Ideal for a business trip or even to enjoy the pleasure of the historical center of a unique city.
The hotel is very good with a welcoming and helpful staff.

Superb location, polite and courteous staff, the room is cleaned thoroughly every day, the cleaning lady who cleaned the room 423 up to the 8th of August did a wonderful job, the lady with glasses in the reception was very helpful. I will definitely come back again.

Great location. Great hotel. Nice and clean.

Very nice room with nice view of the sea. Only marked down as room was advertised as 4 beds (including queen bed), but room had 2 single beds (1 double bed).

Great location and very walkable. Room was large and bedding was comfy but I was disappointed by the room amenities, not enough toiletries ( had to ask for shower gel), no hotel information (not even a number to call front desk). Also the bathroom in the room and the hallway had a bad smell. The coffee shop, restaurant and terrace closed very early and you had no other option to get a drink or even a cup of tea. The staff was nice but I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel.

Accommodation choices in Melilla are limited. The Tryp is in a good location. It is an old hotel that has been updated. The beds are comfortable. The restaurants are good and most of the wait staff very friendly. In overall feel, it comes across as a little cold. English TV viewing is almost non-existent. This is the only place I have every been where they charge you 3 Euro/day to use the in-room safe. Isn't it to their benefit that guests use the safe? Overall, I felt that it was very overpriced but I also wasn't able to find a comparable alternative.

A lot of money has been spent in the communal areas but the rooms are very dated. In our room the net curtains were dirty, the mattress very uncomfortable and there was not even a picture on the wall, just a very ill placed half mirror. The bathroom bath was full of painted over scratches, the door surround was all smashed at the bottom and the magnifying mirror was rusted and unusable as flopping on its stand. We had three wardrobes which I thought was excessive but good but there was only 6 coat hangers in one of them. The staff have just got no clue. I called in advanced to book for NY s eve dinner and they said they were full which was fine but they said they'd try to fit us in anyway or to find somewhere else for us. When we got there, no one had a clue. We asked again and the lady at reception said they'd ask management the following morning. The following morning there was another member of staff at reception and he had no idea what we were talking about so, exasperated, we just left it. The rest of the staff are not friendly at all. It is very noisy outside because we believe of a karaoke place which goes on until 2 am. As the seals of the double glazing are half missing you could hear everything. The one good point was the breakfast which was absolutely fantastic.

hotel located close to all tourist areas, good view of the sea watched the ferry departing and arriving. Cleaners did a great job and greeted us with a smile, not many spoke English but were extremely courteous at all times.

This hotel belongs to the best hotels in Melilla. It is located near the centre of the town, and there is also a nice and clean beach nearby. Service is good and friendly, and it was nice to note that today it was available in the reception also in English. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Breakfast is good, not luxurious, but contains everything it sould contain. The only negative aspect was that the restaurant of the hotel seems to be open very irregularly at dinner time.

Very good stay. The breakfast buffet was robust and full of options. Wifi is good. Can walk to beach and sights.
The only con was warm food ran a little cold on the breakfast buffet during my stay.

We always stay at the TRYP Melilla Puerto Hotel when we go to melilla for the weekend. We love it. Customer service is great and so is the location.

This is one of two of the 'nicest' hotels in Melilla. This one has an excellent location and amazing staff. The breakfast had lots of variety and was good.
My issues were that I was 1 person traveling and was given a room with 2 twin beds. The staff tried to change it but only could offer me a smoking room.
The decor in the halls and the rooms is bit dated - not up the standard of this level hotel in other locations..but the nicest in Melilla.
Gym is in lobby, covered by wall that doesnt reach the ceiling - and only has 3-4 pieces of equipment. Thankfully, hotel near beach and you can run on the beach.

Everything went quite well. Reservation, room assigned (not the best view). But in general I will give 4 out of 5

We have stayed in the hotel before but this time we found it was not as well maintained, the paintwork is chipped and on the whole looking a bit shabby. If you do decide to book the hotel I suggest that you take off the plastic mattress cover that is underneath the bottom sheet before you get into bed if you don't want to be cooked in thick plastic all night. It was really uncomfortable!!! No to mention you wake up soaking wet!!!

We had a spacious double room with great seaview and stayed for 3 nights. It is a beautiful city and can be explored on foot with photo opportunities around every corner. Very friendly people. Wonderful hotel breakfast buffet with array of local delicacies and coffee in all varieties. The pastries and cakes are homemade and delicious. Would have liked to have had a kettle and bar fridge in the room.

Should have hired a taxi from ferry port but I thought better. However stopped a young couple walking near the park and asked them for directions. They tried their best but we left them and crossed the road at the large roundabout with the fountain, and who pulls up in car in front of us but the young couple offering to drive us to the hotel. Normally I would be suspicious but we had stopped them in the first instance and they were very genuine. So we accepted the lift and they took us to the door. This was a good indication of the friendliness of the locals.
Check in good and English spoken. Room large, sparsely decorated and on the fifth floor with a good view from a small balcony. A refresh of the paint work required; no tea making facilities which I would expect a 4 star hotel to provide. Only noise was occasional from the lift which we were next to. Breakfast good with varied choice.
Largest towels we have ever had, but they were frayed and the bedding was well used.

not bad for 4 night stay, good restaurant, great tapas

The hotel seemed very clean, in good condition and with professional service. It is located very centrally, though seems to be right next door to some kind of chemical plant. I made the mistake of visiting Melilla from Morocco to see in the New Year, but the whole place was deserted and somewhat depressing. Even the hotel's own restaurant shut early. So, whilst I would recommend the hotel, I don't reckon I'll be going back to Melilla anytime soon.

4 star hotel but service is mediocre 2 star at the best.
Gave me a room facing the rut even though I had purchased the most expensive on your site.
They did not think there was a differential.:" All rooms are the same"'
Moved to a superior room after I refused to budge.
Housekeeping is substandard. Glasses replaced and put in different areas each day
If you need to use the safe that is an extra 3 Euros a day???
Seems though that the choices of hotels in Melilla are minimal so you are at their mercy.

This hotel is way too expensive for the quality it offers. Rooms dont have a king size bed, but small twin beds, old school television, hardly any channels, no balcony, no swimming pool, it really is more like a decent 3 star hotel. Melilla has only 4 hotels thats why they get away with overcharged prices. Its not a bad hotel, the staff is friendly and everything but compared to Spain's largest cities you get more for that price.
Este hotel no tiene un buen precio/calidad, osea el hotel esta bien pero un precio de un hotel de 3 estrellas en Madrid seria mas justa, lo que pasa es que en Melilla falta oferta por lo tanto pueden cobrar lo que quieren.
