something embarrassing). Things that only you realize when you need them (and not when checking). But the hotel itself is extraordinary and the breakfast very good. We will return if we have the opportunity. Thank you

We stayed three nights jul 16th thru the 18th of 2018. It was by far the best Hotel experience we had in Germany and Austria. The owner and staff were extremely nice and professional. The 2 room suite reminded me of home. The breakfast was fabulous. I can’t say enough good things about this Hotel.

I was surprised it was only rated three stars. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for a family of four. The small kitchen had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection of food. The hotel owner was friendly and efficient. Laundry service was reasonable and efficient as well. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel is located within driving distance of several area attractions.

Our recent visit in December 2015 was our second visit to Ruhpolding but our first stay at Haus Zeranka. We found the staff very friendly and far more fluent in English than I am in German. They were consistently helpful with everything we needed. We WILL stay there again on our next visit to Ruhpolding.

Stayed at the hotel for a night. It is on the main road to Ruhpolding but it was quiet. The hotel has free parking and is close to the town. We had room number 2 with a great view. You have a balcony and the room is an apartment style. The breakfast was great. You have a basket of buns, can get eggs or pancakes. There is yogurt and cereals as well as juices. They bring you a plate with cheese slices and a plate with cold meat cuts. Very friendly staff in the hotel. You get a really great value for the price you pay. Just can recommend the hotel to everyone!

Great authentic looking hotel, just on the outskirt of Rufholding. The receptionists/owners were very nice at every stage of our visit. They even helped us order a take out by phoning up the place. We were lucky to have an upgrade to a room with a terrace, the view was marvelous. Not the most spacious of rooms but it is the standard size for a 3 star hotel. I struggled to find a place were to put my luggage. Definitely would visit that hotel again!

We stayed in Ruhpolding so we could visit Salzburg, Chiemsee and Berechtsgaden. This hotel was in the middle for all these places and was very comfortable.

It's a nice hotel, with lovely in-room decoration, on the main (but small) road to city center. This small city is a lovely city and we love it. We enjoyed our dinner at a restaurant in the city center which isn't far from the hotel. The only things that disappointed us about our stay here were.... there was no balcony in our room as we saw in the photos of this type of room when we made the reservation, and it's right in front of the reception counter and close to dining room!

Great stay and pleasantly surprised by this hotel for its value. Great service and many unexpected amenities. The hotel staff provides a wonderful breakfast and is very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Only complaint was poor WIFI access in room. Interenet was working great in hotel lobby. Thanks again, highly recommended and a charming mountain village. We hope to come back soon!

We had our 25 wedding anniversary tour across central Europe and this hotel are by far the best hotel we check in. The hotel owner and her family was amazing people. They will assist you whatever possible they can. The room are so clean and organize with small kitchen with complete utensil you need for cooking. The breakfast are great as well as they will personally cook the eggs of what you like. The recreation and other facility around the vicinity of Rupholding are free to use as well as the cable car if you check-in to this hotel. The surrounding are very safe and fantastic landscape. Overall, this is the best hotel in Central Europe and highly recommended to all travelers going to Salzburg Austria (about 30 Km away ). The only regret we had is that we had stay only for 2 days. We should have stay a bit longer on this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, short drive to Salzburg, and theres also a train option. The room comes with a parking pass for the town and free cable car ride up the mountain. We really wished we had more time to explore the area. The room itself was very small for the 4 of us, but the small kitchenette was nice, and the patio was lovely. We had 2 small but full baths, one with a tub, one without. Breakfast was terrific-made to order eggs, crepes along with a meat, cheese plate and fresh bread.

Very reasonable price and the owners also provide a free parking permit and entrance cards to various attractions in Ruhpolding. Can't praise it highly enough, delightful hotel and lovely owners.

While the staff was excellent, we found the hotel a little misrepresented from the pictures online-pool and workout areas were off site. The room felt a little crowded for 2 with 2 suitcases. The upper,outdoor seating area was very dirty and we couldn't sit there on a beautiful early evening with a cocktail. Great breakfasts, kind and helpful staff.

Owner is very helpful & friendly. Location is on main road so could be noisy if you stayed front or side rooms. We had rear facing which was very quiet. Located near mountains and Chiemsee castle. There are microwave, kettle and crockery if you want to cook and eat in.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is very clean and modern and the personnel are very friendly and for British or American travelers they speak English. Each room has a small kitchen area, with microwave, small stove, refridgerator, hot pot..dishes,silverware..etc Rupolding is a beautiful town and you are close to Salzburg. I recommend highly this establishment!

They stay was excellent and we were greeted warmly by the owners and the room was decorated very nice furnishings and very clean. Very modern bathroom facilities. Each room has a small kitchen with stove and microwave and small refridgerator and amenties. If you have to go to this area then I highly recommend this Gasthaus Zeranka. Also they serve a very nice warm breakfast!

We picked this place because we wanted to visit Salzburg, Herrenchiemsee, the Eagles Nest, and Berchtesgaden. It was central to all these locations. The hotel is small and onsite parking is tight. No problem when we were there but could be a challenge in the winter. Service was excellent and at breakfast they cooked eggs or crepes to order. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our only complaint was that we wished they had heavier drapes on the window.

Hotel was located on a fairly traveled road. However, they had a fan so we were able to shut windows; elimitated the traffic noise. The Host and Hostess were born in Holland, but spoke English fairly well; as well as German, French, Italian and Dutch. The served a very good breakfast which included pancakes, fried eggs and waffles. Most Guest Houses DO NOT seve the last three items in Bavaria. We requested apartment room because it had two rooms and balcony. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had to be careful in shower stall because it had a 8" step down from stall to floor. Beds were large and cozy. Only problem was the heavy cover; NO sheets. However, this sitution was the same in all the Guest Houses we stay at in Bavaria. The town of Ruhpolding was beautiful. Lots of stores, banks, resturants, bakeries and an information center. Ruhpolding is only 45 minutes away from Hitler's Eagle Nest, Chiemsee Lake & Castle and Salzburg, Austria. Munich was approximately 1 hour 10 minutes away.
