Room is a bit old but overall very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Location is pretty good.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and easy 20 minute walk to restaurants and shops. Staff was very nice.

The good: This hotel was in a good location and the staff was helpful and polite. The decorations were very nice. I rented a bicycle - 15 euro.
The bad: The temperature of the room was hot - all day and all night. The air conditioning did not work. I was up just about all night for the two nights I spent at the hotel.

First, Eugene at the front desk is awesome. Truly outstanding job and very much appreciated all his help. On the other hand, the Hotel feels older and underappreciated. Honestly, it feels like it was a Covid victim (i.e. loss of business travelers) and has not been able to recover. Very, very limited staff. The rooms are fine, but there are some challenges due to a lack of recent renovations. The breakfast was not "up to par" with other similar hotels and was probably the most disappointing of our 2 week trip to Italy / Sicily. No gym and no pool.

The rooms were nice and the public areas were pretty. The hotel was on a very busy road so it was difficult to get in and out with the luggage. A paid parking garage was a couple of blocks away. Beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. Breakfast was satisfactory.

The hotel was nice and centrally located close to city center and within walking distance. Our room was spacious and clean and the staff were so friendly especially the breakfast staff.
The only downside was our room was facing the busy street so we heard street noise during the night. If you stay, I suggest the garden view room so you aren’t facing the busy street.

Great location! Close to the historic center but in a quiet location. Staff was helpful and friendly. Beautiful small hotel with a wonderful choice of food for breakfast.

Seemed to be understaffed. Breakfast limited and inefficient (eg: cereal offered at buffet but had to order milk separately). Staff not clearly knowledgeable about surrounding area. Amenities strange such as breakfast on fourth floor but lift only goes to third.

Our stay was a little disappointing:
1. We requested a twin bedded room and were given a double bed and a small single.
2. There was very limited choice for breakfast. The DIY toaster doubled up as bacon grill used by staff at the same time that clients wanted to use it. Cereal dispenser was faulty.
3. We saw a handful of staff who appeared to assume a number of different roles e.g. receptionist one day and breakfast waiter the next.
4. Reception staff were not always accurate with local information.
5. We had to ask for some things e.g. safe key, slippers, however these were later supplied.
6. Heated towel rail wasn't working. Aldo the automated alarm call didn'f work.

Hotel was a little dated but the service was fantastic. Location was very convenient to public transport and walking to city center. Right next to a beautiful park. Definitely recommend

Very nice place. Well appointed and tastefuly decorated rooms. Breakfast is decent. 35 or so mins walk from the central station or a 10 minute bus ride. A bit inconvenient in that regard, but it is fairly quiet compared to hotels in the centre. It's located in a reasonably upmarket part of town and the bus from the airport stops right out the front. Hot tub closes at 7pm, which is a bit early.

The hotel is lovely and very well situated on the edge of a beautiful park but unfortunately it was badly understaffed ad hardly any of the staff spoke any language other than Italian. The rooftop spa was closed one day, the bar never opened and they even ran out of ice … needs much better management

We really loved staying here. All staff were incredibly helpful and the old world charm of the building interior were lovely.

Reading other reviews I thought this hotel location was miles from everywhere. Its not, its on the main street, it couldnt have been more ideal for going anywhere in the city or catching a bus. Location was perfect & I'd feel safe 2walk solo. I booked a twin room to stay with my sister. I mailed the hotel twice to request 2 twin beds but It was only thru a 3rd attempt via hotels.com where they came back to me to confirm. The room was spacious & had a small balcony. But the bed situation was not good. There were 2 twin beds pushed together to make a kingsize & 1 camp bed. It was so uncomfortable. It would have been better if they removed the camp bed & split the king. The bedside sockets didnt work, we had to unplug the corner lamp. They only gave us 1 room key, i asked for a 2nd & was refused. The room wasnt ready when we arrived but we didnt have to wait long. When we did get in, there was a v strong smell of bleach & bottle left outside the door, & on the other morning we had housekeeping there was a damp rag left on the floor. The shower rack was very high up in the shower. Breakfast was for the most part great, but they are still citing covid as a requirement to prebook time slot & food the night before. Breakfast on the last morning was disappointing as they were clearly short-staffed. V long wait time & messed up order. With a checkout time of 10, this didnt help. But I actually would stay here again, small grievances but good price for decent Italian hotel

Great location overlooking the park from which it takes its name. A respite from the beautiful chaos of the city.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a nice experience even if I stayed just one night. The hotel's pretty old but it a clean and well maintained. Service was very good and even if the guys from the reception didn't have the best English they tried their best.

This hotel was a great base for us. Quiet, excellent a/c (not always the case in Italy or Sicily), nice rooftop breakfast with local cakes and delicious fruit and very comfortable and spacious rooms and beds. It's about a 15-minute walk into town, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the immediate area is an affluent, residential neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. However, one of the plug sockets had wiring that was exposed, without any warnings, etc. My boyfriend didn't notice, and got a terrible electric shock when he tried to plug something in. We told the reception what happened, and that they needed to check this/cover it up, and they said they would. When we returned, nothing had been done. Very dangerous if we had small children/for future guests.

Restaurant closed, jacuzzi closed, breakfast was disappointing, car was not kept in garage.

It was a good location as the bus is right outside so it was easy to get around. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The only thing I regret is they don't have a cafe or dining facility of any sort , not too much within walking distance of the Hotel and after a busy day did not always want to go back into city.

A beautiful traditional hotel with amazing public areas inside furnished with Sicilian antiques and some interesting paintings. The bedroom was spacious and modern as was the bathroom and both were spotless. There was an excellent continental breakfast buffet which is included in the price. The wifi was excellent. However there was only one power socket in the bedroom (once the lamp was unplugged) which made charging devices a challenge. There was another in the bathroom but we British are a bit wary about electricity and water! The hotel is next to the Giardine Inglese about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Palermo and there are frequent buses also. One downside was that it proved almost impossible to get a coffee and digestive on our return after being out for dinner. The bar person had to be called to emerge from his cubby hole behind the bar and even then on one occasion he just disappeared. We finally gave up. This is a shame as there are no cafes in the immediate area.

Most of the hotels in Palermo are very small. The Giardino Inglese is just on the edge of town, A 15 to 20 minutes walk to the centre of town. Thank goodness we chose this hotel as all the hotels further in are noisy and distasteful. This one overlooked a small park. If you stay here make sure you have as room overlooking the park which is quiet otherwise you will be woken up very early by the traffic on the main road. It is a small pleasant hotel. Don't expect any luxuries but if you stay just for a few days it is really quite pleasant. All the staff from the cleaners through to the desk staff were kind and helpful at all times. The only thing that let this hotel down so badly was the awful breakfast. At 7.40 a.m. in the morning the coffee was finished and the scrambled eggs were ice cold and rubbery. The bread was stale and we noticed the same cakes are left overnight and almost unateable the next morning. It is such a pity as otherwise it is a great small hotel for a short stay. Bus stop very nearby for getting into town or getting to and from the airport as the taxis are very expensive. There was a nice coffee bar opposite for a light breakfast. If we returned to Palermo we would stay in this hotel again.

good location for airport bus. v friendly and efficient reception staff. Underwhelming bar and socialising facilities. ignore offer of sauna. in spite of plenty of notice, the stones were not hot enough to raise steam. After firm comfy beds and sensible sized pillows, the best feature by far was the breakfast room on the 4th floor terrace.

Parking difficult, space for 3 cars one behind the other. Bar service is non-existent. Breakfast was just OK not any better. Slot of trash in the streets around the hotelGood location to walk downtown and shopping. AC in room worked well

The hotel is comfortable and clean and well appointed. It is next to a pretty garden and is in easy reach of the city centre attractions.
The buses in Palermo are excellent; cheap; but crowded. The 101 and 102 take you quickly to the city centre, whilst the 806 takes you to the seaside at Mondello (which is worth visiting, but not at the weekend!). Monreale is also worth visiting for the view.
Train trips are fun and I would recommend Agrigento (2 hours) and Cefalu (1 hour).
Although the hotel was very good and well worth the visit, I found Palermo somewhat disappointing. I was wanting pretty piazza's with decent bars and restaurants - somewhere to sit and enjoy - it is not like this, as the streets are very busy and the traffic very noisey. Not a tranquille city bu any means!

This is a small hotel next to Giardino Inglese park in a good section of Palermo. The rooms are very comfortable, service is very good & breakfasts, including the breakfast area with a view of the park, are also very good. Our room faced the park contributing to a pleasant & quiet stay. I would stay there again.

Spacious room, big bed, electronic safe, fridge, elegant French-door windows. My room overlooked Liberta street but was well soundproofed, and nice and quiet at night despite the traffic.
Tourist tip: the bus system, AMAT, sells 1-day, 2-day, or longer bus tickets (3 Euros, 5.70 Euros, etc.) that are a GREAT bargain, from their booths. (At the tobacco and magazine shops, you can only get single-ride tickets.) There's a booth at Liberta 1, in front of the Prada store. Buses #101 and 102 conveniently run through the city between the hotel and the train station.

This hotel is an absolutely beautiful oasis about a half mile east of Politeama Square. All the rooms are incredibly large and you will not be penalized for being a single traveler. They do offer a few suites that have bath tubs. The breakfast is on the top floor and offers beautiful views of the area. The employees are very helpful and kind! They offer balcony rooms that open up over the Giardino Inglese. I must admit, this was a beautiful way to wake up every morning!
If you stay here you will not be disappointed! The 101 bus stop is nearby and can easily transport you to the city center if you don't care to walk. I traveled by myself and can say that I never felt threatened or unsafe!
This hotel is bright and immaculate! The best hotel in Palermo if you want to be close to the action and in the newer part of town,

We stayed 3 nights in Palermo at the Hotel Giardino Inglese. The room was very comfortable, great bad and a beautiful view right across from the Giardino Inglese. It's a very convenient central location, good walking distance from restaurants and all of the city sights. The staff was very gracious and helpful with restaurant recommendations. Breakfast, the typical Sicilian hotel breakfast, is served on the 4th floor roof garden, which is a beautiful venue overlooking the park. We drove into Palermo, and GPS got us right to the hotel (with only a few wrong turns); the staff parks your car (20E/night), with in and out privileges. Would highly recommend this hotel.
