Great hotel - highlights were the extremely friendly and efficient reception staff, a couple of whom were so attentive. Rooms were large and well appointed. Only slight negative was the breakfast - there could have been a better selection of food, and restaurant staff could have been more attentive. Overall though, a good place to stay in Cusco.

Everything was great. Staff were professional and friendly. Only complaint was the wifi. It didnt work at all.

Really nice stay! We stayed in the deluxe room, 108, and it was lovely. Pros: I love the traditional touches, like carved benches and art. And there was also a nice modern tiled tub and shower. Reception was very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. Cons: the key sticks in the lock, the tub jets didn't work, the shower floor floods, and the thick bed comforter was way too hot, reception was dark and empty when we left at 4:30am, the drinkable water pitcher was NOT drinkable (cloudy and gross), the signage to the hotel is small (we passed it in our taxi and had to turn around).

Quaint and very clean. Charming courtyard with hot tea and water available. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Only cons: WiFi didn’t work in our room and there was no door on the shower. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

As soon as I checked in and was shown to my room the receptionist made me chamomile tea and told me to rest for an hour. She didn’t want me to get altitude sickness:-) They also packed me a breakfast for my 4:30 am pickup for a day trip to Machu Picchu. Very helpful!

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Staff friendly and competent. And speaking English. Free purified water dispenser in courtyard is a real plus. The breakfast is delicious and fresh.

While the hotel itself was just ok, the staff was magnificent. Somehow, I contracted salmonella while I was there, and they went above and beyond to get the healthcare that I needed. I will be forever grateful for their assistance, I am an American and had no idea how to navigate the Peruvian healthcare system.

Hotel was quite confortable, the área surrounding was in bad state of maintenance.

I did not like this hotel and the experience and inconvenient they put me through in front of my kids who were expecting much more than an incomplete shower. We booked a superior double with tub as they advertise in their website and Expedia, in contrast our shower was incomplete in almost fall and there was not internet. They gave us the worst and last room of that property, not caring of my booking ahead of time and lThere were other hotels with more amenities, real people who care about their guests.
Please do not come to this hotel.

Very quaint! This is a wonderful, boutique hotel in an older, authentic South American building, yet felt modern with all new conveniences. The rooms were large. The staff was great. The included breakfast was wonderful. And the location was within walking distance of the main plaza, but far enough away to be out of the fray. The hotel restaurant seemed to be closed most nights, however.
They stored our luggage at no cost while we hiked the Inka Trail, and our luggage was in our new room already upon our return.
Highly recommend and great value for the money.

The hotel was very charming. Just a few blocks away from the central square, so it was quiet. Spacious and unique rooms. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The staff was amazing and friendly.
The room though had some mold in the shower and even though we were close to the lobby we had much difficulty connecting to WIFI.

Gorgeous property, beautiful room, and attentive staff!

Enjoyed the stay. Room was comfortable. The bathroom set up was a little weird - a shower curtain separated from the room. Tea and water are provided. The staff is very friendly and assisted in airport transfers. They also let us store our bags while traveling to Mach Picchu. Hotel is about 7 min walk to everything.

Really enjoyed the suite. The room is big and comfortable. Try to get a room on the second floor. I returned to the property for a different booking and am currently on the first floor - I can hear everything from the people upstairs. Thankfully this portion of my trip is only 1 night.

Really enjoy this hotel. If possible request upstairs room. Staff is top notch.

Lovely room, beautiful hotel, and friendly helpful staff. Our room has a semi-private garden and jacuzzi which we loved. (Note the garden is not fully private so be aware)

We had a wonderful time at Tambo del Arriero. Kevin and Aeu were wonderful and patiently helped me print some tickets that we needed for Machu Picchu. The breakfast buffet is lovely and the hotel is very clean. The hotel is also very quiet and close to all of the main areas of Cusco.
Highly recommend!

The hotel met my expectations except for really bad WiFi. The only good spot to use the internet was the courtyard.

A cute clean place with a great breakfast spread. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming. I definitely recommend. My room was cleaned every day and they even give you to go bags for days you have a tour 2:30-4am pick up. It’s a safe and close location to Plaza de Armas (10min walk) and many restaurants and shops. It is a boutique but it’s really cute with its old Spanish foundations. As a result it has wall heaters that I assume are controlled by staff. I was there during their winter season so not sure about how the AC worked. I stayed for a week and overall great experience.

Nice people.

The room we were given was much smaller than the one depicted at booking. We had paid a substantial extra fee at booking several months ago. In the end we paid extra to receive less.

The property has characteristics, but in rooms heating and Wifi dont work. Staff were nice and helpful.

The receptionist has bad customer relations skills. After two plane rides we had landed in Cuzco and the taxi from the airport could not take us all the way. He dropped us (two adults and two kids under 10) off 2 km away from the hotel apologizing for the festival traffic and making us walk with 4 backpacks and 3 suitcases the remaining distance.
I arrived in the hotel, they had 0 customers. The lady at the desk did not even stand up and greet us. Then, we got our key and went to the room. I cooled down (from sweating) and went back to chat with her. Two weeks prior I sent them an email for a hotel pickup. I showed her the email, she looked on her computer but didn’t tell me if it was there or not. I also called Expedia, spoke to them and asked if they could also send an email in Spanish, to which they did and cc’d me in. In addition, also tried calling the hotel phone number the day before the flight and the moment we got off the airplane. I showed her my call history and she said her phone is fine but did not ring. Even pointing at it. Two reasons I chose the hotel, airport shuttle and free breakfast. That was my filter results. The receptionist denied getting any email or calls and also said they would never offer an airport shuttle. I stayed calm despite her being not just firm but skeptical of me. I then asked where the nearest food was that my son needed just a snack and she just said the square and pointed out the door.

Our room had NO WINDOWS, and we were charged extra for a makeup stain on a towel. The WiFi also did not reach our ground floor room, and beware that your mobile data may not work inside the room either.
Minor pros: The courtyard was nice and the breakfast was serviceable.
The high reviews on this property are confounding. Stay elsewhere. We enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Costa del Sol Cusco MUCH MORE.

Liked the overall property features: Good breakfast with great coffee, nice courtyard, free water and tea service. Very nice and helpfull sraff.
Wifi did not work all the time and the radiator was not on all night/early mirning.

Walking to plaza de Armas didn’t feel safe
Everything else was perfect

The staff was very friendly. When they took us back to our room the door was unlocked and windows were open and they knocked on the door as if someone might be in there. The room itself was fine but the towels all had holes in them and the contents of all the bottles of toiletries were not really what they said they were. The bottles looked high end. The contents for the hand soap was cheap dish soap and the lotion was like glue. The shampoo and condition were maybe a hand soap. Not sure but definitely not shampoo and conditioner. And the breakfast was insulting. Granted we went at 9:40 and it ended at 10 so the pickings were slim. I would not recommend this hotel.

goods: very clean
bathrooms are beautiful
staff are super friendly
great breakfast
good location
Cute looking hotel
needed improvement:
very slow internet connection, disconnect easley
walls are very thin can hear whole conversation of my neighbors
I know its an old building but lots of random noises, like the heater. Having to go to bed early for tours and random very loud noises wake you up, not good.
But for the price I still think this place is good overall. I stayed here 5 nights total.

Excellent, very helpful staff.
Breakfast was excellent. Walkable to everywhere. I would definitely stay here again.
