Excellent setting,we had a spectacular view from our balcony if you were standing, not at all if sitting in the chairs provided, the wooden balcony obscured the view completely. The room was big clean and pleasant and generally typical of a top hotel, although I have stayed in many hotels and had never stayed in one with no coffee making facilities in the room before, that was a down for me,I had to either call for room service or go down to the restaurant or bar area. The hotel seemed to be very understaffed, we waited half an hour to get a drink at the bar,we elected to leave the hotel and have drinks in the town. All in all for the price paid it fell short over my stays in budget hotels.

Very well located with plenty parking, but tye service wasn't so great.
starting from the fact that the staff barely spoke any English , there were no signs written in English.
the hotel was ok but a refurbishing is needed

Nice place. Beautiful view. Cleanliness was below expectations. Bit dated. Large rooms. Breakfast was very good

This is a getaway place in southern Germany in the beautiful Alps. Highly recommended for couples or ladies looking to enjoy a spa hotel. I don't recommend it for families with school age children. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool. The spa area has a variety of steam rooms, two personal whirlpools, and a relaxation area. The buffet dinner and breakfast are filling. There are hiking trails nearby. Ask the front desk. The beer is very good. I have only been there in summer but I heard that skiers go there because it's cheaper than staying at the mountain.

Perched on a small hill this hotel offers scenic views over Bavarian countryside. Rooms are clean and modern, only the reception staff needs a bit of training on how to interact with the guests.

This hotel can be your weekend destination with the pool, the spa, and the restaurants. The spa have 2 person aromatic steam baths. There is a Silent room overlooking the Alps after your spa treatment.

Good sized family room with beautiful view. No air con an issue though as hot in summer and no tea / coffee facilities in room. Lovely breakfast with an average evening meal. The free alcohol with dinner was an unexpected bonus, but then again no tea or coffee. Not much evening entertainment either. Lovely pool and friendly English speaking receptionists. However menus, room info, waiting staff all in German so be aware non German speakers!!

Located in Bavarian Alps region. Nice hotel, FAB staff, restaurants & breakfast included. Just an fyi no in room coffee machine, iron (ironing facilities are on 2nd floor), wash cloths (body towel, floor towel, hand towel) & no air conditioner as we visited in July, a little warm.
Underground parking for cars, nice as it rained each day, for a short period.
Spa is closed on Sunday so plan for that.
We're both tall so bathroom was a little small, shower was great & plan to have as no shower cap, mini shampoos or amenities are given in room.
The dinner and breakfast buffet options were wonderful. One of the restaurants were closed but others to choose from.
*just remember while in Europe...smoking is through out hotel, hallways & part of the spa is strictly "no clothes" as to not be surprised.
ask if the gorgeous outdoor pool is open, it was not when we were there, only there indoor pool...equally as beautiful.

I actually wanted to stay in Oberstdorf but was very happy with my choice of hotel as it was perhaps more low key and modern than anything I saw in Oberstdorf.

The hotel is nice with a great view of the mountains and forests. The food was good and staff pleasant. The room cleaning lacked thoroughness leaving used dishes for two days until placed outside the room. The front desk also made billing errors that had to be corrected. If looking for a quiet more personal experience, then there may be better lodges. This hotel is too large for a quiet stay. Decent overall but would not return.

Booked a delux room and it certainly was compared to the rooms we had the previous week. No real issue, but the only dining was the buffet for dinner and breakfast. Staff was great and did their best to handle us (English only speaking). We only were at the hotel overnight and had little time to truly rate this property

We were not in the main building, but the other rooms are only a 200m walk away. The rooms were a reasonable size and had all the usual features except no tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfasts were amazing, consisting of a huge selection of breads and pastries, yoghurts, cereals, dried and fresh fruits, meat and cheese and eggs. The swimming pools are very nice and the view from the outdoor pool and deck is spectacular. We ate one meal in the 'Rotisserie' restaurant and the food was excellent. The menus were all in German but the waitresses were extremely helpful translating and explaining the dishes. It is a drive away from Sonthofen centre, and a car is probably essential to allow you to explore the area.
