We enjoyed our stay at hotel Major. The room was clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance to the city center, attractions, shopping, and dining.

Had a great stay for one night here. Central location, clean room (mini fridge included), and very friendly reception. We were on the top floor which had many stairs to climb. Overall great value for the price

We had a lovely stay. Staff were very friendly, lovely pastry for breakfast each morning. The area was great and very convenient.

I really liked this Hotel! The owners are very kind, you can tell it’s a family business. My room was very clean, and the AC was welcome during this hot summer. Great value for the price!

the people who run this place were very kind and helpful all the time. the hotel was great, everything you need was there. however its not a great area for solo female travellers at night.

Property was in a great location - central Genova and walking distance to the port. If you fancy going slightly further, the bus stop at Piazza de Ferrari is also very accessible. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly. The only thing I would comment on is the ‘private’ bathroom is actually a shared bathroom with the other guests on the same floor, despite it being advertised as a private bathroom. Overall, a very pleasant stay for a fantastic price.

It's ok for the price, the only bad thing is that the hotel is not open 24 hours it's open from 6:30 to 1 am
It's an old hotel but it's cheap so that's ok.
It's very well situated in the city center so it's easy to go from the hotel to anywhere...
If you are traveling low budget and solo i will reccomend

Perfect location in the old town. Friendly atmosphere with freshly made continental breakfast. Choose room after your comfort standard.

Nice hotel in the very centre of the city. Very confortable to visit the monuments of Genova.

560 year old building, modern renovation (ac and bathrooms in most rooms) no lift but family helped carry bags up 3 flights and without luggage flights not a problem
In the medieval district , this is what we traveled to Italy to experience. Hilton’s are the same all over the world. Lovely breakfast , great conversations with hotel owners. A true Italian experience

The room smelled strange and the area didn't feel safe at night. The hosts were lovely and friendly, I just didn't think the accommodation was kept very nice. However, the price is cheap so I guess that is what I paid for.

Check in was easy though the stairs are narrow for older people so be aware, it is a family run Hotel and the staff are warm and friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the Hoel is quiet being on a pedestrian street. Would have chosen the private bathroom, but economy and convenience are not mutually inclusive. There is a Great Pizza restaurant around the corner on the street to the Opera house. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Very central location. Good choice for those who like to stay in the Italian old centres with window-to-window narrow streets.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was not big, but it was clean and will do also when I bring my wife next time. 50 meters away from public transport, but still quiet since it is in the small alleys. Good places to eat in the neighborhood and an excellent gelateria just around the corner. Internet works reasonably. Only negative thing I could find was that the description says "air conditioning" and I could only find a fan in my room - I used it for five minutes, which was enough (end of July).

All in all, my experience with this hotel was positive. The best thing here is the location. The owners were nice to me. The room was big enough, clean enough and pretty comfortable.
The weakest point of this place is the facilities. The shower cabin is very small and during my stay there were some problems with toilet. And the breakfast room in this hotel is the smallest I've ever seen. Even if 6 guests would eat there simultaneously, you would feel overcrowded. However, during my stay there were maximum 4 guests in this room, so it was OK. Their WiFi did not always work but they have an internet point on premises and the owners have allowed me to use it when WiFi from the room did not function.

Stayed for five nights in the hotel for a conference. The price is good, so is the general location. But be careful, the hotel is in a narrow lane and can not be reached by car. Close to attractions and shops.

Located in the medieval old town and close to everything; friendly and helpful staff; decent breakfast; clean rooms, though the bathroom (as is often the case in small, family-run hotels/pensioni in Italy) was quite small; fairly comfortable beds. Recommended for anyone who is looking for a clean and calm place to stay at a reasonable price

The italian alleys arent the easiest to navigate, but once I learned the route it took me only 5 minutes to walk here from plaza de Ferrari metro station. The hotel was cozy and basic. The owner was a lady who spoke english just enough so we could communicate. She also served cappuccino with cocoa powder on top with breakfast which was quite luxurious. Otherwise the breakfast was quite modest: bread, jam, cream cheese, cookies, fruits and croissant. But it was a free breakfast so Im not in the position to complain. Definately worth the price!
